Schöner Ausblick und viel Platz. Die Straße ist hoch frequentiert, aber für eine Nacht kein Problem. Wir waren etwas überrascht, wie voll es sogar Mitte Oktober noch ist - hier stehen noch 6 weitere Wohnmobile. Aber da die Bucht sehr groß ist, haben alle ausreichend Platz.

Très beau spot, 1 étoile en moins car il manque une poubelle. On s’est juste arrêtés pour déjeuner, je ne sais pas si on peut y dormir

Very quiet place by the road. It was packed of campers but it was very nice and peaceful. The view makes you forget the road behind.

Wildstehen bedeutet nicht am Straßenrand zu stehen. Hier war es für ein paar Stunden über Nacht in Ordnung. Wir hatten diesen Abend keine andere Möglichkeit. Der kleine Steinstrand unterhalb holt einen mehr in die Natur. Wenn man da unten sitzt, hört man die Straße nicht und kann den Ausblick aufs Wasser genießen. Die Straße ist nachts recht ruhig. Der Mercedes gehört zum Imbisswagen.

Buono spot per la notte in riva al lago, visibile bel tramonto. Parcheggio affollato e un po' trafficato la notte.

A great scenic stop over. Very popular with passing cars to take in the view down on the pebble beach but quietens down at night. Close to road so passing traffic but again quieter as evening comes. Rangers check here to advise you of the rules. No bins so take rubbish with you and keep clean as this is one of the best ones not to be abused.

un très bel emplacement avec une petite plage au bord de l'eau. on peut y dormir même si la route est pas trop loin

Amazing views whatever the weather! Far enough off the road for it to be quiet and no van shaking. A small beach and apparently one of the best wild swimming spots in the UK. No bins so take everything with you!!

Great stop over with lovely views of the loch and mountains. Other campers were there and they were all quiet and considerate to each other. Minimum road noise with the duty Benny driving past at 5am blasting his horn.

Un lugar bonito y tranquilo, en una entrada de la carretera, quedando lo suficientemente alejado de ésta como para no haber ningún riesgo. Con espacio suficiente para unas 10 autocarvanas. Preciosas vistas del lago tanto desde arriba, como bajando por una pequeña pendiente andando. Hay un food truck q estaba cerrado cuando llegamos sobre 9pm y abrió esta mañana sobre las 9am. Dormimos genial!

Effectivement la vue est belle et il y a de la place mais la route est très passante jusqu'à 23h et à partir de 7h le matin. D'autre part 2 voitures ont klaxonné hier soir en continu en passant pour réveiller tout le monde vers 23h et minuit puis encore 1 ce matin ! Nous avons l'habitude de voyager. l'Écosse est magnifique mais nous ne nous sentons pas les bienvenus...

Fabulous parkup for a day visit or overnight...superb view over the Loch Lochy ...other Motorhomes parking too...next to a busy main road, so noisy during the day...

Absolutely beautiful spot. Traffic is a bit noisy until about 10 pm but then gets quieter. We got there around 6 when there were only two other campers. By the time we went to bed there were several more, filling all of the waterside spots. In the morning a food truck was setting up (we had assumed it was abandoned, but is functional). We didn’t try it as we were headed into Ft. William.

Perfetto per una notte, vista pazzesca, spesso si trovano altri van. Di notte a volte rumore delle macchina ma davvero poca roba.

Stopped here a few times, can hear road noise but it doesn’t bother me, lovely view of the loch and a lot of other campers use this spot too

Super spot, nous avons dormi une nuit en campervan. Calme, peu de passage la nuit. Petite plage le long du lac. En retrait de la route. Très bien

This is a nice spot, a bit of traffic noise but nothing to stop you sleeping. Lovely loch views and space for several vehicles

Great pull in for the night several vans & MH alongside us, quiet, no issues also did a litter pick as there are no bins .

Large lay-by just set back from the road slightly. Loads of room, right on the water. Butty van too but unsure when it’s open. Great place for a quick night if travelling but wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer.

Amazing views, burger bar was open earlier in the day, small waterfall opposite from the pitch up, lots of vehicles coming and going but no interference at all, would stay again.

Great place to stay overnight, safe in off the main A82, right beside the loch. Traffic noise dies down overnight, slept well. 15 other vehicles and 2 artic lorries overnight when we were there. Everyone respectful of space and noise, no issues.

Bon spot, lors de notre arrivée énormément de monde mais un routier sympa nous a bien conseillé pour que l'on s'installe safe. Proche de la route mais nous avons bien dormi.

Sehr schöner Platz, aber an viel befahrener Straße. Nachts ist der Lärm aber nicht zu hören.

