lovely pub, fishing lake opposite. Just went in for a meal. food was good 2 cottage pies from specials board, a pint and a gin. £50 So good stay. some noise from passing traffic no issues.

Stayed for one night and had dinner. The food is fantastic! a bit pricey but so worth it. Dog friendly in the bar area where you can eat. Some road noise but didn't disturb our sleep. We will definitely be back!

  • 5/5

Absolutely superb dinner, friendly staff and dog friendly. We ate in an alcove in the pub. I recommend the cider.

Great park up there was noise of traffic in the morning but nothing bad . The pub is a great place staff very friendly and very clean .

Pleasant stopover. Parked for one night. Car parking is good. Some noise from passing traffic, especially first thing in the morning. Park on the field side edge to minimise the noise. Food was OK, but expensive.

A lovely spot to stay the night. Car park & grass field are flat. The road is busy especially in the morning so I'd park on the side furthest away. There are no facilities although the toilet you can use when the pub is open. The staff were welcoming and friendly & the food was great too. I booked ahead as it's only polite & I'd certainly stay there again.

Nice, quiet and level parking area. Lovely staff, opened the premises early to enable toilet use (if needed). Meals not cheap but a good choice. Breakfast available from 0930-1130. Photo of dining room and outside garden appended. Nice ciders! A small, day ticket, coarse fishing lake is just over the road if you fancy a go.

A good overnight stopping place. Straightforward to get to and within easy distance of Gloucester. Half a dozen vans parked on the grass area at the end of the carpark. We ate in the restaurant, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The night was peaceful, we could hear the road in the distance but once we were in the van it was not at all intrusive.

Great park up, parked at the end of the parking area, fairly level, friendly pub. Good beer and food

Perfect for an overnight stop. Phoned ahead and booked a table in the restaurant. Staff are really friendly, access to the RV area is easy and the bays are quite level. Food, wine and beer were great

Lovely pub stopover! Emailed the day before and they emailed back with some information regarding motorhomes which was very useful. 2 designated RV parking but overflow available if needed. They do like you eat/drink there which we would definitely recommend as they food is delicious!! Fabulous service too! A little bit of distant road noise but didn’t keep us awake. Great place to stay!

Amazing place go stay great pub x

Large carpark with gravel bays and grassy area at the back for larger vehicles. Around half a dozen others here on a June Saturday evening when I arrived, mostly motorhomes. Still plenty of space for me to squeeze in. Super friendly staff, delicious food and well kept beer. Worth booking online for a table when busy.

Back here again. 3rd time we have been here. Really lovely place. We visited on a Tuesday and it was very busy with food. No problem stopping at the back in the grassed area. Free of charge - thanks to the owners - always most welcoming - a pleasure to stay here. Only down side is the excessive continuous traffic noise

Fantastic stop over on a flat parking area and also great food. There is nothing not to like about the Old Spot.

  • 5/5

Great spot and a great pub.

Es un simple parquing de pub, pero tiene un espacio reservado para autocaravanas y Vans. Fuimos a cenar para compensar la noche y la comida nos pareció deliciosa, pero si no hubiéramos ido, nadie nos habría pedido nada por pernoctar

What a gem of a place. Arrived too late for food so phoned in advance to be polite. Made sure to grab a few beers at the bar (can even take them back to the van). Bumpy up the back, but beautiful view westwards and a nice addition with the picnic benches. More establishments like this in the UK, please!

Beautiful location and pub, very close to motorway for an overnight stay. Grass area at the end of car park enough for around 8 vehicles. Recommend booking a table for food as very busy in summer.

  • 5/5

This is a brilliant spot. It's free, the pub is fantastic - great selection of drinks and the food is all from local suppliers. Staff are friendly, it's a fairly quiet place, some road noise but that's it really.

  • 5/5

As previously described- still free stop over in car park over flow. they would like you to eat and drink in the pub. Food excellent and good choice of beers . I’ve added to my favourites

Easy to find, food was nice. Would come again.

Great pub. Great overnight camping. Five stars.

Stayed 1st April for one night and had dinner in the bar plus a few beers. Excellent food, and place was busy. I parked in the large space just at entrance to paddock at the rear of the car park. Very quiet through the night.

Amazing place arrived fashionably late and just missed a chance to order food at 2030hrs however advised in future order ahead and food will be available. Alternatively do as we have have done and ordered breakfast (applicable on special event) so we feel we have supported the pub accordingly.

In my camper alone while away working, arrived after 9pm so unable to comment on the food but the menu looked amazing, really welcoming staff and a very nice G&T, very large level car park

Stopped here for a over night break, good food, friendly staff, recommend

Perfect stop over if travelling on the M5. Friendly staff. Very nice pub. Feels very safe and welcoming. No facilities other than bins and what's available at the pub when open. No charge other than patronage of the pub!

  • 5/5

The car park in question is behind the Old Spot pub. There is no charge but landlord would like you to have a meal or drinks. Absolutely lovely pub and bear garden and awesome menu and staff are extremely helpful. There are two designated Motorhome parking bays at the far end of the car park as well as and overflow field at the end of the car park. See attached photos. Very close to motorway. THE PERFECT STOP OVER.

Next to a pub. Free if you eat in, a bit of a busy road.
