Good place to park for access to Loweswater and surrounding hikes. No overnight stays!

VanTourer_202015/05/2025Schöner Platz in wundervoller Landschaft. Der Platz direkt rechts neben der Zufahrt zu Brücke ist ziemlich gerade. Die andere Plätze sind etwas schräg. EE-Netz ist gut, O2 ausreichend.

Photos look nothing like it at all, it’s tiny and hardly any level spots, there is zero signal on phones or wifi :/

very quiet a night, overnight parking allowed. room for about 8 vehicles. gets busy in the morning with walkers. would recommend as quiet at night, 5 mins walk from loweswater and 5 mins from kirkstile inn a great pub for food and drink.

Very difficult to get to, uneven surfaces and definitely not for larger motorhomes, even our van was a squeeze to get here! Trees were whipping the van sides on the approach! We moved on.

Quiet overnighter, o3/09/2022. No bins, or facilities. Fairly level location, well away from the road. Great Pub/Inn, 200 meters! Did get busy from 08.00!

Still a great little spot to stay, quiet and although busy during the day it's just you and the wildlife at night. Narrow winding approach, so take care on the descent. Great views and lovely walks as well as close to the local hotel/pub!
