(BS30 6HU) The Stables Campsite

Turned away despite a valid booking and fully compliant van (2 axles, not dual). Owner took one look at my mate and decided he “wasn’t the type.” No rules broken - just judged on appearance. Needed the stay for work. First time he’s ever felt profiled - and he’s a white bloke from Bath. Avoid if you value fairness.

For a bit of respite from scruff lay-bys it’s perfect. Lovely and quiet, well maintained with portable loos, bins, running water (non-drinking). No hook up or showers but for £12 via an honestly box it’s a great place to chill.

Parfait. Les espaces sont très grand. Confort minimum mais qu’a-t-on besoin de plus si on a un camping car autonome ? 12 £ la nuit 1 personne. Bristol plus d’une heure de bus. Mais Bath 35 minutes et plus intéressant

Très bien, nous somme arrivé sans téléphoner en amont. Nous avons croisé la propriétaire sur place avec de la chance. Téléphoné une journée à l'avance si vous arrivez de bonne heure pour avoir le code d'accès. Très calme beaucoup d'espace, zone de vidange et plein d'eau possible. ligne 45 et 42 pour Bristol centre au bout de la rue toute les 30min. On recommande

Ein schöner Platz,auf eine großen Wiese. Es gibt einige Baustellentoiletten und Wasser. Wir haben pro Nacht 12 Pfund bezahlt. Es war alles sehr gut bis zur Abreise. Nachdem es die ganze Nacht geregnet hatte war die Wiese weich und glatt. Die Wiese ist leicht abschüssig und zur Ausfahrt ansteigend. Nach einigen Versuchen haben wir es mit unserem Wohnmobil gerade so auf den befestigen Weg geschafft.

Lugar bonito, cuidado y muy tranquilo. A mitad de camino entre Bath y Bristol. A la entrada hay un número de teléfono donde la dueña, muy agradable, te da la contraseña del candado y luego pasa a cobrar. El precio son 16 libras para 2 adultos y 2 niños. MUY RECOMENDABLE

Einfacher Platz, wie beschrieben. Ideal um Bristol zu entdecken. Bus 300m und es dauert ca 45 Minuten bis ins Zentrum.

Great simple, good value site. Not crowded, peaceful and well maintained. Perfect for dogs. Short walk via footpath to friendly local pub, The White Hart. NB no food there but they are happy for you to order from nearby takeaway. We will definitely be back.

Very basic facilities, but really nice place to stay. Two dixiloos, chemical deposal, drinking water supply, grey water. Very idilic and quiet meadow with lots of space. We were very happy to stay here. Two adults and two kids 16£. We didn't see the owner, but got the entrance code over the phone. Very nice and easy!

c'est un endroit pour se garer, mais il n'y a rien pour vidanger ou se fournir en eau. annonce trompeuse.

turned up on a monday daytime and the gate was locked, no one there to greet us or open up despite there being plenty of campers in there already as well as lots of room, no contact number or functional website.

Der Platz ist wirklich sehr schön, aber Schmutzwasser Entsorgung geht nicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr schöner Platz, viel Platz - mindestens für 30 Wohnmobile (vorherige Meldung ist definitiv falsch) supernette Lady und ihr Mann pflegen den Platz ... Sehr saubere Mobiltoiletten, Papier und Handtuch.... Entsorgung Frischwasser Keine Dusche, kein Strom. aber dafür preiswert (10,-/nacht) Bus in 200m ca 45 min ins Zentrum Bristol (2,- pP) Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt - kommen gerne wieder ...

super gelegen, super freundlich und noch nie solche liebevollen und sauberen Dixi-Klos gesehen. Über die alte Bahntrasse führt der Weg nach Bsth und Bristol, mit dem Fahrrad 20-30 Minuten entfernt. Links am Tor steht eine Nummer, falls niemand vor Ort ist

superfreundliche Gastgeberin, gepflegter sauberer Platz. Wir hatten einen Platz an der Hecke direkt hinter der Hauptstraße und es war trotzdem relativ ruhig und vor allem nachts ohne Störung. Gute Anbindung nach Bristol per Bus oder PKW. Csfè im benachbarten Gartenmarkt, Buffet im Speisewagen des Museumsbahnhofes in der Nähe.

