Viewpoint overlooking the valley and the mountain range. Just off main road. Very quiet at night but exposed to the elements. No refuse point. Not suitable for big vans.

Blick auf das Tal und die Berge. Direkt an der Hauptstraße. Nachts sehr ruhig, aber den Elementen ausgesetzt. Keine Schrottpunkte.

Kein Service, bitte sauber halten! Unser 7 m Camper hat gut Platz gefunden.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot, was super quiet at night but tourists do start arriving early. Suitable for campers and smaller motorhomes. Excellent 4g, no bins so please keep it clean!

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Stayed over night here was mostly quiet. Some cars went by and arrived with loud music but soon passed. Hard to go for a wee is the only thing is day. Oh and no bins! Cars arrived very early in the morning so if you’re staying over night be prepared to wash around early risers as we did. Amazing views and free to park so well worth it though.

Great little spot off the road with lovely view of Snowdon. Parked a big van with no trouble in the deeper bay spots.

We stayed here for two nights, along with other vans. Although it is right next to the road, it is very quiet. It's about a 5 minute drive to the Pen y Pass car park for The Miners and Pyg Tracks up Snowdon. Has great views too.

We found this spot in the dark and what a beautiful view to wake up to! Flat park up and room for quite a few vehicles off the road.

  • 5/5

Stayed here overnight in a tentbox before hiking Snowdon. Views are stunning. There were no other overnight stayers and only a few vehicles passed in the night. Perfectly flat and plenty of room for multiple vehicles to park up comfortably.

  • 5/5

Very easy night sleep. Flat, with a lovely view over the valley. We used this as a stop over for the night before summiting Snowdon in the day. Hardly noticed cars driving by.

  • 5/5

Gorgeous view point and flat for campervans. 2 other vehicles but room for 10.

  • 5/5

Stayed here for one night before climbing snowdon. Enough room for several long wheel base vans / campers. Lovely view and didn’t notice cars going by in the night.

  • 5/5

Lovely viewpoint overlooking the valley and mountains including snowdon , very exposed to elements as is slightly higher up but worth it. Can be a very busy stop around sun set and sun rise so we set off around 10am for other viewers but no hassle to spend the night. Definitely recommend

  • 5/5

Like others have said I don’t get why some are cramped in the lay-bys further down the road. Spent the night with another van and car camper. Weak 4g but good enough, compared to 0 signal down by the lake. Can see Snowdon on a clear day (mine wasn’t) very peaceful after 10:30/11pm before that lots of cars and bikers. People started to come in around 8am, my queue to leave:)

Keinerlei Verbotsschilder. Nachts sehr, sehr dunkel und leise. Aaaaaber, von 7h bis 20h permanenter Publikumsverkehr. Nervt denn doch ein wenig...

Really nice spot. Don’t know why others were parked up cramped on the side of the road when this place was empty… just us and three other vans. Amazing views …. Amazing starry night …. Amazing sunrise. Dead quiet once nightfall and vehicles stopped passing. No facilities, but with views like this, who cares !?

  • 5/5

Loved this parking spot. Views of Snowdon and valley second to none. There are no signs saying no overnight parking. Space for around 20 vehicles. Windy due to exposure but really lovely. No other vans there when we were there. Out of courtesy I’d want to be out of there by 8am ish to let people park during the day but no problem being there overnight. Would recommend!!

Quiet night with a handful of passing cars! Had the place to ourselves!

  • 4/5

Great views up and down the valley, hence being quite exposed. We had quite a blustery night!

  • 5/5

Stayed here Saturday night, 2 other vans and 2 cars! Woke up to one of the best views I’ve woken up to, leave no trace and enjoy!

  • 4/5

Absolutely incredible views to wake up to! Stayed the night with the dog and although it’s a busy car park, I’d say it’s worth the noise of people parking up to catch the bus in the morning!

  • 4/5

If there were signs preventing overnight stays there aren't anymore. No visible restrictions. Fabulous spot

  • 5/5

Found this by chance whilst driving. Had a great night here with amazing views, no signs about not allowing overnight parking, it is a small car park so 2 campers in it would spoil the viewpoint. I note from other comments there used to be a sign saying no overnight, there was no signal so we did not see this until the next day. Despite it being lovely I wouldn't stay again based on other posts.

  • 2/5

Beautiful view indeed but No overnight parking allowed.

  • 2/5

Definitely not a wasted trip as beautiful views (even in the rain) but there are loads of signs saying no camping/overnight parking now. Respected the signs and moved on. Definitely a viewpoint not a park up.

  • 4/5

Lovely spot, stayed one night (8:30pm-1:30pm) with no problems. No signs to say you can't stay over night. 40 mins or so walk (half on and half off the road) to Pen-y-Pass trail start. Beautiful views! There's about 13 spots, no loos or bins, but that can be sorted. Traffic until about 11pm, but not bad, picked up at around 7am. Would definitely stay again and recommend this spot.

  • 4/5

The views are incredible here. You can see the Snowdon and few other picks. There are 12 parking spots. The place can get busy with people stopping to shoot the views but it gets really quiet at night. There is no sign specifying not to park over night.

  • 4/5

Amazing views, was quiet in February. Spent the night on our own, room for 3/4 vans. No bins or amenities. Open to the elements.. Was very windy but we stayed during a storm.

  • 5/5

Spent 2 night there, late November 2019. lovely spot with fantastic view looking down at Llyn Gwynant. I would imagine it very popular during the warmer months. On my first night there was one other camper, the second night was just me. Very quiet, perfect.

  • 5/5

Parked here in our XLWB Iveco. Depending on season/traffic could easily get a couple of large vans/motor homes here. Stunning views. Stayed overnight - not moved on. No obvious signs stating no overnight parking.

  • 5/5
