Forestry car park at the end of a single track road with passing places (we were able to take our 7.5m motorhome down without issues). Lots of space to park and quiet at night - just a handful of other vans when we were there. Can pay the £10 overnight fee easily by card at the machine. Public toilet available at the lower car park, but no services. Be aware there is absolutely no phone signal!
Toller Platz zur Hirschbeobachtung. Wir haben bereits am späten Nachmittag 2 große Gruppen auf dem Grün vor dem unteren Stellplatz gesehen. Herrliche Tiere. Am besten ist die Sicht in der hinteren Ecke, unterer Platz. Toiletten ok, fließend Wasser, aber kein Trinkwasser. Ruhig, reichlich Midges um diese Jahreszeit. Gerne wieder
nous avons passés 2 nuitees sur ce spot a 10£ par nuit. pas d'eau potable (trop fluorée pour être consommable) tres calme mais attention moustiques le soir. tres belles randos lochnagar et aux alentours. bureau des rangers pas souvent ouvert mais bon conseils si sur place
Both places (upper standard and lower overflow) are nice and calm. The lower one is almost flat on whole surface. There are toilets (so-so with the cleanliness), some benches and lot of places to put a tent. Car park is somewhat sheltered from wind by trees and dirt wall around it

Lovely place to stay for the night! Worth paying to have the toilet and beautiful walks! No phone signal which we loved but thought worth a mention!
Absolut bester Platz wenn du Hirsche beobachten möchtest. Fast 30 Hirsche habe ich gezählt. Am Abend sind sie direkt neben meinem Bus gestanden. Das war mir die 10£ pro Nacht wert. Aber du musst den untersten von den drei nehmen. Es hat sogar WC's. Hab sie jedoch nicht gebraucht. Super Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern.
Great stay in flat carpark. Second carpark closer to the toilets and Loch is better. £10 for 24hours. Toilets open all night. Amazing walks around the Loch or up the hills. Not busy when we stayed in mid July, 1 other van and several tents. As others have said you loose mobile signal about a mile from the carpark. Ticket machine takes cards not cash.
Brilliant stay. Surrounded by nature, red deer. Zero phone signal! 3 car parks (not shown in photos!) Public toilets open 24/7, no services, no bins. Loch Muik walk took 3 hours. Road down was narrow, but good, lots of passing lanes. Minimum charge for van parking is £10/24 hours. Parking machine linked with others in Balmoral estate and so clocked our arrival time as one at last carpark!
Nice location with walks around the beautiful loch. Parking for motor homes in entrance to left for coaches. Sloping in most places so levelling blocks required. No tv signal, mobile or internet. 4g available on ee near the edge of the loch. £10 for 24 hours pay in main car park. Single track of about 7 miles to get to location. Busy in summer but lovely place to off grid.
Excellent stop. 10£ for 24hrs. Beautiful spot. 10 mile single track road was well cleared of snow and well-gritted. Very cold clear skies. Amazing views and fantastic loch walk…
We parked in the overflow car parking at the top of the hill (near entrance road) as it was more level and had a peaceful nights sleep. Fantastic 12KM hike around Lock Muick. No 4G signal in the carpark, but some can be found further down towards the Loch!
Ruhiger Platz, 24 Stunden Parking für 10 Pfund per Karte möglich. Toiletten waren bei uns sauber. Achtung viele Mücken. Kein Netzempfang.
Traumhafter Ort und zum Übernachten sehr gut geeignet. Sanitär besser nicht benutzen. Wanderung um den See in 3,5h machbar und sehr schön.
Very good parking and lots of space. But the toilets are not clean because so many people use them after their day trip there

Bref, 10 £ pour passer la nuit en van, et il y a des toilettes. Belle rando qui fait le tour du loch, la nuit était calme une fois que les voitures sont parties. Cerfs lapins et oiseaux autour du van.
Stayed here early April. £10 for 24 hours. Great walk around Loch and pretty level spot to stay overnight. Loads of spaces available.
The parking place now allows for overnight stays for 10 pounds per campervan. Payment by card using a machine. They've also extended the parking space further down.
Issues with the parking meter, we ended up paying £15 for around 22hours. Bridge to the lowest carpark is damaged due to flooding and toilets are closed for the foreseeable future until repaired I presume. Lovely peaceful place and very quiet. Not many flat spots. Walk around the loch took us around 3hrs if you get a pace on. Stunning.
Heerlijk rustige overnachtingsplek. Fantastisch gebied. Midden in de bronsttijd, ‘s nachts waren de edelherten goed te horen. Toiletten netjes en schoon. Ik heb hier twee nachten gestaan op de bovenste parkeerplaats en stond daar alleen. Ik kom hier zeker terug.
Overnight parking is allowed for a £10 fee. There is a lovely 2.5 hour walk around lock Muick on good easy to navigate paths and tracks. There is also good access to the mountains also on all maintained paths. The only downside is that it costs £10 for 24 hours in a motorhome even if you don't stay overnight.
Interdit pour y passer la nuit, certainement pour préserver le calme des troupeaux de cerfs qui se baladent tranquillement dans ce parc. En balade, juste magique de se retrouver à 15 mètres d'un de ces animaux, tranquillement en train de brouter. On est vraiment coupé de tout (aucun réseau GSM). Attention aux midges.
There’s a new parking machine here- it’s £10 to stay regardless if it’s for 1 hour or 24 hours(max). The place is amazing. Spoke to the ranger who is lovely and just wants people to respect the place. There are no bins but there are toilets. Campers should park in the coach car park (it’s flatter and quieter which is a bonus!)
