(PA23 8TS) Dunoon - Ardentinny Beach

Looked like a good spot but it was absolutely rammed when I tried to stay here. Maybe because it’s a Saturday but it felt like a campsite, every bit of grass taken up by vans, gazebos, huge tents - the 6 rule seems a little extreme though since it is a massive space, when it’s not this busy anyway. In any event, there was nowhere to even pull up so I moved on.

A superb spot unfortunately spoiled as a result of its popularity. Litter and dogs eggs abound.

There were more than 6 campers and mohos in there when I stopped for breakfast so moved on quickly if people keep flouting the law then this place will be lost soon too

Lovely setting. Only can on the 6/6/24. Ringo app £7. Nice walks and swim spots. But midged out, but sat on the beach. Toilets clean. Interesting buildings on the opposite bank, watched police patrol boats go up and down. Spotted dolphins.

Nice picturesque spot but toilets were really dirty / wouldn't flush with no running water when we visited. Access road is also full of holes so be careful negotiating the campsite area.

Lovely place that is obviously really popular (and suffers accordingly). Lovely quiet night and only one other van and a family camping. Toilets were ok. Pitches level and £7 on the app. Glad we’ve managed to stay a night here now. Beautiful.

it was quite a drive to reach with motorhome. great for families as it has possibilities of entertainment for the young one. collecting shells, watching birds, small walk in the forest, small stream. there were dog poop on the beach. the public toilet is in horrible state. for those with motorhome will survive without it. this place has a lot of potential if everyone just follows the rules.

Over night parking permitted, pay using app, instructions signed. Lovely spot to stay over. 2 adults, 2 kids and 2 daogs. Park up places spaced out. Nice little beach and walks. Picnic tables on grassed areas between parking bays and beach. Toilets available but not open 24 hours. No bins so remove all own rubbish. Will use this site again.

Heerlijke plek, ook veel tenten. Fijne locatie en mooi uitzicht! Je betaalt via een app met je creditcard. £ 7. Officieel mogen alleen volledig zelfvoorzienende campers overnachten, met eigen toilet. Er zijn wel openbare toiletten aanwezig. Geen slagboom gezien. Let op, de toegangsweg is voor grote campers erg krap!

Previously free parking area now £1 / hour, £3 / day plus over summer.

Beautiful place! Really peaceful outside of holiday season with toilets, benches and nicely spaced out parking. Stunning scenery and free amazingly!

Stayed here for the full moon. There were 30 vans, families, groups, dogs, fires on the beach. Very peaceful atmosphere.

Beautiful location with toilet facilities. Very quiet during our visit probably due to the time of the year.

What a spot! On the beach, remote and peaceful. Plenty of walks around on the beach and in the woods, diversity of trees is impressive. Toilet facilities clean and picnic benches.

A brilliant place, right next to the Loch, complete with toilets. Excellent views across the Loch where you can see dolphins and seals, plenty of local walks to do. Plus it’s free!!!

pleasant spot alongside Loch Long. Hard standing, albeit a bit potholed in places. Direct beach access, forest walks, scenery, rubbish point and toilets. Area patrolled by forestry commission. There were vans and tents using this area.

Lovely wee place right on the beach, nice toilets, lots of space for campers. was very busy with big families, lots of tents, bbqs, dogs and kids etc. so pretty noisy! maybe not one of you're looking for a quiet night, may be better out of season

Great spot in principal but loads of campers, huge tents, guy with an electric chainsaw cutting wood for the family fire bang in the middle just seemed a bit overpopulated. right on the beach though so if you're happy with almost a mini festival atmosphere then it'd be ok. Out of season might be different

Emplacement au top... Face au Loch... Calme en pleine nature... Wc sur place... A conseiller !! Attention toutefois a la route tres etroite pour y accéder !!

Really nice and quiet place. The view could be more impressive, but there are quite good toilettes and during the week just a few people walk around.
