Au col, point de depart d’une rando sympathique, 2 à 3h de marche très frequenté en periode touristique. la strategie est d’arriver la veille au soir pour etre pret au petit matin

tres bel emplacement. fortement venté. certains sont répartis devant les fortes bourrasques de vent il y a beaucoup de place, ce n est donc pas la peine de se tasser comme certains le font. poubelle a disposition et stationnement payant en journee mais gratuit la nuit

Super site, magnifique et gratuit pour la nuit, par contre la route venant de idrigil est en mauvais état et limite pour les grands cc.

grand parking de départs de randonnées. une fois les derniers véhicules partis, l'endroit est calme. la nuit est autorisée, il suffit de payer le stationnement. parfait pour démarrer tôt sur les superbes sentiers autour! pas mal de midges lors de notre etape

Grand parking, aucune interdiction (payant dès 8h du matin), très calme la nuit. Parfait pour démarrer la randonnée au petit matin.

Stunning spot. Either arrive early or late, cause during the day the place is packed and has barely any place for big RVs! However, the midges forced us to stay inside in the evening. Please consider to respect the nature, keep your waste in the van and consider to park straight for leaving enough space for morning visitors. Hopefully the place remains open to the van community.

Standen heute ganz alleine hier. Keine Hinweise auf Übernachtungsverbot. Kostenpflichtig 8 bis 20 Uhr.

Sehr guter Parkplatz zum übernachten. Schön ruhig und sofort am Start der Wanderung. Definitiv nicht illegal. :)

Wir haben dort gestern zum Abend eingeparkt. Hier in den Kommentaren wird darauf verwiesen, dass Overnight Parking nicht mehr erlaubt sei. Verbotsschilder haben wir nicht gefunden. Vorsorglich haben wir bei schottischen Campern nachgefragt. Alle hatten uns versichert, dass dies wohl doch möglich sei. Wir haben die Nacht alleine dort verbracht und konnten unsere Wanderung früh morgens starten.

The max time you can park here is 6 hours. You cannot spend the night.

Highland Council have updated parking on Skye where they’re restricting parking for campers + motorhomes etc. Make sure to read the parking signs otherwise they’ll slap you with £100 fine. This car park no longer allows campers and motorhomes etc. There are bays for limited campers outside the huge car park on the road (road marked with white lines). Be careful to not go in the bus area though.

Il y a plein de place et ce soir on est a la limite du nuage avec 70 km/h de vent ! Il manque juste la neige …

Très grand parking au départ de la magnifique randonnée du Quiraing. Un conseil : venez la veille au soir, passez la nuit sur place (stationnement autorisé et gratuit de 20h à 8h), admirez le lever du soleil (le spectacle est sublime), puis partez pour la randonnée (la boucle se fait en environ 3h).

Ignore older reviews- free parking is now allowed overnight here 8pm-8am. We had a quiet night, no traffic, no wind. Note - no facilities and cell reception is there, but poor (Vodafone). 20 motorhome parks available (once the day crowds are gone of course)

Payed parking from 8am - 8pm. Free to park and stay the night after that. I paid to park for the afternoon for the hike and then stayed over. Vodafone UK very bad service for me. Very exposed location, high winds and rain and the van was moving due to the winds so didn’t get much sleep. Fine for a night with good weather though. Very quiet and ideal location for the Quiraing hike.

Everywhere else on Skye is packed with motorhomes and campervans but this car park is huge and there were only four here last night. Charging is 8am to 8 pm and free between those times. No sign of any overnight restrictions and was quiet.

Great place to park, especially to get an early start on the Quiraing Hike. Can’t beat those morning views. No toilet.

Beautiful site, the hike to The Quiraing starts here. The parking has recently been expanded and all mentions of no overnight parking have been removed. We spent the night without problems.

We day parked here for free 4 years ago. This review is to stress my disappointment at the attitude towards MHs on Skye. Most motorhomers are more than willing to pay and accept that prime locations will cost extra, and even more if overnight parking is allowed. Skye is missing the opportunity to cash in, OR just stop us at the Skye bridge ! The Quiraing is stunning. The last photo is mine.

mooi plekje maar een ferme klim om boven te geraken met een grote camper. er vertrekken verschillende mooie wandelingen vanhier.

