We left in this spot our 23 feet long motorhome while we were visiting the nearby Russian Chapel. The parking lot is small but we were there on a Slovenian public holiday and around 8 AM we easily found a place. As it is under a busy road it was very quiet but we felt safe. It was completely free.

Parking (day only) for beautiful, historic memorial chapel WW1 history. Clean loos, lovely drive over the Vrsic Pass.
Free parking lot with porta potties and a trash can. Mostly useful if you wanna visit the Russian Chapel but it is also possible to start hikes. We hiked up to Slemenova Špica from here, it’s pretty steep but there’s a trail the whole way. A lot of the cars, that park in the parking lot, are only there for 10-30 minutes before they leave again, but it’s otherwise a quiet place. Motorhome night ban
