Le Bettle and Chisel est un charmant pub, fermé le lundi, avec un camping gratuit à l'arrière. Pas de branchement électrique, mais échange de bouteille de gaz possible. Beau terrain plat et calme, aucun nivellement nécessaire. Personnel très sympathique et bonne nourriture. Musique le vendredi soir. Le petit-déjeuner est également possible tôt s'il est commandé à l'avance. Magasin SPAR juste en face.

Very friendly staff and good food. Music on Friday night. Breakfast is also possible early if ordered in advance. SPAR store just across the street.
Das Bettle and Chisel ist eine schöne Kneipe, Montag Ruhetag, mit einem kostenlosen Campingplatz auf der Rückseite. Kein elektrischer Anschluss, aber Gasflaschenaustausch möglich. Schönes flaches und ruhiges Grundstück, keine Nivellierung nötig. Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes Essen. Musik am Freitagabend. Früh auch Breakfast nach Vorbestellung möglich. SPAR Laden gleich über die Straße .

Under new ownership. Nice to see this place open again. Lovely quiet park up £10/night payable in the pub. Toilet and shower available 24hrs. Be aware the narrow entrance to the car park. Plenty of room out back to turn about and park on level ground.
Nice guy on the phone, i checked ahead before going and they now charge £10 a night.
New Landlord/under new management. Very friendly and accommodating. Stayed for a few nights. Bit cold in the shower but it's early February. water was hot. Toilet and sink. They have plans moving forward to improve the site for camping/campervans.

Sign on arrival on Wednesday saying Pub closed but campsite is open, so I'm not sure what's going on. Toilet and shower open. Quiet car park so had a good night's sleep. Nearest food is The Poldark Inn (nice) or the village chippy.

Nous sommes restés 1 nuit, très calme. Le pub était fermé (dimanche soir), douche chaude. La route pour monter au parking est étroite mais faisable (Peugeot Boxer L2h2).
le pub était fermé un mardi. le terrain fait un peu délabré.. la douche était Cependant accessible, nous ne sommes pas restés. l'ensemble ne fait pas très propre un camping car ne peut pas monter la petite route qui est très étroite.
Super emplacement gratuit avec douche et toilette. Le barman est trop sympa et le prix des boissons servi est vraiment abordable. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits, l'endroit est paisible et calme. L'entrée pour accéder au camping est très étroite mais nous avons quand même réussi à passer malgré notre gros motorhome.
Pub sympa et très accueillant avec les voyageurs. Une petite salle de bain est à disposition avec douche, lavabo et toilettes. Tuyau d'eau accessible et bouteilles de gaz si besoin.
Chouette endroit, vraiment gratuit (avec Charity box si vous voulez contribuer quand même). Douche et toilette propres et 24/7. Gens calmes sur le terrain et vue (sans odeur) à l'arrière sur un superbe cheval puis la mer. À savoir: nous sommes arrivés vers 18h et la cuisine était fermée. Peut-être uniquement en basse saison?
Apparently, although you order food from the pub, you're not allowed to top up your water tank. They only allowed me to fill 10lt water canister.

They dont take any money for staying their. and its a lovely grass field with no pressure from them. just be kind and go and have a drink the local are friendy and they will tell you the best place to go for breakfast. friday night they had a band playing
The parking space is amazing. Really quiet and has even a free cleanish toilet and shower! For a British pub the food was alright. Definitely recommend this sleeping place!
Es steht schon an der Straße, dass man hier frei campen darf. Sogar Toilette und Dusche stehen zur Verfügung. Die Wirtsleute sind superfreundlich und es sollte wohl selbstverständlich sein, dass man auch im Pub etwas isst und trinkt.
Second time I’ve stayed here and not been let down yet. Lovely warm hot pressurised shower and great level park up for the night. Quiet off the road sleep. Also can top up water here. We both ate in the pub to support the stopover so it continues staff pleasant. (Last time we used it was around three or four years ago and still as impressed as the first time ) good place to stop and reset.
lovely little free campsite with free toilet and shower that were nice and clean. sea views and a pretty beer garden. Highly recommended.
The park up behind the pub looked tidy, we decided to eat in the pub to help support them with the stay over been free, 6 of us ate there, when i say we ate there menu was very limited (not much left), the food was actually terrible. Staff seemed stressed. We decided to head back to our previous stop and pay again….. worse £85 ever spent!!
Lovely free campsite behind the pub, some grass some hard standing all level and clean. Enjoy a meal and drink in the pub! Very friendly owners! also free are the toilets, showers and water. Gas exchange. Very quiet night after enjoying a pint. Paid to stay in much worse places. Spar shop opposite, farm shop and breakfast available.
I’ve paid £30 for worse facilities than are provided here for free. Absolutely fantastic place, clean facilities, lovely pitches and great atmosphere at the pub. Truly worth a 5 star rating.

