Really welcoming site. Turned up without reservation and they found me a space. Nice walk in Lochranza
Camping de Lochranza. Emplacements sur pelouse et sol dur, électricité, douches, laverie, Wi-Fi. Distillerie à proximité. Accès rapide en voiture depuis le ferry pour Kintyre. Randonnée le long de la côte jusqu'au Coq d'Arran (rochers par endroits). Château en ruines. Pas de commerces, prévoir des provisions.
Lochranza Campsite. Plots on lawn and hard ground, electricity, showers, laundry, WiFi. Distillery nearby. Short drive from ferry to Kintyre. Hiking around the coast to the Cock of Arran (boulders in places). Ruined castle. No shops, bring supplies.
Campingplatz Lochranza. Stellplätze auf Rasen und befestigtem Boden, Strom, Duschen, Waschsalon, WLAN. Brennerei in der Nähe. Kurze Fahrt von der Fähre nach Kintyre. Wanderung entlang der Küste zum Cock of Arran (teilweise mit Felsbrocken). Burgruine. Keine Geschäfte, Proviant mitbringen.
Camping Lochranza. Parcelas con césped y suelo duro, electricidad, duchas, lavandería, wifi. Destilería cercana. A poca distancia en coche del ferry a Kintyre. Senderismo por la costa hasta el Cock of Arran (con rocas en algunos tramos). Castillo en ruinas. No hay tiendas, así que lleve provisiones.

mermaidvibes11/07/2025Lovely campsite - deer all around and lots of walks to go on - we had a pitch for our camper right next to a stream - very friendly welcome - good facilities including a common room with fridge and freezer kettle etc and an outside covered cooking area- also place to dry damp clothes- bus service but not that great - very poor wifi otherwise would be five star

Great place. Facilities clean feels spacious. Helpful staff. Only let down wifi pretty much defunct. Bus just outside a bit hard to understand. Deer come into campsite at night.
OurTour21/05/2025Stayed 3 nights. Campsite full but feels calm, spacious enough. 4G is useless on Three and EE but site has WiFi (took a few goes to connect). Lovely location below rugged hills. Hiking around the coast to the north is top notch if hard going in places. No shops, come with food. Grey drain awkward without a pipe or bucket. £30 for two and 6m motorhome. £6 more for hook-ups. We loved it here.
petmadness30/04/2025Stayed here for our first night on Arran. Had a grass pitch with no electric. Thankfully not busy as I think it may feel crowded if campsite was be full. Facilities fine. Able to walk to Lochcranza castle. Plenty of deer around in the mornings and evenings.
Mullaghroe23/04/2025The location alone makes this worth a visit. Surrounded by hills on 3 sides , a babbling burn and great sunsets. It doesn't hurt that the Arran Distillery is a stones throw away. Walk the coastal path to watch seals basking and witness Hutton's Un-Conformity

Wir waren mit dem VW Bus drei Nächte hier. Sanitäranlagen ok, aber wenige Ablagen, nur Haken. Mitcamper könnten saubere Duschen und Spülbecken hinterlassen. Deer kommt bis an den Van. Restaurant nebenan bei uns leider immer ausgebucht, Pub im Ort auch. Sandwichstand am Fährterminal mit langer Schlange. Es ist eine beliebte Ecke, gut zum Wandern oder für die Überfahrt Richtung Kintyre und Islay.

Anyone visiting Arran in a van or motor home should think about using this site owners couldn’t be more helpful and facility’s are spot on

voor 1 nacht geweest. prima plek. veel douches. Arran distillery dichtbij, kun je ook goed lunchen. gebruik gemaakt van wasmachine en droogmolen. erg fijn. nadeel de vele midges. wij zagen er nergens anders zoveel.

Very nice campsite with good facilities, plenty of showers and toilets, pot washing and a little shop. There is a restaurant very close to the site but you have to book months in advance to get in. As a bonus the local deer keep the grass short.

Wunderschöner Camping mit Sonne bis zum Untergang. Plätze mit Wiese oder Kies, Wlan reicht auch bis zu den entferten Ecken.

Sehr schön gelegen, ruhig mit allem was man braucht. Freundliche Betreiber, sehr viel Natur. Mit Hund super! Destille um die Ecke, im Dorf Restaurants und ein mega Sandwich Laden direkt am Fährhafen.

Stayed for 1 night only. Showers and toilet block small but very clean. The views are stunning and the red deer came right up to the fence. Only downsides were that we had absolutely no phone signal and the free internet was extremely poor even though we were relatively close to reception. Also we found the cost was high at £44 for motorhome, 3 adults and a dog.
iz4dji19/07/2023Bellissimo camping, ampio e tranquillo, personale alla reception gentile e cordiale. Tutti i servizi. Piazzole hard standing per motorhome. Da qui si può passeggiare fino al Castello e al porto. Nessuna presenza di midges.

Très belle situation. Emplacements sur gravier ou sur herbe. Sanitaires propres. Sèche cheveux à disposition. Tout près du ferry pour Claonaig. Pas de commerces dans le village.

Midges are a pest in the summer months but the views here are spectacular! Facilities are clean and tidy albeit a little dated. Campsite is flat and has lots of space. Superbly located for the north end of Arran and the ferry to the Mull of Kintyre.

Beaucoup de midges car juste à côté d’une rivière. Il restait de la place quand on est arrivé (vers 14h30). Tous les services nécessaires.

Quiet site with friendly staff. Watch golden eagles soaring in the evening and the red deer mowing the campsite grass overnight.

Sehr schöner Campingplatz! Traumhafte Bergkulisse und direkt neben der Arran Whisky Distillery. Extrem freundliche Camping- Betreiber. Deshalb bleiben wir länger als geplant.
