Great spot, great views, easy access to the beach, clean toilets and showers ( £1 for 3 mins) ,nice communal room for shelter. Cost us £35 for an afternoon and a night once we'd had 2 x 3 minute showers and emptied the cassette toilet (£3). Lovely location but felt a little pricey for no hook-up capability, hence 4stars

  • 5/5

What a location! Superb. It’s a 14 mile drive on single track road with loads of passing places, well worth the effort. Lovely beach and views. Quite a few cars when we arrived late afternoon, but they left and it was us and about 5 other motorhomes. £25 overnight, but worth it for the location and facilities. Highly recommend.

  • 5/5

I stayed here on Friday night and it was a great little spot. I parked in the top car park with electric hookup for £25 and just walked down to the facilities if needed until they closed at 8pm. There is a toilet round the back that is open 24 hours if needed. Even though I arrived at 2pm there were no issues later on getting a space as some were empty still in the morning. It’s a good little spot

  • 5/5

Great campsite with good facilities. Beautiful beach and wonderful walks directly nearby. The site fills up quite quickly in the evening, so arriving earlier can help. In very strong winds, the pitches closer to the beach might be a little less sheltered, but overall it’s still a really nice place to stay.

  • 5/5

Loved this spot, well worth the long drive to get here. Great amenities hut, toilets, showers and seating area with amazing views. £27 per night to the Community trust. Amenities were spotless. You need coins for the showers though.

  • 5/5

Everything needed for a comfortable stay… showers, water, seating and the most fabulous beach!

  • 4/5

Fantastic; but note that if you arrive before 6pm, you have to pay the day time parking. We arrived a noon and leaved at 7h30 the next day and we paid therefore 30 pounds. That is why I put 4 stars only.

  • 5/5

Parked for the day to walk to the loch. Facilities clean. Didn’t stop for the night.

  • 5/5

Stayed at Husinis Park Up and couldn’t fault it. The facilities are spot on and really well thought out for what you need when stopping over. The pricing is very fair too – £25 for the overnight stay, £3 for chemical waste, £1 for a shower, and £1 for 30 mins. The location is brilliant as well, with a great beach and stunning views and nice inside seat area with tables

  • 5/5

Beautiful idyllic beach park up. Toilets (free) and showers (chargeable). Lovely warm picnic room, we ate our tea there and the dog was able to dry off. £25 from 6pm-10am for motorhomes. We saw a few white tailed sea eagles. It’s about a half an hour drive along a narrow road, fine in our VW. If it’s full you would have to turn back. Thanks to the community for running this ❤️

  • 5/5

Bel parcheggio e bella spiaggia. A pagamento per camper è gratuito per le auto. Ottimi servizi.

  • 4/5

Fantastic location with cold water swimming at the beach and nearby walks. They do charge £20 overnight but they also charge an extra £5 for all day parking if you arrive before 6pm. The spaces outside the fenced car park are also subject to charges. Despite the reasonably high cost of parking there are donation boxes everywhere saying facilities are provided for free! Tap water in first car park

  • 5/5

Lovely views of beach. Good facilities. £20 cost for overnight parking. Arrived at 14:00 and very busy. Soon emptied in the evening and only 5 camper vans over night across two car parks. Shower in the morning and good hot water for £1 for 3 mins. Nice little vending machine as well. Good walks around and highland cows roaming free. Some midges but not awful

  • 4/5

  • 3/5

The drive down is great, yes it's narrow but there are passing spaces every few seconds so as long as you take it steady you'll be fine. Was underwhelmed with the beach/ parking situation hence only 3 stars. I'm only in a small van but even I found it tight and there were no even spots so levelling blocks needed. Facilities on the other hand are great very clean and spacious!

  • 4/5

Lovely spot with gorgeous views over the beach but a bit pricey at £20 for the night and still had to pay extra for showers etc. The drive to get here was amazing, but probably only for confident drivers. The spot was lovely but I feel there are other beautiful beaches on the island to camp at for cheaper!

  • 5/5

This is a paid stopover with toilets and showers open till around 8pm thereafter a toilet is available. £20 for overnight parking. Spots are tight but there is a motorhome car park at top of hill before you get to the end of the road . Showers £1 for 3 mins. Waste point £4, water and large buckets to clean wetsuits etc. Owned by local crofter who maintains everything. max 2 nights allowed.

  • 4/5

Location and facilities are great. Gets very busy though so go off peak or in crazy weather. Some spots up from the carpark have EHU. Wonderful provision by the community. Worth the £20.

