Pulled in for the night after the great recommendations for this place and it now costs £15 a night to stay. Spoke to a chap from a couple of doors down and he said the cafe shut at Christmas time and the bike repair shop closed late last year. Still has the pods to rent and a lovely place just a shame the cafe is closed as I was looking forwards to a great breakfast.

  • 5/5

Didn’t sleep the night but stopped for lunch and refilled the water which was the main reason for coming here. Staff really friendly and food was tasty!

  • 5/5

Very nice and quiet overnight place. We arrived around 8pm when it was all closed. We did go for breakfast in the morning. all fresh made and tasty! Toilets not working because people keep vandalize them. Please respect places like this!!!!

  • 5/5

Toller ruhiger Platz mit sehr netten Betreibern. Gastronomie mit Frühstück und Kaffee ist klasse! Sind 2 Nächte geblieben und können es sehr gut weiterempfehlen!

  • 5/5

Verbrachten 1 Nacht hier. Sehr schöner Platz for free. Im Café wird Frühstück angeboten, was wir natürlich wahrgenommen hatten.

  • 5/5

Not so hidden, Jem. It is a lovely cafe with great friendly staff and good food. Please support this great place. Overnight park up with water and black waste disposal. We will be back for sure. Thank you.

  • 5/5

Stayed 1 night parking on the gravel section. Did drive on the grass but was worried about sinking! Had a coffee and tea cake at 9 before heading out for a cycle. Ordered my lunch before I left and was ready quickly on my return. Super friendly. Will certainly return.

  • 5/5

For a free park up with water, bins, chemical toilet disposal (not sure about grey) plus toilet and shower (heater wasn't on for our stay), this is a wonderful resting spot. Spent 1 very peaceful night. Nice big field for dogs. Water tap is near the entrance to the cafe. Another large walking area on the right just down the road. Purchase something yummy from the onsite cafe. Fantastic park up!

  • 5/5

Fab place to stay. We stayed in main car park as grassed areas were very wet and soft due to winter conditions. Owner and staff very welcoming and helpful. No charge to stay. Water. WC. Shower. Elson point, bins all available FOC. They ask you to use the cafe on site as payment. Cafe is lovely and very reasonable. There are also pods on site for hire. This site is an absolute gem. Recommended.

  • 5/5

Brilliant place. Got here at 5:05pm in my Campervan. Walked the dogs around big field. Nowhere to eat after 5 so make sure you collect a pizza on the way!! There is a small toilet block in the middle of the field with cold water. Plan is to get it working soon (freezing cold water) but good enough for ablutions!! Had a sandwich and sausage for dogs next morning. Amazing bike shop

  • 5/5

Wow, wow, wow. Absolutely fantastic. Every thing you could want for a night or perhaps two and FREE. Yes you didn’t miss read that. FREE. Just support the fantastic cafe (and/or the fully stocked bike shop (they have a repair and service dept as well) and everyone’s happy. A real gem. I wholeheartedly recommend you come here. The motorhome/camper community could with more of these places.

  • 5/5

Great stop over as everyone says , thanks to the owners for letting Motorhomes stay . We had a breakfast in the morning . Very quiet night .

  • 4/5

Black water disposal not available. Seems like a nice place though.

  • 5/5

What a gem.. a beautiful place in the lovely village of Hawstead. Water...empty waste easily...smashing little cafe run by Beth and Grace...John looks after maintenance etc. they all love my dog, luna. As Arnold said....." I'll be back" .

  • 5/5

This! this is how it's done, I will absolutely be back to spend money here and visit the cafe, all staff I chatted too were fantastic, place is lovely and I bet it gets busy on sunny days, Support this gem of a place, it's got a big field to park in but being in a sprinter that doesn't like wet I parked on the gravely bit I will absolutely be back for the great cafe and the parkup makes this10/10

  • 5/5

huge field, toilet and fresh water available. cafe with plenty of options to eat and drink. free wifi. Lots of local cyclists stopping by all day long. great local walks

  • 5/5

We've been using this app for 3 years and this is by far the best place we've found! The owner is incredibly welcoming and went out of her way to make us feel at home. The location is beautiful with a garden and playground, and all they ask is to support their café. Their hospitality was so heartwarming, and we truly appreciate it!

  • 5/5

Fab spot. We arrived after the cafe had closed - didn’t ring ahead but we could still park up. Owners very welcoming next morning in cafe. We had a breakfast which was lovely. Brilliant place and we would definitely stay again. Someone did turn up whilst we were there- stayed and left early. Please be honest and eat in the cafe or make a donation

  • 5/5

Stayed here for 2 nights in our Motorhome , superb peaceful place , super friendly staff , Beth is a lovely lady that goes the extra mile , we did not book ahead, this place is an absolute gem , all they is ask is you use the cafe which is open 9am until 2pm .

