Great park up for the town , locals are not friendly if staying overnight, especially the rugby club!!!! , and while we were there one camper went and parked long ways along the hedge ,so 5 cars could not park, really and why ,no wonder locals get angry , I guess they'll be a barrier here soon
Great spot. Theres a Rugby Club here that uses this area on the Saturday and Sunday we were there but had no issues and 2 other campers were there over night too. We walked (about 5 mins walk) into Bala and bought some bits from the Spar and also back in again later in the evening to eat at the Plas Yn Dre and would highly recommend it.
Great location. Lovely small walk to the town centre. Quiet - we went into the rugby car park, not the lay-by. A few dog walkers and joggers. After 6pm it was our own! One other camper in lay-by.
Lovely peaceful car park. ❤️ In the morning while we were standing with a cuppa outside, a man drove past slowly and indicated with his head and hands that we should leave. Monday morning 7:30am. Not sure why? There are no signs on the car park.
Neat little space for a couple of MH’s/campers. Easy to find. Walked into town for a takeaway. Peaceful night.
Easy park up with shelter from wind off lake. Short walk to town and toilets.
Had a nice overnight stay. Just a short walk to city with several pubs. We were not alone in august, there were 3 other vans
beautiful little spot we did park on the road but moved down to the rugby club car park to sleep. theres a short walk into town there are also showers and toilets at the activities centre just a 2min walk away not sure on the opening/closing times

spent the night watching the sunset with a pizza looking at the amazing lake view. no restriction signs and locals are super friendly.

Amazing. Spectacular views of the lake. Tucked away off the road so very quiet during the night. Plenty of room for a number of campers. Will definitely stay here again.
Nice quiet place just on the edge of Bala lake and only a 15 minute walk into town. No facility’s, but we used the ones just up by the leisure centre (toilet and shower block) as this isn’t too far away. Great little stop.
stayed here over night, very quiet and 5mins to the local town, 2mins drive to the co-op or 18mins walk. Great views of the lake and mountains, highly recommend

Basic park up. Construction works now (Oct 22). So be prepared for noise from 7.45am. Good base for walk round and near lake (note, there is not a lakeside path all the way round, but there are good access points). Good park up for access to light railway, and to Bala village too.
Nice Quiet place, hardly any traffic at night. Although it has lots of work being done to stop flooding. So you can’t see much of the lake unless you walk just up road. Walk into town 10mins away, co-op and spar.

Stayed overnight at the small car park by the rugby club, very quiet and ideal for a night. Toilets not to far away in the public car park.
The constructions are still going on and it will be a while. There are public toilets a 5 minute walk away (of course closed over night) and I would only recommend for a short 1 night stay. The view is not nice but we had a quiet and peaceful night.

Stayed here last night, road currently has road works on so can’t park by the lake or access the lake track. We stayed at rugby pitch car park, was very safe and quiet at night when the work had finished, the building worn didn’t bother us in the morning, started around 8am. 10 mins walk to public toilets and shops, peaceful safe night, would stay again.
Stayed in the car park next to rugby club. Really quiet all night and great walks in the morning around the lake and in to town
Stayed here last night (Mon) in the small car park next to the rugby club entrance. A good spot and quiet. There is a litter bin but no other facilities. Great view of lake Bala only 20 meters away.

Parking on side of road for great veiw of the lake. No over night parking allowed on the actual road but there is a small car park 50-100 meters further on, it's used by the rugby club so can get busy from 7 o'clock until about 9ish on some evenings. Stayed here for the night. One other campervan here. 5-10 minute walk in to the town. The car park was very quiet during the night.
Room for about 8-10 vans (but this would take up the whole carpark so probably 2-3 max) also do not block the entrance to the rugby club.. Next to Bala lake, footpath into Bala next to lake starting from the carpark. Bins on site. 4G and signal. Great nights sleep.

Bala is lovely. Nice pubs, cafés, chip shops etc. You can park on Tegit St. at the lake side (see photo) or what we did which was sleep in the small, free, car park. There’s a council bin at the entrance too, did my usual picking of 10ish pieces of other’s rubbish before leaving...
Lovely quiet park up. It’s a very small area near the entrance to the rugby club. Only 2 vans there on the night we parked.
God awful weather,we were going to stay on the road with a view over the lake but opted for the car park as it gave a little more protection from the wind.lovely & quiet we’re the only ones here??
We came here in April and it was very quiet. No other campers, just us. Lovely spot near the rugby club. We stayed overnight without any problems. In the morning we drove to the other side of the lake(bigger carpark which doesn’t allow overnight stays) to have breakfast with amazing views of the lake!
Great nice quiet place to stay the night on the road right near bala lake, so do not park in the rugby car park, there is no overnight here, unfortunately it was getting abused by some people, this location is ideal, but iam sure it won't be long to no overnight signs are up, I hope not, please keep it clean, I love this location
The car park is not suitable for motorhomes. Recently there were 2 parked across all the spaces and making it hard to access the rugby club. Now the area is roped off as a result.
Free parking with an awesome view over the lake - stayed during thunder storms and caught all the wind from the hills but so worth it for the view in the morning