Ruime plekken op gras , uitzicht op hoger gras en veel privacy. Schone toiletten en drinkwater. Fietspad over railroad naar Bath dichtbij en er komt af en toe een stoomtreintje langs. Klein dorpje . Top plek.

A great site which is simple but worth it. The price is now £10 a night and we are a large motorhome. there is drinking and grey water available. Also porta-loos and these are well maintained. A lot of space to spread out so we never felt crowded. thanks we will return.

Lovely big grass site with freedom to park where you like as long as you give others space and privacy, Pam is a very lovely warm friendly lady, these are the sites we look out for to enjoy the peace, easy going, no regimentedness. 8.6 tagg axel.Bargain price £9 per night, we stayed 7 nights no problem, easy Cycling along tow path into Bath 7.8 mile or Bristol 9 miles. Bus route few minutes walk.

Paid £12.50 for the night through pitchup. Plenty of room so even with 10-15 other vans and tents we had plenty of space and privacy. We didn't meet the owners,just a quick overnight stop,to empty and refill.

It's very quiet. Lots of space between pitch ups, choose where you want to go. Not sure of max but we have 10 on and that feels just right, could add a few more. Mostly camper vans and a few tents. 2 portaloos spotless. Drinking Water tap, but dish washing etc has to be done at your pitch. High grass in the middle means you are divided from your neighbours opposite. Really well thought out.

Very very handy for Bath and so cheap. We left £10 as felt we hadn’t paid enough. We didn’t need EHU, but able to empty all waste. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Secure. Pam sends you a security code for the gate and you can come and go as you please. Flat and Lots of room

Worst experience in 2 years travelling! Pam is absolutely the rudest most unprofessional camp host ever! When I asked if she could discount the rate to £7.00 if we stayed 7 nights she literally told us to go away and not come back! Avoid this place like the plague!

Grand terrain d'herbe avec de bon endroit pour être au calme. Eau propre, WC et possibilité de vider les eaux grises. Heureusement que Pam est là, car Bristol n'est pas très accueillant pour les camping-cars.

Couldn’t recommend highly enough and completely agree with previous comments that Pam is lovely and so helpful.

PAM est très accueillante et sympathique. Grand terrain ressemblant à un hippodrome avec beaucoup de places. Services minimum à prix minimum parfait pour un camping-car. On n’en demande pas plus. Simplement dérangé par le grand silence de la nuit...! Félicitations !

Le camping de Pam est bien celui à droite en venant de Bristol ! Bon spot même si quand on va au camping, on aimerait prendre une douche ! Mais pour le prix les installations sont correctes.

Très gentil et arrangeante PAM la propriétaire, propose un champ aménagé avec l’ essentiel Wc, et vide sanitaire pas de douche et pas d’électricité

Se trata de un camping con instalaciones básicas, pero lo necesario para una autocaravana (vaciado de aguas y wc y agua potable). No hay electricidad. Cuando llegamos encontramos la valla cerrada con un candado, pero llamamos a un teléfono que había en la puerta y aunque no nos lo cogieron, a los 5 min nos mandaron por sms la clave del candado para poder entrar. Cuidado si ha llovido mucho porque es todo césped y alguna rueda puede patinar. Enfrente hay otro camping con más servicios. Nos costó 7,5£

Klare Empfehlung! Ein Anruf, sehr freundliche Auskunft, unter anderem ein Code für ein Zahlenschloss. alles auf Vertrauensbasis. Unkompliziert, Günstig, schön. Waren sehr zufrieden.

Günstiger No-Frills-Camping. Große Wiese, freie Platzwahl. Frischwasser, Abwasser-/Toiletten-Ausguss, kein Strom, keine Dusche. Zwei Dixi-Klos. Sehr nette Besitzer! Spät-Anreise problemlos möglich. Sehr günstig.

We booked by direct contact via Facebook and paid 9£/night. Very nice owners. Directions are helpful, because it can easily be mixed up with the club camp site on the other side of the road.

Lovely camp site with lots of space. Drinking water, toilets and grey water disposal. Pam was very kind in giving us all the directions to reach the site. A very convenient cycle path that links Bristol to Bath runs along the back of the site. A beautiful track that goes8miles to Bath and 9 miles to Bristol.
