(EH4 5EP) Edinburgh - 46 Marine Drive

It was a decent spot, next to the sea. It’s just a big car park really. Biggest down fall was that it was really noisy with low planes flying over every 5 minutes. Not my fav spot but decent as not much around Edinburgh

First night without incident. Next day the police passed two times without saying anything, so the stay overnight seems to be fine. Regarding the potential bike thiefs mentioned bellow, i've seen at midnight two persons with ski masks on one e-motorbike sneaking around the vans looking for something. Except this creepy experience a very nice place with nice view.Planes might be disturbing you

Satnav tried to send us down a bus only road. Found a slightly longer route to arrive. The road for parking is very long, almost two parallel roads. Super parking and view. Easy access to beach. Unfortunately, directly under the main flight path for the airport. Planes frequent and noisy during day, starts around 6am untill midnight. Didn't get disturbed at nite, good nites sleep. No facilities.

Posto semplicemente incredibile! Frequentato, ci sono tante macchine e furgoni sopratutto nel fine settimana ma ne vale la pena per la vista e la possibilità di passeggiare sulla spiaggia. Non lontano dal centro.

Pour nous pas dans le petit bois mais face à la mer

parking sans interdiction de se garer la nuit comme un peu plus loin. attention apparemment vol de velo la nuit possible. vue très agréable et endroit calme. aucune commodités

Great stop overlooking the sea . we stayed from 3pm through to 8am the next day

I had a lovely day here with my dogs with great access to the beach. You can walk all the way out to cramond island when the tide is low. As others have said follow the road until it runs out as gps will stop a little short of where you can park overnight. I didn't stay overnight this time but will definitely be back

Endroit agréable pour passer la nuit. Vue sur la mer, peu de passage après 22h. On entend les avions mais très peu de trafic aérien entre 22h et 7h. Bien aller jusqu’au bout de l’impasse, le point gps n’est pas tout à fait exact sur le site

ACHTUNG: Uns wurden hier zwei mehrfach gesicherte Fahrräder vom Camper gestohlen, während wir geschlafen haben. Obwohl wir es bemerkten, hatten wir keine Chance, die Diebe zu fassen, da der Fluchtweg über die Strandpromenade genutzt wurde. Laut Polizei ist der Ort dafür bekannt, dass sehr oft Fahrräder von Campern gestohlen werden! Klare Warnung an alle! Hier sind kriminelle Banden am Werk!

Great place for a stop over, excellent sea views and fairly quiet as a dead end road. Aircraft a little annoying but just during the day. oh note the pin on the map is not quite accurate, drive along a further 300m or so.

Good place to stay for the night. flat and quiet apart from planes overhead evening and morning.

Parking accès direct plage et ballade long de la mer. un peu de voiture qui font aller et venue

Perfect spot, awesome sea view, beach walkway, many campers there, feels safe. uber 12-15gbp to centre.

Comment ne pas kiffer ce spot. Éblouissant. Super agréable de se lever sur ce spot. Vue à couper le souffle et surtout possibilité d aller faire sa séance de run et/ou de vélo le long de la mer. Bus à 200m allant directement en centre ville d Édimbourg ! Enfin endroit plutôt calme (même si passage d avion certains jours). Je recommande 100 fois.

Lovely place to sleep one night. 5 minutes from the bus to the city.

Stayed for a night. Other vans there also. Popular with walkers and dog walkers. There are no Overnight Signs but you can't park up with caravans. The far end is meant to be a popular "dogging" spot so stay opposite end (first section before the little round about) lovely views and there's a Cafe there too.
