Stayed here 11/10/25 on the overspill Wetherspoons side of Bolsover Castle car park. Sign says gate locked overnight 6pm to 10am but could see the barrier is broken and it wasn't locked. Spaces are standard with tight turn to exit but was ok in our lwb transit. A little noise from pub as expected but after closing had a peaceful night. The Castle is fabulous we enjoyed visiting, recommend.
Quiet enough spot but not so much space for 6m+ vans. Think you’d want to arrive late and leave early for this one as it could get full and might get blocked in with a long van.
Bon endroit pour dormir. Plutôt calme. Parking plein le matin au réveil en revanche.
Free, quiet overnight parking next to the Castle and Wetherspoons. The toilet in the pub was open to the public from 8am-1am. One other campervan parked up. We have a lwb and had bikes on the back but found a suitable space. Would recommend.
Good spot. Stayed here Friday the 25th arrived about 10:45pm parked up. Quiet spot.
Couldn't get a space at 14.30 on a rainy afternoon. There is an overflow car park on the other side of the road, but I (solo female) didn't feel comfortable so moved on.
Stopped here overnight. Lovely location,nice and quiet. Pub just over road is Wetherspoons is good and cheap. Would definitely stop here again.
Right by the entrance to Bolsover castle, very quiet and safe. Pretty little town. Views are amazing as you are so high up. Would recommend if passing through and looking for an easy over night stop over. Plenty of places to eat and a Morrison’s 5 min walk away.
Fairly quiet overnight but bin/delivery trucks started at 5.30 so woke up quite early. Morrisons near and all sorts of shops in town down the road. Wetherspoons over the road great for breakfast as unlimited refills on tea/coffee. Good signal on EE. Didn’t go to castle this time but it looks a great attraction. Thanks to the area for this free car park.
Quiet and safe car park right in the centre and very close to Bolsover Castle. The Spoons opens at 8 so we were able to get washed and freshen up and have breakfast quickly. Great, central spot with a Morrison's nearby if you need supplies.
tried getting in with my 7.25mtrs and couldn't get parked as Bays aren't long enough, went around to the morrison's carpark, which is big enough but the manager would not let us stay
Stopped here overnight, Wetherspoons across the road, can see the motorhome from inside so for those a bit weary can keep an eye on their MH, bolsover castle a stone throw away, no pay or restrictions in place, let's keep it that way by no abusing the hospitality of the town.
