Stayed further up the hill on a hard standing (with one hell of view) in a campervan, not by the stream advertised. Looks to also be a huge field for vans and tents up here with a tap and a compost toilet. Great access to the moors and nearby Wistmans Woods, which I highly recommend exploring!!
Wir waren heute bei Vollmond hier, ein wunderschöner, magischer Ort mitten im Dartmoor mit toller Aussicht. Die Zufahrt ist nicht ohne, viele Schlaglöcher, teils schmal und steil. Man steht auf einer Wiese mit genügend Abstand zu anderen Campern und ohne jeglichen Service. Feuerschalen gibt es hier auch. Die Buchung über die Homepage ist einfach. Insgesamt zu empfehlen!
Beautiful spot in the middle of Dartmoor, I had the place to myself. Can imagine it getting a bit squidgy in wetter months but relatively flat. Gorgeous views, in a field with sheep and cattle. Route to motorhome spot is a bit dodgy, narrow uphill and potholey, can imagine it would be a struggle for anything bigger than a small van.
A basic site, IE bring your own bog. But that's the charm. Back to basics self contained camping. Gorgeous location, in the heart of Dartmoor. Cheap! £10per night, via honesty box.
Die Zufahrt ist nicht ohne. Wir waren mit einem Kastenwagen 6,4 Meter lang dort. Das Fahrzeug sollte auch nicht zu tief sein.Für längere Fahrzeuge ist das obere Tor besser um auf die Wiese zu kommen. Aber Achtung,gleich nach der Einfahrt sind Steine und Unebenheiten die man beachten sollte. Wenn man es dann aber geschafft hat, ist es einfach wunderschön und total unkompliziert.Bezahlung Honestybox
J'y suis passé et suis reparti car difficile d'accès et pas vraiment fait pour les camping-cars; pour les vans peut-être et encore mais en tout cas pas pour les plus de 6 m. Mais c'est le moins cher du coin avec 10 livres annoncées ; où j'ai trouvé au Plume of Feathers à Princetown c'est 15 livres pour 1 personne + 10 par personne suppl.

This place is stunning! We parked at the bottom just before the little bridge at the stream (see in photos). Walked up the hill to pay the farmer £10 - he said anywhere is fine as long as they can get through with their vehicles/tractors. There is a big parking place at the top at the farm too to park where other campervans were parked. footpaths directly from here to moors- amazing.

Prachtig plekje voor wie van wild kamperen houdt. De weg er naar de farm is steil en hobbelig maar laat je niet afschrikken. Rij tot voorbij de farm tot aan het hek. Verwittig de eigenaars. Open het hek en rij naar boven. Je staat er prachtig bij een beekje in een wei. 10 pond. Vanaf daar kan je rechtstreeks in de Moore wandelen.

Toller, ruhiger Stellplatz mitten auf einer Kuhweide. Anfahrt im VW Crafter problemlos und trotz Regen war das Feld mit etwas Erfahrung gut befahrbar ohne stecken zu bleiben. Plumpsklo vorhanden. 10£/Van per Night.
Great place to stay in Dartmoor. The lower site at the river is only for tents but very beautiful. The upper site is a large field. Its more exposed but you have a beautiful view over the sourrounding moor. There is water and a toilet available. Easy and fast communication!
Heel hobbelige weg met veel gaten naar de “camping” toe. Best steil omhoog, sterke motor is fijn. Waterpunt bij poort met drinkwater. Staat ook een blauwe ton die dienst doet als brievenbus waar je het geld in kan doen (£2,50 pp). De grond waar je mag kamperen is prachtig gelegen maar erg grote kans op vastzitten. Zelfs met dagen lang geen regen. Level staan kan bijna niet.
Un endroit vraiment merveilleux! A l’abri du vent la rivière à côté avec cette magnifique forêt. 2.50Ghb seulement !! Attention si vous venez en hiver avec un van vous pouvez rester coincé dans la boue comme moi ? mais heureusement le gentil fermier m’a aidé à sortir du champs ahah