  • 5/5

A long and winding drive, along a very narrow road, but worth it for the location. Services run by the community - £1 coins essential for showers. Charges very reasonable. Enjoy the best of Scotland!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

What a drive! We are 8m and it was spectacular and worth the effort - plenty of passing spaces. The Aire was full. so carried on to car park - also full (and would have been a challenge for me anyway) so we parked immediately outside the carpark without issue. £20 which I was happy to pay (it all goes to help the North Harris Trust!) Great beach and lovely highland cattle.

  • 3/5

Nice beach BUT there are others on Harris more beautiful and easier to access. Would I do that drive again; would I have done it knowing the endpoint? NO. And not looking forward to the drive out but it's the only way back. Facilities as described. I think you might get more for your money at other place before here and you can still pay for what's missing there here à la carte.

  • 5/5

Absolutely beautiful stopover overlooking the beach £20 for the night is fine for the amenities they provide... Beach is beautiful we backed up our van so that we could open our doors out onto the beach which is a few feet away... The drive in was spectacular 15 miles of joy with a few highland cow roadworks to manage... Overall great little stop

  • 5/5

Good spot for the night with clean toilets and showers (coin operated, £1 coins only), some vending machines with snacks. Beautiful beach with great walks! Happy to pay £20 for the night since it supports the local community to keep it up and allow access to areas like this!!!

  • 4/5

What a cracking drive to this spot, 15 miles of driving pleasure, lovely park up overlooking the beach, with a handy toilet/shower block. £1 for 3 minutes in the shower, which was very welcome. Waste disposal is £3 , bring some change though as parking is paid my card for coins required for waste and shower.

  • 5/5

A good hard standing area, with all amenities. Black water, fresh water, toilet open 24/7, showers, rubbish and recycling bins. Beautiful sandy beach. And another beach only accessible by foot 3 km around the Munro. Plus you’re pretty protected from east, north and west winds. To be fair, the spectacular 14 mile drive along single track is worth paying £20 to stay the night! ( on our own!)

  • 1/5

20£ so I can have beautiful close-up side or front or backwards view of their numerous garbage dumpsters no matter how I park? And almost none of the ground is level. Rubbish. She’s giving disgusting.

  • 5/5

As others have said, it’s a bit pricey but the beach is stunning. Walk down the road a bit towards the houses and take a track on the right. This leads down to a jetty with views of Scarp island. The amenities were opened up sometime early on Sunday morning despite saying Mon-Sat.

  • 3/5

If i’m honest i was a tad disappointed with this location. Yes lots of amenities ie water, chemical point, and shower. No grey waste and you’re cramped in a car park. Moho and vans pay £5 for day and £20 for night 6 till 10. Cars are free all day. If you choose to get there after 6 to save a £5 there will be no space.

  • 4/5

Beautiful spot to camp right on the beach. A bit pricey at £20 overnight via a card only machine, but clean loos open all night, and Shower £1 for 3 mins. Well worth the drive to get there. Only spoiled by some selfish motorhome driver who took up all 3 spaces nose on to the beach ‘because if I pay for a place I want a view’. How ignorant!!!

  • 4/5

very expensive for what you get here, bearing in mind you still have to pay for the showers. car park is a squeeze and uneven. the location is unreal and the facilities are very clean however

  • 3/5

we found this parkup really underwhelming (though perhaps constant rain and wind spoiled our experience?). we thought it was really expensive compared to others we stayed in (admittedly in less popular islands). Shower facilities are nice but very expensive and no ability to get change. The spaces are small and very close together.

  • 5/5

The most stunning spot after a long but stunning drive. Bring food and spend some time! Card payment but coins for chem waste and showers. May seem pricey to stay in a motorhome with no plug in (£25 for 24 hrs) but toilets on hand and, let's face it, it is paradise! Local highland cows hold you up on your approach or exit-just telling you to chill! please do not park on verges or the machair.

  • 5/5

tres bon spot avec une salle hors sac, toilettes et douches. la vue est magnifique

  • 4/5

Beautiful location but NO ELECTRIC HOOKUP. Parking overnight costs £20 (not £10) and starts standard at 6 p.m. till 10.a.m. Extra £5 to stay rest of the day. Amenities and shower very clean. £1 for 3 mins but timer starts as soon as coin goes into machine and takes time to regulate temperature of a very weak water flow. But good for a quiet night in a great spot if you don't need electricity.

  • 4/5

In April 2024, it now costs £20 to park overnight from 6 pm to 10 am. CDP is £3 more.No grey water disposal ( possible in Tarbert) but fresh water available.Toilets and showers ok ( £1 for 3 min). A bit busy when we stopped here but it was ok eventually. A very nice beach after a long single track road but it's worth it!

