This is the official Dover Castle car park. Run by English Heritage, a Castle ticket must be purchased to park here. Parking is free for English Heritage members. Parking is permitted during opening hours for mobile homes and cars. Overnight stays are not allowed.
Es handelt sich hierbei um den offiziellen Parkplatz vom Dover Castle. Geführt von English Heritage, es muss ein Ticket für das Schloss erworben werden um hier zu parken. Für English Heritage Mitglieder ist das parken kostenlos. Das parken ist während der Öffnungszeiten für Wohnmobile und Autos gestattet. Übernachten ist nicht erlaubt.

Hit or miss if you will be allowed entry depending on how busy they are expecting it to be . We were there at 10:15 on a BH Sunday and the nice girl on the gate checked . They allowed us as we were early . We are in an Adria Coral 7.4 m long by 2.9m high and fit under the bridge entry to the car park . Shame motorhomes are treated this way by English Heritage but the staff on the ground are nice.
aujourd'hui la personne a l'entrée ne laissait rentrer aucun camping-car, pourtant le nôtre ne fait que 5,5m. direction parking over flow de l'autre côté du château (gratuit)
our 6.5m x 3m x 3m Bavaria fit just fine. Yes, the bridge is exactly 3m wide but it wasn't really a concern, and the arch at the end of the bridge is way more than 3m tall. also, this parking lot is plenty large for us, and there is already someone else in their campervan here. don't be scared of it, but just drive it carefully and you'll be fine. get here early and spend the day.
the attendant we spoke to wasn't aware of a length restriction, but the entrance to the bridge may be tight for a long vehicle.
Nous sommes montés sans problème avec un Fiat Ducato. En effet le passage du pont avec rails en métal au sol et le tunnel est critique mais ça passe ! Grand parking en haut, gratuit avec l’entrée du château.
Not suitable for motorhomes, we are only 6 meters and they turned us around.
Furchtbare Durchfahrt zum Parkplatz!!! Kam mit 3,10m hohen Alkoven-Wohnmobil durch das runde Tor, obwohl 3,0m angegeben war, aber ... die davor liegende Brücke ist mit einem Fiat-Ducato-Unterbau nicht ohne Reifenschleifen an den Schienenbegrenzungen zu meistern! Habe so etwas noch nie gesehen! Die Fahrspur auf der Brücke ist verengt und durch eingelassene Metallschienen am Boden begrenzt.
Grosser Parkplatz auch für Wohnmobile geeignet.
