Height barrier not in operation. Walking along the shore is beautiful. Jet planes about as well as seals seen through binoculars. Don’t come nearer the shore until end of October. Is daytime parking only. Clear signs saying no overnighting.

Never seen the barrier down. Zero facilities but a great place to walk and blow your cobwebs away. The nature reserve lake walk, the dunes path and the bombing range are all worth seeing. Military use this a lot and are under active control when the red flag is flying. Check NOTAMS for reliable aircraft likelyhood of action.