Fab spot to stay for a night. Lovely loch (which we swam in) and plenty of room. Lots of tourist coaches stop during the day but quiet at night.

Direkt an der Straße und sehr laut ab 5 Uhr morgens mit komischem Geruch (Aas? Essig?…) Aber direkter Zugang zum See zum abkühlen der Füße etc. Für eine Nacht okay

bon endroit pour une pause goûter si on omet l'odeur de charogne (peut-être pas tous les jours?) et les trouvailles en 2 minutes sur la plage (lame de rasoir et couteau). pas forcément safe pour les enfants en plus de la route...

vue exceptionnelle en bordure de loch. proche de la route mais bruit raisonnable. pas de service mais uniquement un point de vue à couper le souffle.

Joli spot au bord d un lac et d une plage de cailloux. Assez frequenté surtout le matin par les touristes. Bruyant car à côté de la route. Pour une nuit c’est ok.

Stayed there for 1 Night because the next day i wanted to climb Ben nevis. There were already a lot of campers when i arrived at the evening and the road where quite early busy in the morning. But the view ist great and for free it was ok for 1 Night.

L’endroit nous a dépanné pour la nuit. Belle vue sur le lac mais spot juste à côté de la route, pas mal de passage dès tôt le matin (en même temps c’est la route qui mène vers Inverness et les Highlands donc normal…). Il y a au moins une bonne quinzaine de places. Nous sommes arrivés vers 20h30 et il y en avait encore quelques unes.

Ça dépanne pour la nuit. Il y a beaucoup de monde & c’est au bord de la route donc on entend quand même pas mal la circulation. Pas à plat. Mais très belle vue sur le lac !

Super Platz mit direktem Anschluss an See. Hat jedoch viele Leute, wenn man alleine sein will ist dieser Platz ungeeignet.

Absoluter Spitzenplatz, direkt am See, kostet nichts. und man hat sogar einen Kiesstrand, auf dem man grillen oder einfach nur chillen kann.

A great spot the views an amazing small amount of noise up to about 9 and morning traffic starts around 7. Food van there but not open.

Buen sitio, para pasar la noche solamente pues el tráfico de la mañana es intenso.

Lots of spaces on this site. There is a great view of the Loch and access to the water. Waterfall near one end which is noisy. Not too many vehicles coming past later on.

We thought this was good spot. The ground wasn’t too uneven, although not all areas were tarmac-ed. plenty of room for multiple vehicles. The view of loch is lovely in the morning and the loch side brasserie 5 mins down the road is perfect for a lovely dinner. And bacon and sausage baps arrives for you in the morning - what more could you want!

Great spot little beach food truck "Burger Queen" does a moreish Coffee @ £2 had 3 in a row.. Even had an F35 and an F15 flyby low level..brilliant stay. 1 star off for the road noise, but hey what du expect for a Free stopover.. loved it ❤️

Was quite a busy stop. The pull in was a bit further away from the road than some others, although road noise was slightly annoying. Being right on the loch was great, and a food truck to fulfil those breakfast cravings !

Super spot, une vue incroyable et accès en contre bas à une petite plage de galets. À côté de la rue donc peut être bruyant le soir et parking complet au mois d’août.

Great location for an overnight stay. Nice views, little walk down onto a beach. Does get busy and you can hear road traffic but it's set back off the road enough that it doesn't disturb sleep. OK 4g signal. No bins

Grande aire le long de la route, très fréquentée. Superbe vue sur le loch avec un accès à la petite plage. Propriétaires des food trucks assez véhéments contre les camping-caristes a notre passage.

Gute Übernachtungsmöglichkeit für autarke Wohnmobile. Es handelt sich um einen Rastplatz an der Straße, an dem zeitweise ein Imbisswagen geöffnet hat. Wenn man rechtzeitig da ist, kann man in erster Reihe mit wunderschönem Ausblick stehen. Der Straßenlärm hat uns nicht gestört, nachts war es ruhig.

Prachtig uitzicht en ruim voldoende plek voor meerder campers.

Really good park up....plenty of space.. we were there with 5 or 6 other vans....spectacular views....and a choice of 2 food vans ...no facilities bit that didn't matter. Lack of bins noticeable so be sure to leave no mess

Platz ist ok, leider direkt an der Straße. Autos stören da nicht, die Motorräder sind abersehr laut und ich denke ich wäre in Assen !

Fabulous park up right next to the Lock. Maybe space for 10 to 13 vans depending on size.