  • 5/5

This is an exceptional spot and I would highly recommend. the beach and surrounding area is beyond stunning. please be aware however the road to get to this stunning site is not only single track but has a number of blind summits. it requires some confidence in driving. itbis however very much worth it

  • 5/5

Amazing place to spend a night, it’s great that people have put these facilities together for campers! It says on the door that the toilets/showers are open Monday - Saturday 8am - 8pm. I’m guessing if you come on a Sunday you might not be lucky with a shower! The shower wasn’t the most powerful and difficult to get the right temperature but it doesn’t matter when you have that view!

  • 5/5

Simply amazing park up, very reasonable prices and great facilities. Best views and lovely beach with crystal clear sea.

  • 5/5

Stunning park up - right on the beach. No EHU, but clean toilets(free) and showers (£1for 3 mins). We paid £10 for the night parking - 6pm until 10am and you can pay additional if you wish - seems to be about £1 for 2 hours. Great walk from the back of the site to Cravadale beach, which is stunning - took us about 45 mins each way and a bit boggy and hilly, but so worth it.

  • 5/5

great place, pay with card at machine, £15 a night for motorhomes but didn't have to pay for chemical disposal, didn't see any electric hook ups!

  • 5/5

Excellent spot. Came in a demountable camper to stay for the afternoon and overnight. No EHU. Great showers, toilets, communal indoor seating and vending machines - open until 8pm. Great beach for swimming. Other walks in the area. Road is tricky; take it slow but worth it. Card payment for parking makes everything easier. Vending mach coins only and don’t give change … paid £2.40 for a Snickers!!

  • 5/5

Best camping site we’ve ever stayed. Arrived around 7pm on a Tuesday & there were plenty of spots, both with electric (first lot on right) and non-electric (another minute down the road, next to the amenities building). £10 fee to maintain the beauty & cleanliness. Plenty of room for 10-ish vans in non-electric area.

  • 5/5

Great spot! The drive there was a bit tricky but worth it. Shower and toilet amenities were just what we needed. We went mid-August and it wasn’t too crowded.

  • 5/5

we had a lovely stay, £10 from 18.00-10.00 lots of spaces for other campers, 1 carpark flat the other had a slight incline, 30 seconds from the beach, amenities are 5stars, worth every donation. gets busy

  • 5/5

    Magnifique endroit parfait

  • 5/5

What a place, just beautiful. Hardstanding carpark with overnight parking. £15 for the day and night via the ticket machine or honest box if machine broken. Showers (2) cost £1 for 3mins. Clean Water free. chemical toilet (green only) £3. It also has a visitors room you can sit in. Nice walk to beach over the cliff tops not recommended if wet weather. Can get busy during the day with day visits.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot - road in very tricky but well worth the effort. Facilities best we have encountered and well worth the community charge requested of £10. Loved this site please pay requested fee to keep facility open.

  • 4/5

Beautiful spot, great beaches and a fantastic walk from the car park. Facilities were good. Not particularly flat!!

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

A perfect spot for the night. The road to it is pretty hairy and takes a while due to the single track but the spot is well worth it in my opinion. A great centre with toilet and shower facilities, you can also empty your chemical toilet, both are chargeable. The area inside closes by 8pm but still 1 communal toilet accessible from outside. electric pitches also available. £12 for the night no EHU

  • 5/5

Great facility. Nice toilets and showers (£1/3 min).

  • 5/5

Finally, a facility up to the standards! Well done Isle of Harris!

  • 5/5

Visited Thursday 4/5/23 absolutely stunning bay Paid £10 for the overnight parking. Machine takes coins and contactless. Toilets and showers were modern and clean. £1 for 3 minutes in shower. I believe it only takes £1 coins. I didn’t have any change but a group of Scottish gentlemen donated a few quid (girlfriend happy she could wash her hair)

  • 5/5

Man benötigt BARGELD, um die Campingtoilette zu leeren. Ohne Münzen ist man aufgeschmissen.

  • 5/5

Fantastic park up, £10 1800-1000. showers and toilets as well as a vending machine in an indoor picnic area. Showers £1/3 mins, indoor facilities open 8-8 (Ignore current signage that reads shut 1900-2030 for cleaning and reopens at 2030… caught us out). One toilet 24hr.

  • 5/5

Great spot, about 10-15 parking spots right by the beach. Ticket machine £10/night £5/day, can pay by card. Toilets (24/7), showers (£1/3 minutes, close 7pm), large bins, and an indoor picnic area with a vending machine. Please respect the wishes of the locals and park here, some vans had parked just outside the area (past a private land sign) - this risks access for everybody.