J’ai eu beau cherché sur tous les panneaux , aucun n’indique qu’il est interdit d’y passer la nuit ! Bien pratique pour revenir de rando tard ou partir tôt !

They are making the parking area bigger. It looks like currently it is possible to stay overnight ( some lines in the regulations are crossed out and no sign prohibiting overnight stays).

Day parking only. Pay & display - £3/3 hours or £5/6 hours. Council were giving out tickets. Access road is steep/narrow with hairpin bend, but there are passing lanes. The Quiraing is worth the effort though, great hike. Car park very small and busy. Get there early before 10am. After that people were queuing for access. They seem to be building another one. Food truck on site. No services.

Wir hatten Glück, dass wir noch einen Platz bekommen haben (~15.30h), aber die Anzahl an Plätzen ist überschaubar im Vergleich zu den vielen Besucher*innen, keine Toiletten oder Mülleimer vorhanden, 3£/3h oder 5£/6h, es wird kontrolliert und Cars/Motorhomes in der Minibus-Lane haben alle Strafzettel von 100£ bekommen, ausdrücklich overnight camping verboten!

Very crowded when you get there too late. Did not get a spot and it was very hard to turn around on the single lane street. But the views on the way up and the sheep along the road made up for it.

£3 for 3 hours seems very reasonable for such a famous spot. Car park is right across from the viewpoint. Can pay by card.

Only place to see the Quirangs BUT get here early to enjoy it before the bus loads and before road gets hairy. ONLY park on road. First pull in is for minibus (tour) buses. Use second pull in. Do not use car park at all as only for cars…. Not even upper part….or you will get £100 fine…see photo.

Superbe randonnée. Les 20 premières minutes sont très accessibles après, ça devient un peu plus ardu par endroit surtout avec des enfants. Mais le début suffit à avoir une vue magnifique. Accès difficile en août, il faut avoir de la chance pour voir une place surtout en campervan

paysages au top même en marchant que 15mns .à refaire quand il fait beau . beaucoup de places accès accessible en c.c de 8m

Je hebt de 3 uur zeker nodig indien je de wandeling volledig doet, is 7 km in totaal met een pittige klim. De moeite waard om het te doen. Campers parkeren langs de weg en betaal je ticket want ze zijn zeer snel met boetes .

Unique parking pour visiter les Quirang. Interdit la nuit! C’est un endroit exceptionnel à ne pas manquer. Des randonnées existent, ne partaient pas si vite! Aujourd’hui il existe un grand parking, plus rien à voir avec les photos. Soyez attentif à l’endroit ou vous vous garez car il y a des panneaux et des places spécifiques. 3£ les 3h ou 5£ les 6h.

Hoje estivemos no Car Park e 2 motorhomes foram multados por estarem estacionados na área de minibus. estacionamos na seção mais acima e não tivemos problemas.

Comment below is incorrect, loads of space for vans to park - only the first section says minibus only. Day parking only though (£3 for 3 hours)

Might as well remove this. Signs for main car park say "No Campervans No Motorhomes" etc. T&C sign says no overnight parking of vehicles adapted for sleeping and the bay along the front is "Minibuses only" (so where can campervans even park?!). Lovely drive for those confident with single lanes and tight switchbacks but totally avoid if you're only coming up here to park up for the night.

There is now a paid car park in this spot and there’s a sign saying no overnight stays.

Neu angelegter Parkplatz. Muss bezahlt werden. 2£ oder 3£ für 3 Stunden und 5£ für höchstens sechs Stunden Aufenthalt. Bitte respektieren! Auch sehr, sehr viel los am Tag, Chaos.

Direkt an der Strasse, aber fast kein Verkehr Nachts. Wunderschöne Überraschung am Morgen mit einer unbeschreibliche schönen Aussicht auf die Insel.

Idéal pour faire les randonnées dans les Quiraing. Du monde la journée, mais le soir, nous sommes seuls au monde. Super nuit. Route d’accès pas facile, mais avec conduite calme, ça passe sans problème avec un 7 m

Un très bel endroit mais très fréquenté par des passages rapides. Ne pas arriver trop tôt.

Endroit extraordinaire au départ de la randonnée des Quiraing, calme absolu. Pas très plat, prévoir des cales.
