Newly resurfaced with tarmac. Usually used as a local recycling area, but plenty of space for about 15 vehicles. A bit busy due to the dump bins and local road to the beach nearby. 5 minutes walk into town and beach. Public toilets near beach. Lovely castle. Watch out, the access from outta town is a bumpy ride.

Neu asphaltiert. Öffentliche Toiletten in Strandnähe.

This is a lovely spot ideal to take the grandkids on the bikes (cycle track) to Alnmouth. The locals aren't happy about lots of motorhomes staying overnight (26 one night!) with their chairs out drinking until the early hours and dumping grey/black waste! Please respect this car park, don't spoil it!

  • 5/5

Great place to park up. Straight onto a cycle track or a walk into Warkworth or Amble. No facilities you need your own. Stayed loads of times now always a few people there.

  • 4/5

Great parking with more space for larger motorhomes. The road is quite slim and the other road has potholes so be mindful to jiggled about. really good space and there are bins to dispose of rubbish. 5 minute walk to the beach for a coastal walk

There isn't any issue in Europe or Scotland with parking in wonderful places like this but unfortunately the odd local has an issue .... empty vessels make the most noise... FYI most of us free loaders are higher rate tax payers.

  • 1/5

This is not a campsite. The locals don’t want free loaders. Why do you feel the need to stay without paying. You claim that you contributed to the local economy. Where did you dump your waste? Stay away.

  • 5/5

Nice park up about 14 motorhomes in when I arrived.. so parked next to bins .. lovely view looking out watching the hares in the fields. No boy racers either.

  • 1/5

ITS A CAR PARK NOT A CAMPSITE. This is private land. If you don't have permission don't stay overnight. Several places to stay legally nearby but unfortunately you can't be a freeloader you need to pay. Word of warning...if you walk through the cut in the woods watch out for all the excrement that has been dumped from the toilet cassettes.

  • 5/5

we parked here for the day, and it looks ideal for overnight. It's flat, loads of space, and no signs.

  • 1/5

This is a car park that was created to take overflow from a very busy village. It was never intended to be a free stop over for motorhomes. There were signs put up last year banning overnight sleeping and on 2 occasions these were cut down. This is private land. The residents of the village object due to the amount of toilet waste being dumped in the woods.

  • 5/5

Loads of room, kept company by 6 other MoHo’s. Really quiet night and nice beach a 5 min walk away with toilet block. The best place I stayed all weekend and even better it is FREE.

  • 5/5

We have stayed here previously with no problem and same again this time. Feels safe certainly with other MoHo’s parked up. 5 mins into village with excellent Masons Arms and village shop. We walked up to Alnemouth mainly on the beach and back on coastal path. We need to keep these parking places open so please respect. Finally a big cheer to local community.

  • 5/5

Nice stopover, plenty of other campers. Felt safe. Flat ground

  • 5/5

large place to park. No one here when i arrived . Nice little stop over

  • 4/5

stayed here with 8 other vans, plenty of space. quiet and felt safe. toilets 5 minutes walk at beach parking.

  • 4/5

There are no signs preventing overnight stays . A great stopover. Let’s keep it that way by being litter free, and by emptying nothing. On arrival I had to pick up quite a lot of litter .

  • 3/5

New sign "No Overnight Stays". Shame it was a good over night stop. This is the best car park for visiting Warkworth Village, just a short walk.

  • 5/5

Great park up, nice and quiet. Lots of space. Quick access to beach and town.

  • 4/5

recently, resurfaced. plenty of space at this time of year. quiet nights stay. Good dog walking from the car park and easy walk to the village. signs say no overnight facilities please respect our village.

  • 5/5

Quiet, easy walk to beach and pubs.

  • 1/5

no overnight parking on both carparks now.

  • 5/5

Very pleased to stay here. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away & is beautiful, as is the town. Locals are friendly. 4 other vans stayed too. Peaceful, tidy and felt very safe. Toilets on the way to the beach are open till 9pm. Would definitely recommend.

  • 3/5

This is the first carpark before the picnic car park,,signs say NO OVERNIGHT "FACILITIES" . Not signs saying no overnight parking, the car park 200mtrs further down is signed no overnight parking cooking camping ,2 tracks in one is flat but rough the others narrow tarmac rd up a steep hill for 100mtrs

  • 4/5

Stayed on 19th November, previous review incorrect there are no signs saying no overnight stay. 5 other vans.

  • 4/5

Stayed 24 08 2021. Lovely quiet spot and easy walk into town. One of the prettiest towns I have had the pleasure to visit. Castle expensive for a ruin.

  • 5/5

Great place to stay, looks better than in the photos! Close to great beach, toilets and beautiful old town. Drive up might be a squeeze for bigger motor homes. One small general waste bin and glass recycling containers. We will be back.

  • 5/5

Perfect spot, free parking site close enough for a walk to Walkworth town pubs, the castle and to the beach (which is also stunning!). Stopped over alongsode around 6 other campers but the space is massive so was parked far away from them. 100% recommend

  • 5/5

Exactly as everyone else says. Within walking distance of the village, castle, beaches and golf course. Ideal stop off point.

  • 4/5

Great spot, flat and as described, just a short walk through the field to the beach.

  • 4/5

This is a very welcome space provided for campers by the local council one assumes. Great location to explore Warkworth. No facilities but flat and spacious.

  • 5/5

A perfect spot, one of the best in the AONB. Go plant-based -Leave no trace

  • 5/5

The car park is nice and level two other campers are with us tonight. Nice walk to the beach and back lots of dog walkers around.

  • 5/5

We've stayed here a couple of times now and it's a great place to stop! It's only 5 mins walk down to the public toilets and the beach. Lovely and quiet with room for lots of vehicles.

  • 4/5

Lots of surrounding walks, seemed peaceful the whole afternoon... didn't stay overnight so can't coment on that. plenty of bins for waste and a quick walk into town.

  • 5/5

Very popular stop over car park, plenty motorhomes about. No height restrictions. Large Gravel Car park surrounded by fields so great for dogs and not a long walk to the beach, bins available also. Enjoy
