dont pay if you park up after 6pm as they do not come around till 8am ( from the council themselves) nice location but on a busy night large vans may struggle ! very tight roads around the area so beware ! good stop over quiet after 11pm when everyone has gone !
Très pratique pour passer la nuit avant d'embarquer à Douvres. Magnifique petit village. Très calme après 23h. Par contre, très compliqué pour payer par carte bancaire. Il n'y a qu'une des 2 bornes de paiement qui accepte la carte et on on a fait une dizaine de tentatives pour réussir à payer en appuyant sur différents boutons! On a payé 13£ pour la nuit et 3,60£ en plus pour rester jusqu'à 10h
30/7/24 Perfect stop over. £13 for 14 hours, although paying the charge was a pain in the bum. Card payment not working, we had to get change, meter’s wouldn’t accept coins….. Ringo thinks my motorhome is a car and won’t accept my telling them differently. We managed a card payment on the 5th go. We parked at the back alongside another van. Perfectly quite night on a pretty quay.
Lovely stopover in the centre of Sandwich, central to everything. We paid £9.90 for 10 hours on Ringo and got 24 hrs, result! Park at the back of the car park outside the marked bays. Well worth a visit, lots of pubs and and eateries and chilled atmosphere.
Absolutely loved our stay in Sandwich. it is a very quiet, friendly town. We stayed a few hours longer than our £11 overnight charge allowed us, and paid the extra charge, because we loved it so much. If you're a golf nut, don't miss the walk out to Royal St George's golf course, as you walk right through it twice, including the iconic 1st and 18th holes.
£11 for the night (6pm - 8am) for a camper van. Toilet block in car park (9am-5pm) and a shower (£4 for 20 mins). Right next to a park and a footpath along the river. Right in the town centre but very quiet. Would recommend.
£11 overnight charge. Located on the Quay with a toilet and shower block 100m away. Shower is £4 for 20mins usage, toilets are free for the moment (Sept 2023). Generally quiet, however be aware of the many events that Sandwich hold during the sunny months. A good choice of food available within 200m and more available in Sandwich.
A fabulous stopover right in the centre of Sandwich which was beautiful. The park area was great to play games with the kids and also sit and enjoy the sun/view with food and drink. You are spoilt for choice with all the restaurants and bars and the locals are so polite. £10.00 overnight but best to pay at the machine, cash only so you can select motorhome as the app doesn't allow you too.
Pay after 6pm for overnight only - to pay by card use machine nearest the bridge. It won’t let you pay overnight before then. Quiet night and nice walk around the village and up the river. 35 mins to tunnel.

Right in the town. It's Quirky and old so nice walk around the place. 11 pound the night. Only gave it 4 stars because you have to pay for the toilet.

this is a nice spot for any large motorhomes, but it is the only carpark in the town that you need to pay an additional fee (£9) to park overnight. there is public toilets at this car park as well as showers. if you are in a smaller campervan you can park in the guildhall carpark without issue and just pay the £9 for 24hrs without any overnight fee. the guildhall car park also has public toilets
Parking permettant de visiter la sympathique ville de sandwich mais pas toujours la place pour y garer un camping-car… nous avons réussi à trouver une place en revenant 15min après (nous prenons 2 places au vu de la taille de notre camping-car)

Lovely little town and nice walk along river.
Wonderful spot for a very quiet overnight stay. No restrictions and as below park to the far right of the car park as being a 7.2m long motorhome we overhang the spaces. Not really suitable for anything much longer as quite a busy car park with locals I presume even at night. A lovely little town with lovely walks and some fab pubs and restaurants. Charges 9am-6pm.
Great spot, awesome town and a quiet nights sleep at the rear end of the carpark. WCs out of order.
Great spot. had a chat with the parking attendant this morning who has no problem with us being here. regulation say parking must be 'within marked spaces'. so use the area with concrete rather than tarmac where spaces are not so clearly marked out.
On saturday not so quiet as expected, as some young britons with loud music in their cars had fun parking beside some motor homes. toilets / showers open 10:00 - 16:00
Park at the back of the car park by The Cafe as it's next to a nice, quiet wooded area. The part by the moorings may get a little rowdy at night judging by all the litter strewn everywhere in the morning. The public toilets are clean and tidy and attended by a friendly Lady. 40p to use the toilet, and £4 for a shower. £2 to empty a cassette.
Great location for a short stay
Great Parking 24h for 6£ or 5pm to 9 am is free. Last row is good for campers. You can shower and empty your toilet for a few pounds. Very quite during night and the medieval town ist definitely worth a stroll!
Great stop at the end of the car park spaces on grass/concrete surface. Right by the old quay and easy for town. Nothing like as urban as I thought it would be.
