Large open hard standing. There are no services on here. supermarket and fast food shops within a mile. The car park is used by the
local horse stables but not very often. Just an update on this parking area. There cars parked on it at the moment, they belong to the military personnel in the near by army camps. there is still plenty of space to park up, the area is very quiet.

large car park lots of empty space looks like used by military. No noise at all during our one night stay, good for a quick overnight stay. lots of rubbish and old tyres around edges, too much to pick up and tidy. Evidence in gravel of cars spinning, but nothing while we were there.
5 Stars for effectiveness! Beautiful vistas and charm it is not but if you want a decent fairly quiet location this is decent! It’s where the trainee soldiers park as an overflow - few vanlifers each night. If your in a camper toilets at the Tesco/pay public ones. Easy
large hardcored space. enough room for approximately 30 vans/motorhomes. only few cars there when we turned up about 3pm. few cars came and went with no concern. quiet from 11pm. lots of litter about. leave only footprints please.
Arrived late on a Saturday night, no cars in & out at all. Even though the road is quite near, we had a very peaceful night sleep. There are no facilities at all but a flat handstand and excellent for a stop over.
beauvoyp mieux : traversez la route, en face de ce grand parking pas très accueillant, il y a en contrebas de la route deux emplacements espaces de 50m, pour un camion : le cadre est bucolique et le long d un chemin réservé a l equitation. on ne nous voit pas de la route, calme et discrétion...
Very average car park, gets the job done. Trash all over the bushes however. Some boyracer types playing loud music at 11ish but I expect it with carparks like these. Please be aware you can hear gunshots from the nearby barracks during the day if that is an issue for you.
Lovely big car park Big flat plate, loads of Motorhomes could park here nice for dogs and no restrictions
Does it’s job for the night. Lots of trash in the bushes though.
It’s an okay sort of place, very big but uneven in places. Concrete pads over by the trees are level. A car came by about 9pm but soon left. Quiet after that. Fish n chip shop about half a mile away, supermarkets about a mile or so.
Despite no amenities or views a great place to stay over. Very quite, no issues except the odd boy racer & a parent giving driving lessons. A decent chippy & shops close by ( Tesco, Gregg's etc). Good signals. Recommend as a stopover break on journey.
Not the greatest location but any overnight stopover is a bonus around this area. WiFi and TV reception is good
Not the prettiest sites but free and easy to access. There didn’t seem like much choice in the area after a day in Richmond. I wouldn’t stay here again as there are no great views around but it’s fairly flat and off the main road so has some benefits.
Around an acre of level hard standing with 2 entrances. No signage at all. Some cars (around 12). Quiet with reasonably rural surroundings. Near the army barracks at Catterick. Great stopover.
Excellent spot , worth a visit g do or a night
As in main description - plenty of cars parked but no one coming or going. Just me and one other camper for the night. Plenty good enough for an overnight stopover travelling up the A1!
Large parking area, quiet and easy to get to. Lovely dog walk. No services but that's part of the charm.
Praktikabel für eine Übernachtung in Nähe der Autobahn. Jugendliche hielten sich abends eine Weile auf und ließen ihre Autos schleudern. Ruhige Nacht, angrenzende Straße ist tagsüber gut befahren und hörbar.
Very large and there were a few people here with horses when we arrived. We were the only ones all night. Also, you can here the troops in the distance playing their drums and on manoeuvres which was quite nice to hear in the morning, genuinely not too loud at all.
Great location unfortunately our night was spoilt by young lads in cars using the area to fly around causing as much disruption as possible. Let's hope we were just unlucky as it would have been ideal otherwise.
Nice and quiet. Lots of spaces. Horses in the field. Even got a fire engine display in the morning.

No toilets but for a quiet night without being bothered it was perfect. Hard standing was nice and flat.
