War sehr ruhig. Ab morgens kamen ein paar lkws vorbei. Sonst gut zu stehen. 1 Liter Milch kostet dort 1.65
Parking du club de rugby avant l’entrée au camping du Camping Club. Nous avons séjourné ici une nuit pour faire une excursion dans le sud-ouest. Certains bruits de la route mais sinon très calme et ne sont pas dérangés du tout. Mon père m'a parlé de cet endroit apparemment fréquenté souvent par des camping-cars. Pas d'installation mais Toby en bas de la rue pour le dîner/petit-déjeuner.
Car park of the rugby club before the entry to the Camping Club campsite. We stayed here one night to break a journey south west. Some road noise but otherwise very quiet and weren't bothered at all. My Dad told me of this spot apparently frequented quite often by motorhomes. No facilities but Toby down the road for dinner / breakfast.
Parkplatz des Rugby-Clubs vor der Einfahrt zum Campingplatz des Camping Clubs. Wir haben hier eine Nacht auf einer Reise in den Südwesten verbracht. Etwas Straßenlärm, aber ansonsten sehr ruhig und überhaupt nicht gestört. Mein Vater erzählte mir von diesem Ort, der anscheinend oft von Wohnmobilen frequentiert wird. Keine Einrichtung, aber Toby die Straße runter zum Abendessen/Frühstück.

debandsean25/08/2025Excellent level site with plenty of room. Traffic noise picks up early in the morning, however pretty quiet all night. Dairy and milk dispenser at end of carpark. Just beyond the south end of the carpark is a monument/tribute to the contribution this region made during WW2. Significant numbers of Spitfire aircraft were manufactured here, and the Spitfire and description are worth a visit too.

Yes, it is a bit noisy, but it is free. And you are close to Old Sarum, the ruins of the old castle and Cathedral, well worth a walk up to. 30 mins walk in to town .

parfait pour une nuit, bruyant mais sans restriction. Distributeur automatique d'oeufs et de lait, pratique on a un camping car 6 m, c'est ok sur les places de côté.
mallee30/06/2025Hier 2 nachten gestaan. Erg veel geluid van de weg die er direct naast loopt, maar tussen 23.00 en 6.00 is het redelijk rustig. Prima uitvalsbasis om het verderop gelegen Old Sarum Castle te bezoeken(loopafstand) en de bus naar het centrum van Salisbury vertrekt en stopt voor de deur.

Très pratique pour aller visiter Salisbury. Un arrêt de bus est juste à côté. Nous avons préféré rejoindre le centre ville avec nos vélos en utilisant la piste cyclable qui passe juste à côté devant le camping (itinéraire cyclable repris sur Google Map). En 10 minutes, vous rejoignez le centre.

A great free overnight car park 30 minutes walk from the centre of Salisbury. Ideal for a motor home of any size. The only downside is that it is right next to a busy road although it wasn’t too noisy during the night until about 6.30am, then it got busy and much noisier. 1 night would be enough. No facilities nearby. Great for dogs as it’s next to a large meadow. Would highly recommend.

stayed here for 1 night and all fine the road traffic is quite loud so we parked over in the car park near the milk machine and wasn't to bad ..would definitely use it again

The car park is level, traffic noise is moderate at night, we stayed one night. Good spaces for overhanging MH's. No facilities.

Hemos pasado una noche, había otras 2 autocaravanas y ningún problema. Hemos entrado en una plaza de parking dejando la parte trasera en la hierba así que no molestamos. La única pega es que está al lado de la carretera.

Nice level car park. Approximately fourth spaces. No prohibition notices. Free. No services. However adjacent to busy road although less traffic at night. Would use again and recommend. Remember, leave no trace.

Level car park with no charges and no signage. Next to main road so some noise particularly during morning rush hour. Stayed night of 4th July 2023. No boy racers or activity at night. Bus stops just outside car park. City centre is 10mins on bus and probably 25mins on foot. Harvester pub 500m up road.

Pratique quand on remonte au Nord de l’Angleterre mais très bruyant. Beaucoup de circulation, moins la nuit. Assez sale, des poubelles pleines. Un parc juste à côté. Pas de problème de sécurité malgré une voiture en pleine nuit avec la musique à fond. Aucun service.

Nous y avons passé la nuit sans aucun problème. Des locaux sont même venus discuter très amicalement. Aucun corbeau n’est venu nous traumatiser comme « dit » dans le commentaire précédent. Nous nous sommes garés sur la première place à droite en entrant car longue pour notre véhicule de 7m. On entend la circulation mais calme la nuit.

I was here the other day and I found it better than the car park just round the corner although I did still get woken up by some neurotic crows but not as many! One thing to note here is the milk vending machine in the corner of the car park (how West Country is that?), it's worth buying some of the milk there despite the price of the bottles, which are re-useable so it's not so bad in the end!

Nice flat car park, not a lot of shade no bother overnight, road noise not to bad good for overnight stay.