Great overnight spot with lots and lots of space for a couple of campervans and cars. Parked right on the side with a view of the loch. Is near the main road but gets quiet around 10pm. Even went for a cold morning swim

Great spot! 6other vans, 1 car and an HGV here, with space for more. Really handy to have this on route to Skye, as all the other places I’ve passed on the way from Kintyre have been small and right next to the road.

Amazing parking parallel to the road (pretty busy) next to a lake and beautiful hills. Relatively flat. Food truck onsite (closed when I visited though). Good cellphone reception. Very happy with my stay!

I'll only use this spot for a rest during the day now.A real shame.. It's becoming all too common to have other motorhomes/vans, parking within inches of ours, no respect for personal space. not nice to wake up and feel completely pinned in. use your heads people, leave some space for others. If it's busy, find somewhere else, there's plenty of room for all, in this beautiful country!

Lovely stop when some of the others were snowed in (December). The food truck runs in season… not abandoned. Perfect spot… if a bit exposed to the weather. Great cell data speeds! (EE)

Wild night of winds and rain adding to atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Fantastic view. A few other campervans/ motorhomes. Saturday night, rain & wind drowned out most traffic noise though road pretty quite by eleven. Take your rubbish away with you.

Free parking, road noise until about 10pm but after that became quieter. The space filled up by about 6.30pm, i’m glad we didn’t leave it any longer.

Stopped here on route to Ullapool , wow what a perfect parking spot , reckon it would be great on a night

Perfecto para una noche, con vistas y acceso al lago. A primera hora de la mañana hay algo de ruido por la carretara. Por la tarde hay que tener algo de cuidado con los midges del lago! No hay basura ni baños disponibles.

è una decente sosta notturna gratuita. in GB non ce ne sono molte.

Endroit sympa pour une nuit, très belle vue sur le lac, petite plage en contrebas. La nuit est calme, pas de circulation sur la route, 4G disponible.

Brilliant spot to wildcamp, close to the loch just take your time getting down to the water. Away from the road so didn’t hear the traffic, bonus was a butty van coming in the morning!

Nice pit stop for lunch. Big lay-by with nice view of the loch and down on to a little beach. No facilities, on a busy road. Shame about the dumped van and catering van, but face away from it and it’s ok.

Prima slaapplaats voor de nacht door te brengen. Veel verkeer, maar ‘s nachts hadden we hier geen last van. Het uitzicht over het meer en de bergen was fantastisch. Er stonden nog andere campers, wat wij alleen maar leuk vonden.

We had a great rest, the noise if the road was unnoticeable for us and we had a great surprise when we opened the blinds in the morning. The only downs for this place are the two abandoned vans and the litter at the side of the lake.

Had a relaxing night in this free loch-side park-up. The road noise was persistent throughout the night but tolerable considering it is a free park-up. Arrived in the dark, one other van there (except for closed food van and blue smashed van). Got parked overlooking loch on seemingly the only almost level ground (extreme right). Would stay again on way to/from Skye/highlands.

Nice place to stay next to the Loch. Road was very noisy until around 10:30 but then got quieter. 3 other vans here one which had a generator going but didn’t bother us during the night.

AMAZING VIEWS. Brilliant park, fantastic new facilities,toilets & showers immaculate. A very welcomed roasting shower. Also have baby change table which I’ve not seen anywhere else, £18 per night with Electruc hook up. Also ice cream van came round at 8:30 lovely welcomed surprise…

Beautiful beautiful spot for a stop off lunch with a lake view! We only stayed for an hour or so but it seems you can park overnight for free. Right on the loch and so beautiful!

Next to main road, to lots of space and access to beach. stayed here 2 separate night's and went boating on the lock. road can be noisy. 2 hotels ten minutes walk in either direction if you want food

Beautiful spot. Flat. Good phone signal. Very quiet at night. Traffic noise in the morning starts at about 7:30. It’s not too intrusive but was enough to wake me up.

Great views, safely away from the main road however it is still noisy late evening and early morning. Plenty of space for other campers, also used by lorries.

fantastic views parking for loads of campers when we was there it was full but still quiet waterfall on otherside of road is fantastic to see and the noise of it great place will stay here again recommended stop off . only 1 thing wrong camper broke down had it transported back home next day end of holliday

Very close to the road so noisy during the day and intermittently during the night. Car horns at night. No rubbish bins or any other services. Lovely view. Some flat areas.

Close to the road, but very quiet at night. We were alone, the children made a campfire on the lakeshore and had marshmellows...

On the lake shore, close to the road (not too noisy at night, the wind covers the sound of the cars anyway) lots of vans and campers. no facilities but perfect for a night.
