A top,top campsite,not the cheapest, but our pitch right by the river was outstanding,peaceful, quiet, and friendly. Just pull out your chairs and watch the world go by. Brilliant . Had a first class meal in the Ship Inn. A bus trip into York, what a city. It was a great short break all round . Will definitely be going back.
Herzlicher Empfang, toller Platz am Fluss.Gemütliches Pub in unmittelbaren Nähe mit leckerer Küche. Es gibt wohl einen Bus in die Stadt.
Lloc molt bonic, pots anar a York en baixell(1h) o en bus 20m. L'únic inconvenient el preu, 90£ per dos nits. En tot cas dutxes molt netes i lloc molt agradable.

Très bon accueil, personnes aidantes, disponibles, aimables. sanitaires très propres. nous étions dans un champ avec un gazon coupé très ras et bien entretenu. terrain pas très droit, merci les cales. à 150m d'un embarcadère pour une navette fluviale vers York (16 £ aller retour par personne et pas tous les jours). très calme. tarif cher: 45 £ avec électricité pour 2 personnes.
Ein sehr sauberer Campingplatz in hübscher Lage am Fluss.York ist mit dem Bus oder Boot gut zu erreichen.Das Boot fährt Dienstag und Donnerstag ( ab 23.07. und dann den gesamten August).Der Pub nebenan ist gerade geschlossen,öffnet am 1.8.24 wieder.Im Nachbarort ( 2,5 km zu Fuß) kann man auch gemütlich einkehren.
A lovely view over the water. Facilities were good, probably due a bit of updating. Pub on site but didn’t visit it. People there were friendly including the owner. Lots of rules. Key for the toilet which helps keep them clean I guess. £60 for 2 nights for 1 person
nice and functional. very friendly people. one point off because playground very small, water tab dropping and no waste separation (at least not visible).
Netter Campingplatz am Flussufer. Fester Boden, somit auch bei Regen kein Problem. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Sanitäranlagen sauber. An manchen Tagen fährt ein Bootshuttle nach York, ansonsten kann man auch mit dem Bus fahren, der direkt am Eingang des Campingplatzes hält. Nebenan ist eine Kneipe.
Absolutely the best campsite we've been to in England and Scotland. Definitely the cleanest. The view is gorgeous by the river, and the facilities are SO clean!! Plenty of showers too! Even the black water disposal area was pristine. The owner was lovely too and it was a fast and easy introduction to everything . Pub right next to the campsite too! 10/10
Super camping au bord de l'eau. Sanitaires et douches bien entretenus. Personnel sympa. Arrêt de bus à proximité pour aller à York. 40 livres au mois de juillet pour une nuit.
Super camping: accueil très sympa, sanitaires très propres, bus pour York devant le camping (20 min du centre), pub à 2 min à pied et possibilité sur demande de rester garé au camping le matin avant de repartir!
Schöner Platz direkt am Wasser. Rund 3 Meilen bis in die Stadt gut mit Roller oder Fahrrad oder Bus erreichbar. York lohnt sich.
Sehr gepflegter Platz und ein guter Ausgangspunkt zur Besichtigung von York mit dem Fahrrad. Wer die britischen Straßenverhältnisse kennt, wird die Wegführung genießen, die über ruhige Nebenstraßen und sogar Radwege führt. Sehr freundliche Platzverwalter!
Ideaal om York te bezichtigen als je met een motorhome van meer dan 7m reist. We vonden nergens geen parking die het toeliet om er te blijven overnachten. De straten zijn in het centrum beangstigend smal, dit is niet aangeraden. De uitbater is zeer vriendelijk en legt u met veel plezier uit hoe je met de park&ride het beste in York komt. En vandaar terug verder op weg kan.
Stayed here for only 1 night as that’s all they had available, we definitely would have extended the stay if we could. Not cheap at £40 per night but beautiful spot on the river, lovely pub 1 minute walk away - highly recommend
Usually closed this time of year but they let us stay last night. What an amazing little place. Can imagine it thrives in the summer with the river side pitches but we still really enjoyed our walk along the river with the dog, looking at all the boats. We had a really warm welcome and would like to thank them very much for letting us stay in the closed season.
Location was ideal, great on the river side location with electricity next to us. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and the showers warm! Warm welcome upon arrival with great recommendations for food and drink. They also have a set rate with a taxi firm to go to and from York.
Great site with easy links into York. Clean site with all facilities available.

Camping très bien entretenu. Accueil sympathique. 33£ la nuit(2ad/2enf/2chiens) avec tous services compris dont électricité. Le prix pour les cc semble unique quelque soit le nombre de personnes et d'animaux. Machine à laver 4£ et sèche linge 2£ les 30 min(sachant qu'il m'a fallu deux cycles de séchage pour que le linge soit sec).Balançoire pour les enfants et pub juste à proximité. Bus ou bâteau pour accéder à York sachant que le bâteau contrairement au bus accepte les chiens.
Great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful. the bus to York stops right outside the site. I highly recommend it.