  • 5/5

Stayed here for 2 nights. Fabulous peaceful place with lovely staff. It’s a shame people sometimes take advantage of their generosity and don’t use the cafe while staying or leave a donation if cafe is closed.

  • 5/5

Geweldige plek. Veel ruimte. Heel gezellig fietscafé.

  • 5/5

Such a lovely stop ,we just came for the day but will definitely be looking at staying, lovely couple who run it are so friendly, great cafe and great gluten free choices, great peaceful space even for a short break. Well done to you both and your team .

  • 5/5

We’ve had about 3+ years of motorhoming and using park4night and both agreed this is one of the best (if not the best) spot we’ve stayed so far! We stayed for 1 night, so quiet and peaceful and the surroundings were lovely. The couple who run it are 2 of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet, and please support the free stopover by buying coffee and breakfast in the cafe (both we rated 12/10)!:)

  • 5/5

An absolute epic find. Fabulous friendly welcome in a rural and tranquil location. All services available. Lovely Café and cycling shop on site. Can’t rate this place high enough. Thank you..we will definitely return!

  • 5/5

Attractive and peaceful location. Enjoyed breakfast and chat in the café - and appreciated the cycling ambience with a collection of bikes on display. Treated myself to a new cycle helmet before leaving!

  • 5/5

Absolut ruhige Lage und morgens ein Super Frühstück mit netten Menschen. Was will man mehr?

  • 5/5

We had a great night's stay; very peaceful, in a rural setting. The gavelled area is not completely flat (ramps definitely helped), but it didn't spoil our stay. We had coffee/light breakfast before heading off. As a Coeliac, it was great to see so many Gluten Free options on offer! We didn't make use of all services available, but will add to our favourites for a return stay in the future!

  • 4/5

Lovely peaceful area with countryside views. Toilets only available when cafe is open from 9am to 2pm. There is a dumping point but the tap wasn't working at the time we were there to be able to flush the thetford cassette. Village green/playground just up the round. Grocery store about 10/15 min drive away as well as Green King pub. Drinking water available

  • 5/5

Stayed here last night. Our first trip with our brand new Motorhome. Fresh drinking water was available, even though the cafe was closed. Just parked up around the back on their field, with a few others already there. Went to cafe in morning and had an enormous breakfast which we thought was good value as they don’t charge for you to stay overnight. Very good for an overnight stop.

  • 5/5

Had a great stop over here, they're very welcoming Very quiet night odd car passing but not close enough to disturb you Signal in the van is useable on EE.. But for three/iD it struggles but OK outside the van Ground is fine bit uneven, Theres fresh water available, but no toilets outside of the shop hours This was our first motorhome stop and glad Maglia Rosso popped our motorhome cherry :)

  • 5/5

Stayed a night and had coffee and breakfast in the morning, both were lovely. No charge to stay but would’ve happily paid for the night. Very peaceful, no noise from the road. Please support this lovely place by buying something from the cafe before you leave.

  • 5/5

Nice quiet place, call ahead and there's no problem with you staying as long as you make a purchase in the cafe (which has good coffee and good breakfasts). connectivity isn't great but the cafe will let you use Thier wifi

  • 5/5

Fantastic place here. Brilliant nights sleep, nice and quiet. Plenty of space for the dog to run. Bought a breakfast in the cafe which was pricey. Would recommend!! Car park is big enough for 20+ vans. There is also a fresh water tap outside so you can fill up with water. You can also dispose of waste water here too.

  • 5/5

We spent a quiet night here, had two meals in the café, where the menu contains vegetarian options. The motorhome parking area is on a slight slope, behind some trees which provided shelter from the wind. Great site, we will be returning. Many thanks to Maglia Rosso!

  • 5/5

Wonderful place! Everything is free! We stayed 2 nights and had an excellent breakfast! Thanks a lot to Maglia Rosso!!!

  • 5/5

Excellent Breakfast, 2 Campers left without even buying a coffee in the morning, The sites free and the coffee is excellent, Don't abuse the hospitality

  • 5/5

fantastisch!!! uurtje vanaf Harwich, lekker in het groen, echt Engels ontbijt :-)

  • 5/5

This place is undoubtably the best spot we’ve stayed at for free. A Friday night in the summer hols and we are the only van here. As is right we will be be breakfasting in the cafe tomorrow morning. Thanks so much Maglia Rosso!

  • 5/5

Excellent place to stop in the Suffolk countryside, within easy access of Bury St Edmunds. Very quiet night. Lots of space. We needed our ramps. Great breakfast at a good price. The cafe expect you to have breakfast, but that's only polite and courteous.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Gd cafe great situated in the country, big fields and trees wild animals. Very tranquil, parking is level. Great place for family. They also have plays, theatre, vintage car shows weekends. walking cycling routes play ground ducks etc, 10 mins to town centre.

