Nice spot. Good in a pinch if you need somewhere to park up for the night. Vehicles speeding past can cause the van to sway a little. Theres enough space to fit comfortably and there’s always likeminded van lifers there and a quiet little park round the corner and a shop not too far. 15 min walk to Southend town.
Loads of spaces, no signs stating any restrictions, slightly sloped. I stopped here for a football away day at Southend United - their ground is just around the corner so ideal for that. Road has large vehicles going down it at regular intervals through the night. It's a 30mph road but it certainly felt and sounded like many were driving faster than that as the van was shaken side to side.
Free parking on long road in a dedicated parking lane without length restriction. It is however a very busy road, particularly Mon/Fri, on a local bus route. Speeding vehicles, double decker buses and emergency vehicles made our motorhome shake as they passed even with the cycle path creating a distance between the live lane and the parking lane. Approx 15/20 minute walk into Southend-on-Sea.
