Great stopover. We rang in advance to book a table and a plot for the night in the carpark. Very hospitable landlady and good food. Nice pub too. The road noise quietened overnight and we had a great night's sleep. Would recommend.

Stayed one night, asked at the bar if we could park up and they said it was fine. Very friendly crowd! Some noise from the road but felt very secure all night.

We stayed for 1 night, had a great dinner in the pub and a couple of beers. They were happy for us to stay, just be courteous and ask first.

Beautiful spot to stop, great views and not too much noise from the road. The staff are really nice and welcoming, and the food is beautiful. Will definitely stay again.

Great pub, friendly staff and locals ,reasonable prices with outside seating available for the warmer weather. as long as your having a drink or some food you may stay for free. what could be better.

This is a nice pub/restaurant to stay. It’s free to park over night as long as you eat in the pub. There is some road noise, but nothing a few drinks can’t sort for a good night sleep. The staff are friendly, and the food was nice, with decent selection of pub grub at very reasonable prices. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for one night and they still allow motor homes if you have a meal in the pub. The food was lovely. The owners were very pleasent and Mable the pub pupper was also a delight! The road caused us a disturbed sleep but after plenty of drinks in the pub it wasn't too much of a problem. They even supplied us with some sugar to take with us.

Lovely old pub, very friendly and fantastic beer and food, catering for gluten free diets too. By side of busy road but we managed a good nights sleep.

We have just turned up at this hour, tried our luck to see if we can park on the carpark and the lady was brillant, very friendly! 100% recommend. Sat drinking gin in the bar.

Great place for a night, lovely people, food was fine, the road was a bit too busy for our liking.

Stayed here for 1 night 7/03/2020 lovely welcoming staff, food at pub with hardstanding, nice views busy cut through road but pub in middle of no where. A few other campervans there too when we left next morning. Perfect for a stop over as long as you have food/drink in pub would think be OK.

Stayed one night in Oct. It was a very cold night, so sitting in the pub having dinner and drinks by the wood burner was heavenly. Lady behind the bar was very friendly, and let us camp next to the closed field behind the car park, making it perfect for walking the dog in the morning. The food was excellent, and very well priced.