  • 5/5

Very good park up, hard standing available. Lovely and peaceful with a great coffee shop. Be careful turning through the gate if heading from Bury St Edmunds as I caught the wheel arch of our 6 m Moho on the way in!

  • 5/5

Lovely friendly folk, free overnight stay if you use the cafe. Breakfast was wonderful, and a perfect exchange for the parking spot. Very quiet, almost level (we needed one chock…) and a fun little playground for the children to play on. Loads of grass for dogs. In summary, this is possibly the best spot we’ve found for an overnighter.

  • 5/5

Stayed here last weekend. Such friendly people. Lovely quiet location. It’s a great place for walks and a great cycle location with fabulous breakfasts and the cakes are amazing! Cycling shop is on-site and stocked well. Thanks to Matt for making us so welcome !

  • 5/5

nice quiet location, gravel hardstanding with no facilities unless cafe is open. All they ask is you use the cafe. Excellent location to cycle from.

  • 5/5

Very welcoming, turned up late, plenty of space and extremely peaceful so had a great nights sleep. Had breakfast in the cafe, loved the proper mugs of tea. Lovely food and cater for vegan/ veggie, even offering g advice about local tourist areas. Will definitely return… with our bikes next time.

  • 5/5

Perfect and incredible. Lovely views and we felt incredibly safe here. A really chill atmosphere, our dogs loved the field to run around as well. We had a sausage BAP and a coffee in the Caffe which was really nice, there was loads of vegan veggie alternatives. I feel that this may become a regular get away for us.

  • 5/5

Stayed last night whilst touring , lovely overnight spot, peaceful idyllic and quiet, friendly reception in the morning from the owners. Enjoyed breakfast and coffee in the morning. Would definitely use again if in area Thanks

  • 5/5

Large field with plenty of space to choose a level pitch. Great site if you are independent however, there are toilets available when the cafe is open. We had 2 meals in the cafe and the full breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

  • 5/5

What a lovely Motorhome stopover. Very friendly with yummy food. I recommend the breakfast, and the cakes looked divine! It is very rural, so I found mobile data slow but worth it to see the hares dashing about at the top of the field. Bike hire available too. If coming from Bury would recommend turning to the stopover at Low Green which is a better road for Motorhomes.

  • 5/5

Great stopover, in peaceful location, where we stayed two nights. Friendly staff. Cycle sales and servicing. Great cafe, where we had lovely freshly cooked breakfast on both mornings. Lunches and delicious homemade cakes available daily. Toilets, when cafe open, rubbish and recycling disposal, and accessible drinking water tap also available. Thank you Maglia Rosso! Please support …

  • 5/5

Great place super friendly staff in cafe great, not the most level but that would be nit picking. Having their breakfast as we speak we are in a 8m A class so entrance needs to be navigated carefully but again staff came out to help highly recommend for a stopover

  • 5/5

Family with 2 kids under 10 years in a 25ft rig. lovely place to stay, small cafe on site food was really good, large parking area not level but good for 1 night. Staff were nice and polite. We rang ahead first and were made very welcome on arrival. only downside was although its a cycle centre and has cycle routes they are all on road and not ideal for children.

  • 5/5

A lovely, quiet spot to the spend the night, followed by an excellent cooked breakfast in the morning. There is a drinking water tap outside the cafe which proved very useful too!

  • 5/5

Beautiful tranquil setting. Although no facilities as such, the cafe opens at 9am with a great selection of homemade food. i highly recommend the veggie breakfast at £6.50 for double sausage, double eggs, beans, mushrooms, saute potatoes and unlimited toast.

  • 5/5

Turned up late and had a quiet night. Had a lovely breakfast in the cafe in the morning. Some gorgeous cakes on offer too but too full to have any.

  • 5/5

Lovely stopover. Quiet, peaceful and very welcoming. Had a nice breakfast in the cafe.

  • 5/5

Stayed 1 night, arrived after 6pm, after closing. Parked in main carpark. Very quiet, perfect park up. Breakfast at coffee shop in the morning. Lovely location, picnic benches, children playground, tap for drinking water on main building.

  • 5/5

Wonderful place! a warm welcome and very peaceful with lovely views, pheasants and bunnies all around you. Parts of the parking area are quite sloping so we had to use wedges but we spent 2 lovely nights here, using the cafe for breakfast and coffees.

  • 5/5

Fantastic quiet spot outside Bury St Edmonds. Andy was really helpful and we had a lovely lunch there. Will definitely be back!

  • 5/5

Rang ahead and we were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Parking is behind the cafe with lovely views. We used the cafe in the morning for breakfast. Very peaceful and safe

  • 5/5

Brilliant place for a night. On our way to Dover, we rang ahead and spoke to helpful Andy. There is a cafe next to the bike shop, and a play park. Had cakes, coffees and kids drinks - and an excellent night's sleep. Quiet, safe, scenic, with walks (and cycle hire).
