There are storm force winds outside but so far this little nook seems very sheltered
well that was the case. Storm Jorge howled through the trees but my van seldom moved. I did park on the seaward side where the trees were saplings as a precaution.

Small clearing surrounded by trees (30/40 spaces). Stayed here 2 nights , very quiet space of a night , lots of dog walkers from 8am onwards. Very wet, muddy ground in December but at least its flat . 5 min walk to the beach / marina.. No signs or height restrictions, totally free so LEAVE NO MESS !! (wheelie bin on site)

Perfect for a short overnight stay! We spent the day in Liverpool and arrived late. It was just us. Some mosquitoes are there. Locals coming early in the morning for walks at the beach.

stayed 1 night, fairly sheltered, short walk to the beach but we didn't go down on to the sand as during storm Floris so we would have been sandblasted! Lots of dog walkers but quietened down at night. our van is 6.9m long so we had to park across 4 spaces so would have struggled if it was super busy as no official space long enough to back into. 1 other van stayed overnight

Loud naked drunk man running around screaming everton songs at 3am , other than that nice spot.

Large flat carpark with a bin, 2 minutes walk to the beach. Very peaceful night, very dark so we had a great view of the stars, extremely quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely loved this beautiful little spot. Overlooking the sea and Wales with a short descent to the beach. Surprisingly sheltered from the wind and enough room for just 4 vans. No trouble and a very peaceful night. Will definitely return when back this way again!

The directions led to a narrow private road not really appropriate for Motorhome. There is a small area at the end of the road facing the beach, which may be where people parked up (but probably difficult in a longer van)

Great spot, short walk to the beach and West Kirby. No parking restrictions and very quiet at night.

Stopped for 1 night ,no amenities except a bin . Busy car park in the day with dog walkers and joggers it's on the Wirral Circular. No hassle at night and quick walk to the beach ⛱️

This location is in Caldy please don’t confuse with Thurstaston. We thought this location was ideal, private and had no restrictions. If you’re lucky there are a couple of spaces direct on the sea front but the car park is equally lovely. We had a fab walk on the beach and would highly recommend.

I live near here and I think some of the reviews are referring to a different location. There is no barrier to the car park and there is no restriction on overnight parking. No facilities but West Kirby town centre 30 minutes walk along beach or Wirral Way path.

  • 1/5

no parking overnight allowed or indeed turning right down the road leading to the beach car park, unless accessing the caravan and motorhome site

plenty of space for parking during the day.wooden sign at car park entrance said that the gates closed at dusk but the temporary signs said 6pm.we went to leave the car park at 17.50 but found it locked already do we had to stop for the night anyway.

great stopover plenty of space at this time of year and right by the beach fantastic dog walks EDIT Was going to stay on our way back down parked about 5pm with a camper only to have a very rude Wirral council man bang on our motorhome telling us the gates were shutting at 6pm,fair enough but we was threatened with a £200 fine from a very rude arrogant man,no need to be rude horrible man !

Perfect spot. Short walk into the town. Sheltered by trees in the car park. Gates do say they will be locked but they weren't so I wouldn't worry about that. Large car park and very flat. Would recommend the walk out to the Hilbre Islands. - Make sure you have waterproof shoes though! Very quiet at night time but busier during the day

The car park signs state the from May to Sep the car park is locked at 9. Beautiful car park and lovely beach near by at the end of the road. This is the village of Caldy.

Lovely little nook, signs old/defaced at beach, well worth parking beach front, despite a slight camber. Police came, didn’t bother us. Loads of dog walkers but everyone polite and friendly. We didn’t even look at the car park part!

It closes at 9pm. Signs everwhere
