Parking all day free in fisherman's car park. No return for 2 hours. You can then park a few yards up the road next to River Ouse for free but only for 4 hours.
Turn into Waterside then turn into Willows Walk to access the car park, rather than using the turning off Lisle Road (that bit is very narrow and has loads of parked cars outside terraced houses)

Absolutely not suitable for medium to large motor homes at busier periods. We headed there on Thursday afternoon - not knowing it was market day- difficult to access and finding no spaces had a nightmare turning around as turning circle blocked by cars. Very frustrating as this was flagged by ‘Visit Ely’ as MH friendly. Not so on busier periods.

Now includes 'no sleeping in vehicles' signage at spaces beside railway line. Parked there while exploring Ely, visiting Cathedral, and stocking up on groceries, but found alternative park-up for night. Signal on Vodafone and EE sketchy.

Right next to the railway line where trains are frequently passing...much too noisy for us so we moved on to one of several free car parks in the City

This is a really nice park up to explore Ely. The real ale pub and Bangladeshi Indian mentioned below in another review were both excellent! We didn’t find the trains a bother. Do bring mozzy repellent and fly spray. Sainsbury’s and Aldi a pleasant 5 minute walk through the country park. Do note that access is via a fairly narrow road - we managed in a 2.5m wide and 7 m long overland camper.

Parked here two years ago in a bigger unit. Back again in a micro. Still a good stop. Trains noisy but tail off overnight. But you must be off by 8am. Rules are complicated, but if you leave for 1/2 hour you can come back.

Extremely tight alleyway to get to this location, I struggled to get decent internet and trains going by 2 or 3 times an hour.

Prior to our trip to Ely, phoned parking authority there to confirm sleeping overnight. Had a very apologetic email back explaining that sleeping overnight is not now allowed in Fisherman's, Fore Hill or Barton Road. Normal day parking for M.homes is permissible for up to 23 hours. Back to drawing board for alternatives!!!

Still work going on with the railway- car patk mostly taken up with the workmen’s gear. They said yoy couldnt go into the car park - we parked up on the road by the river - lovely views- can park there for 4 hrs. We then walked down to the workmen and they said if there was space at the end we could park. So we did as not sure if we would be over 4 hrs. Car park dark. So when wevam back we moved again! And parked on the road. Went back into town for the evening. Great real/ craft ale pub Drayman’s Son and good Indian opposite. Quiet night. Good spot. Walkers and work vehicles by 8am. Some train noise but not a problem. Left at 10:30. Great antique warehouse round the corner.

Car park full of large water filled potholes. We parked on road. Water point on riverside, about 20m from road, so would need container. TV signal and 4G. Two large supermarkets near-by.

Good little park up, nice and peaceful, trains can be loud at night but not too bad, few vans parked up. Right next to the river, Parking also along entrance road. Nice and tidy and quiet. New local favourite spot.

Very noisy by the train track, freight trains run all night. Park my the river rather than in the car park.

Bon endroit mais attention il y a le train derrière le parking nous y avons passé la nuit. Tout à côté la rivière.