  • 5/5

5 motor home spots, 10 smaller van spots. £5/day, £10/night. Water, CDP, showers and toilets available. Lovely beach and great walk over the hills

  • 5/5

Literally stunning! Beautiful beach right outside the door and the best community facilities I’ve seen! Parking is now on card at a meter but only £10 per night which is an absolute bargain. Better than a lot of campsites!

  • 4/5

Wunderschöner Strand und einige Parkplätze, die wir etwas teuer fanden. Es sind auch Duschen und WCs vorhanden. Klare Empfehlungen, alleine schon wegen dem Strand.

  • 4/5

Sehr schöner Platz am „Ende der Welt“. Entsorgungsmöglichkeit für WC, genug Münzen mitnehmen. Kleiner aber schöner Sandstrand. Wandermöglichkeit.

  • 5/5

perfect place for an overnight, Good showers and toilets, no mobile signal on either ee or tesco mobile. remember to take £1 coins for showers

  • 4/5

Nice place to stay, not as nice at Kneep beach but still an easy walk to the beach which seemed popular with locals. Great facilities with showers, toilets and a lovely room to eat in, overlooking the bay. Overnight for Vans is now £10 from 6pm to 10am and showers are £1 for 3 minutes. Didn’t use the other facilities. Great nights sleep but the cattle grid can be noisy when traffic passes.

  • 5/5

Amazing spot!! Long single track road to get here but it’s well worth it. Showers £1 & communal room open 8am-8pm. Beach is stunning & hopefully will return one day

  • 5/5

Long single track road to get here, but it is worth it! There is a house with very clean showers, toilets, and a kind of sitting room with tables, seats and big windows overlookink the beach. Please make sure you pay the donation they ask for...but there are already meters that will probably be in use soon.

  • 5/5

Great spot to spend the night. amazing beach! good hot showers. £1 for 3 mins. fresh water by a tap and cdp. recommended £10 donation either by text or honesty box. looking forward to staying here again!

  • 5/5

What a stunning spot. Car park overlooking the most beautiful beach. Good showers (payable by coins) and donation box in the car park. There was one toilet that was open 24/7 and the showers/toilets were open roughly 8am - 8pm. You can also pay to dispose of chemical waste. The road down to this spot has the most amazing views and lots of highland cows around.

  • 5/5

Awesome spot! Sheltered, great view, spanking clean showers and toilets. Still donation based, 10 Pounds suggested, well worth it! 1 Pound for 3min shower, it beeps after 2min so you know how much time is left. The single track road is narrow and winding, wouldn't come down here with a large vehicle.

  • 4/5

24/7 outdoor public toilet that looks clean but does smell a bit. There’s a water tap that we assume is for drinking but not sure, and then £3 to use the chemical disposal. There’s an indoor clean area that’s supposed to be open Monday-Saturday 8am - 8pm that has hot showers (coin operated) and two toilets and an inside eating area - all very clean. Only downside is that they don’t appear to stick to the opening times.

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot to stay the night with brilliant facilities £10 a night £1 showers currently donations BUT TODAY (30/06/2022) the North Harris trust have concreted in bases for fitting parking meters. We have stayed here 3 nights this week and I can't say I've heard a coin drop in the donation boxes. we gift aided ours in the envelopes. why can't people just donate and stop spoiling it?!!!!

  • 5/5

Stunning location next to wonderful beach. Road to it is beautiful but precarious, took us an hour driving carefully - but still loosened fillings! Access to car park is narrow and at angle so entry awkward because car park is tight. £10 donation, services £3. Able sit outside for 1st time in 2 weeks, planned stay 2 nights but, yet again, storm next morning so moved on. Still one of best stays.

  • 5/5

We stayed here overnight, lovely place, we were greeted by the highland cows coming down to the carpark. Facilities close at 8pm and not open on a Sunday. On the journey in you can stop at the honesty shop at the manor and purchase local venison and honey as well as a few snacks.

  • 5/5

Great view, amazing facilities and clean. But everything works with 1 £ Coins only, so make sure to have enough with you.

  • 5/5

Stayed for one night, really nice place with showers and toilets, crazy wind when we turned up but the beach is great, post box down by the houses.

  • 5/5

Absolutely beautiful spot and amazing facilities. Beach was great for bodyboarding too. Showers were £1 for 3 mins and were nice and clean. CamperVans were parked in quite close proximity to each other but was still quiet and felt very safe

  • 5/5

It’s worth the narrow road to get here. Plenty of room. Facilities: separate recycling bins, drinking water, waste disposal, ‘common room’ which has amazing views over the bay of you’re wanting time out of the van, two showers (one large enough for disables access) and three toilet cubicles. All exceptionally clean. Donation envelopes/postbox in the building, or you can text (details on the notice) if you don’t have cash. If we didn’t have somewhere to be, we would have spent several nights here. The walk to see the highland cows and fluffy calf’s was happy bonus! Stopped over 30.09.21.