Great place to park overnight for free behind the pub. Pub is nice to meet people, drink a few beers and have a meal. Toilet and shower and beergarden with the sea in the distance. Recommended.
Free camping for tents and vans at the back of a pub in a fantastic location. The entrance to the back of the pub is tight. Hot shower, drinking water and toilet available on site. Also has a small farm shop on site. SPAR shop over the road, and a chip shop only a 2min drive down the road. We arrived on a Monday, so unfortunately couldn't try the pub as it was closed.

Flat camping, mown grass, sea view, toilet and shower. Free! We arrived at 10pm after closing so unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the pub. Would definitely return to enjoy a meal. Amazing that places like this still exist.

This place is brilliant, absolute free, the toilet and shower a great and there is even a little shop for you to get your groceries, I did go to the pub and got a few drinks but you don’t have to.
Ideal für 1-2 Nächte als Zwischenstopp in der Nähe von Tintagel. Kostenloser Stellplatz, wenn man im Pub etwas isst (Küche ist wirklich sehr gut!). Frühstück wird ebenfalls ab 8:00 Uhr serviert, wenn gewünscht. Seit kurzem gibt es sogar ein eigenes WC und eine warme Dusche in einem kleinen Nebenraum des Pub's. Besitzer sind äußerst nett und freuen sich über jeden, der über Nacht bleibt.
Schmale Auffahrt. Super nette Leute. Toller Koch, der alle Extrawünsche gerne umsetzt. Danke! Aussenbereich mit Bänken und Sonnenschirmen ist gemütlich. Der Platz war sehr ruhig und ist gut vor Strassengeräuschen geschützt. Ein leckeres Essen lohnt den Stop hier. Danke für die Gastfreundschaft.
Schöner Grasplatz mit Aussicht aufs Meer. Wir haben eine ruhige Nacht hier verbringen können. Der Pub bietet super Essen und die Leute sind sehr freundlich. Allerdings sollte man nicht mit einem zu breiten Wohnmobil hierher fahren, die Auffahrt ist schmal.

Absolutely fabulous!! bridgetngeorge sums it up well below! A few of us are parked up tonight, its friendly and peaceful and the food was stunning! We'll definitely come here again next time we're down this way.
Es ist vor dem Stellplatz ein B&B. Abends gab es noch was zu trinken und zu essen. Dort haben wir auch lecker gefrühstückt. Im Hofladen eingekauft. Die Besitzerin gab uns eine Mappe mit Ausflugszielen. Es ist hier sehr gemütlich.

What a gem! Free camping for tents and big quiet carpark for motor homes. Lovely food in pub and very friendly helpful staff. There’s a shop with an honesty box with fresh fruit and veg, some tins and basic toiletries!! Newsagent opposite. Good for walk down to Trebarwick strand ( 2 miles). Only drawback is lack of water though staff filled some bottles for us.

Prima gratis rustige camperplaats als je ook bij de pub eet. Aardige mensen. Mooi vlak grasveld. Ze hebben een kleine shop met diverse etenswaren en vers fruit/groente. Aanrader.
Free to stay as long as you have a meal, which was fab. quiet, off the main road. no loos after the pub closes but there are public loos over the road to the left ( unsure if they are open 24 hours). flat field, no showers, farm shop on site as well

Absolutely amazing. Nicest people at a fantastic pub. The team here make it so fantastic, safe and welcoming. Just can't recommend this place enough.
FREE!! Perfect spot. All they ask is that you use the pub. We stopped here for one night. The staff were incredibly friendly and we had a couple pints and played some cards. Felt very safe and public toilets across the road were open in the morning.
Staff are very friendly, there is a little farm shop on site too with and water tap that is drinkable.
Great pub very friendly and hospital. It is a tight squeeze for bigger vans to get into the parking/camping area but manageable and great for a visit.
The pub offers some lovely food, great atmosphere. Our 2 year old gave them all something to giggle about when he decided he wanted to dance to the music playing. This is a pub you can stay in for hours. Can use the toilets during opening hours but when the pub is shut there isn't any facilities.
Good place to stay. A little tight up the driveway at the side of the pub to get in to the car park but if you are good at driving then it shouldn’t cause you too many problems. Lovely quiet and well kept car park. The food in the pub is well worth a visit and also they open for breakfast too. Opening hrs for the food is 8am till 9pm.
