Das Übernachten auf dem Parkplatz nach dem Essen war ohne Probleme möglich. Die Umgebung ist sehr leise. In der Nacht war es leider etwas hell, da einige Laternen eingeschaltet blieben, es war aber kein großes Problem. Mit uns standen noch 5 weitere Camper auf dem Parkplatz. Das Essen im Pub war in Ordnung.
Op de parkeerplaats bij the Old Colliery is het prima vertoeven. Bus 33 om de hoek om naar het centrum van Edinburgh te gaan en ‘s avonds prima eten in deze pub.
Haben hier etwas gegessen und durften dann eine Nacht auf dem Parkplatz schlafen, durften auch noch am nächsten Tag die Toiletten benutzen, hätten auch noch eine Nacht da schlafen dürfen, die Leute hier sind unheimlich freundlich, Danke dafür :)
Toller Stellplatz. Ohne Service dafür aber ruhig und eben. Wir haben hier 2 Nächte verbracht um Edinburgh zu besuchen. In 3 minuten erreicht man eine Bushaltestelle. Hier einfach die Linie 33 nehmen und bequem zur Hauptstadt fahren. Aussteigen an der Princess street. P.S. Wir haben gut gegessen im Old Colliery Pub
Parfait, plutôt calme. Stationner bien sur une place ou celle à débordement pour laisser de la place aux autres clients. Nous avons joué le jeu, boisson et nourriture au pub, très bien. 2 nuits sur place. 40 min de bus du centre avec le 33 dans le parking relais. 2£20 la place.
Super nice pub. Very dog and Kids friendly, they even got a dog-Menu. You can stay even a couple days weile exploriert the City. Bus and Train in walking distance.
Good location to visit the city and also have a good meal afterwards. As bonus, you can stay the night. Very friendly staff in the pub
Thank you to The Old Colliery for a free night's stopover and a good meal in the pub with a friendly welcome. Park & Ride to Edinburgh just across road, takes about 35mins on bus no 33 to Princes Street opposite M&S. We will be back.
Ce n'est pas une ferme,mais un parking proche d'un pub qui accepte les vans pour la nuit moyennant consos. Toilettes du pub sans poubelles 5 emplacements.
Der Stellplatz war schön. Das Restaurant ist Teil einer Kette und entsprechend einfach ganz nett, nichts besonderes, britische Küche. Auf dem Parkplatz ist Platz für ca. 20 Leute. Es war sehr ruhig und entspannt. Wir standen mit ca. 8 anderen Campern. Parkplatz ist asphaltiert und eben.
Super Platz zum übernachten, für das kostenlose stehen sollte man einen trink oder essen gehen. Mit dem Bus sind es ca 35 Minuten in die Stadt rein. Standen 2 ruhige Nächte hier.
Yes, it‘s only a parking but it‘s so close to the city and it‘s for free. If you are hungry, go inside or have a drink. As a thank you.
Great because it's a free spot to explore Edinburgh (30 min by bike, also reachable by bus) - but not the prettiest location and there were some tuning cars doing donuts until late in the evening.
Sehr ruhiger Parkplatz in einer Art Gewerbegebiet gelegen. Man kann hier (Stand September 2024) gut und ungestört schlafen.
We got stuck in the carpark with an overheating issue with our camper van, the manager was so kind and said we can stay as long as we needed to get it fixed. We ate at the pub every night and was delicious every time. Many other camper-vans stayed as well overnight. Bus stop is a 5 minute walk that takes 45-60 mins to get to city centre.
02/09/24 as per previous reviews we parked on the edge of the pub car park ,when we spoke to the manager he was so pleasant and friendly he confirmed we could park we asked if we could do breakfast but they do not do them opening 1130am, we ordered drinks and food the food was amazing catered for my gluten free partner, car park is nice and level tarmac, highly recommended
Geweldig! wat een lieve mensen hier bij de Pub. ze hebben zelfs pamfletten om duidelijk en gemakkelijk met de bus naar Edinburgh te gaan. savonds in de Pub gegeten, heerlijk eten. ik mocht tot sluiting rond 9 uur van de toiletten gebruik maken en mijn waterflessen gratis aanvullen. super dog-friendly, hondje Pip kreeg vele knuffels en koekjes.
Lugar gratuito y tranquilo donde te sueles encontrar con otras caravanas para pernoctar, el restaurante abre muy tarde por la mañana. Pero el resto todo muy bien.
Klasse das man hier kostenlos stehen darf. Wasser kann man auf Nachfrage hinter dem Restaurant bekommen. Wir waren auch hier essen. Wir fanden das Essen nicht herausragend, aber wir waren satt und schlechter essen kann man definitiv. Preis fürs Essen ist auch angemessen.
great place, safe and flat. there are bins. the staff are very helpful and friendly. great food. and close to bus or cycle to Edinburgh. fresh water and toilets are available. dog friendly. we would stop here again. Thanks
Der Platz ist absolut zu empfehlen. Man steht hier sicher und ruhig und kann entspannt mit dem Bus nach Edinburgh fahren. Bitte im Old Colliery Bescheid sagen, dass ihr mit dem Wohnmobil übernachten möchtet. Sehr freundliches Personal. Bitte als Dankeschön für die Übernachtung im Pub essen gehen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker.

Prima deal, een gratis rustige overnachting op een nette parkeerplaars in ruil voor een lekker hapje eten bij The Old Colliery. Er is zelfs een hondenbuffet! Er zijn geen voorzieningen. Zou fijn zijn als er een afvalbak zou staan.
Good park up for Edinburgh,park &ride just across from it.Food was the standard pub franchise food but was good with good portion sizes, staff and manager were great,very welcoming and knowledgeable/helpful.Use of the toilets during opening times.A bit of road noise from main road going to the bypass and seems to attract the odd Muppet revving and doing donuts round the other carparks/roundabout
Very friendly and obliging staff. Ideal spaces for camper van and motor homes around the top edge of the car park. Nice food and despite being a couple of minutes from the city bypass it was very quiet
Brilliant little spot. Parking is free and can stay overnight if you buy your dinner in the pub. Owners are really friendly and welcoming. Food in the pub is great too, have different deals on all week.