  • 5/5

This park up is perfection! Small car park overlooking a beautiful beach and has toilet/shower facilities, bins and waste disposal. Gorgeous view! £10 donation for overnight stay is so worth it, pay £1 for 3 mins shower. We are on EE and had phone service.

  • 5/5

Fantastic location, right by the beach! Good showers and toilets. No phone signal on 3 (some on EE). Small so get there early

  • 5/5

Amazing spot, busy so get down early! EHU 5 mins up the road. Honesty box. No signal. The beach is amazing. Gets busy with paddle boarders etc in the morning.

  • 5/5

What a place. About 40 mins along a single track road but so worth it. This is a community type site (works on donation/honesty box), toilets and showers super clean (£1 for 3 minutes). Seemingly there were dolphins in the bay the night before we arrived but didn’t see any when we were there.

  • 5/5

Fantastic place! Small can be busy

  • 5/5

Really great facilities. £1 to shower, chemical waste disposal and water ect. Electric just 5 mins up the road. Beautiful beach, a windy 10mile road but worth it if course.

  • 5/5

What a place, gorgeous beach with toilets and shower facilities. I wish England would take this option. Well done West Harris Trust. We stayed for two nights and you make a donation. Please be generous with your donations as this is a fantastic facility….

  • 5/5

À absolutely stunning place to send the night. Toilets, showers for £1 and plenty of space to park a campervan. It was quite busy when we got there though. Highly recommend !!

  • 5/5

    Best faculties I’ve ever seen!

  • 5/5

Fantastic location with beach views and highland cows nearby, cattle grids in camping area. Its a busy spot so you need to get there early to get a space especially if you have a motorhome. I would highly recommend.

  • 5/5

There is CDP for £3 but the showers and toilet facilities are closed for 2020 season due to covid.

  • 5/5

Was recommended this spot by a local farmer and it didn’t disappoint! There electric hookup, nearby toilet, chemical waste and water. They ask for a donation of £15 if you stay there to support the project and local community. We had no cash but we’re able to pay via PayPal on their website.

  • 5/5

Sehr schön top ausgestattet, Kein Preis Spende an den Trust ist Ehrensache!

  • 4/5

What a spot! The beach here is beautiful, we even saw seals in the morning. This set up is a small car park, fenced off from the main (but extremely quiet) road. A little less wild than some other spots, but perfect if you’re after some facilities for the night. There is a beautiful new building on site, with a seating area, toilets and hot showers (£1 for 3x mins, spotless when we visited)- this is locked at night, but there is a separate toilet open throughout. Also available are bins, chemical waste (for a small charge), and water fill up. Up the road there is a separate spot with electric hook up available for a charge, which we didn’t use. One other camper with us overnight, but space for approx 6. £10 payable in an honesty box- well worth every penny.

  • 5/5

Schöner Platz! Saubere Toiletten und Duschen! 10 Pfund wert. Sehr zu empfehlen trotz langer und abenteuerlicher Anreise

  • 5/5

Amazing spot. Both car parks available to use during lower season. Immaculate showers & toilets. Main block closed about 8:30pm but toilet available during night. Snack van opened around 10am. Suggested donation £10 a night.

  • 5/5

Beautiful place and fantastic facilities. more than worth the suggested £10 donation.

  • 5/5

Highlight of our camper trip to Lewis/Harris! Beautiful drive out to Huisinis, and the settlement itself is very picturesque with a stunning wee beach. The new facilities that have been built here by the North Harris Trust are excellent - lovely, warm wooden building with seating and view to beach, very clean toilets and showers, and £1/3 minutes for reasonable heat and pressure. Flat spaces to park the van, and a bonus burger van too open 9-6 Mon-Sat (the beef burgers were tasty!). They suggest a donation of £10/camper to park here which seems very reasonable.

  • 5/5

Well worth the winding road trek! Re-invested by the local trust in 2017 - the new visitors center is best we've seen for such an out-the-way place - was even a food van. The small side beaches feel like you've visited a pacific island. Large vans should really stay away from the visitors center part but there is a provision for larger vans 0.5mile before the area, complete with hookup.

  • 5/5

Beautiful site. Ten miles of long narrow steep and twisty single track, but worth the drive.

This spot is great. Practically on the sea front with clean modern showers and toilets!
