Druridge Bay Caravan & Campsite. Operated by Northumbrian County Council. Part of Druridge Bay Country Park. The park itself has a couple of lakes and cafe. The park closes at 8pm, so very peaceful. If you have booked a stay you are emailed a barrier access code. It is a short amble to the sea/beach. And a beach walk to Amble up the coast. A beautiful place to stay.

Druridge Bay Caravan & Campsite. Betrieben vom Northumbrian County Council.

Sehr schöner Platz, nette Leute, See und Meer in unmittelbarer Nähe. Radeln und Wandern gut. Leider sind die sanitären Anlagen etwas weit entfernt, aber dafür top! Alles was man braucht, ist vorhanden. Preis mit Strom 30 £ ist oberes Limit.

Location is absolutely amazing, especially if you like swimming, paddleboarding etc. But the faculties are a little basic for the price unfortunately. Friendly warden.

One of our favourite weekend escapes. Ideal if your self sufficient, as facilities a good walk away. Water at each section and ehu on pitch. Quiet overnight. Beach close by.

  • 5/5

Nice site, £30 for the night with electric. Clean Washrooms / Showers. Hardstanding level pitches and nice and quiet.

  • 4/5

Lovely and quiet campsite with really easy access to the beach. Flat pitches with water at the entry point. Dog friendly and cafe is reasonable. Toilets are a mission to get to but still nice.

Location is amazing, right near the beach and the lake. We used our paddles boards and Kayaks for a small charge. Facilities really let this site down. Showers were very dirty and the locks weren't working correctly or as described at least? The shower block is quite a trek from the camping area. Also lack of information regarding waste and recycling points. Pitches are nice and level though.

  • 2/5

If this review was solely based on location then we would have given it 5 stars as the park is beautiful and the pitches are decent, but unfortunately the toilets & showers are quite a disappointment as they are situated at least a 5 minute walk away from where the pitches are, the internal locks do not work and they were not the cleanest, which is a shame.

wonderful, quiet place. Power included. You have to leave at 11am.

  • 2/5

Nice location, but poor facilities - this morning there was no hot water in showers or basins and in addition the locks were not working on a number of cubicles. Expensive at £35 (extra £5 levied in school holidays!).

  • 4/5

Lovely location. Nice big pitches. Easy to book, pay and choose pitch online. However, as an all year round campsite we were disappointed that there were no water taps available in freezing temps. The taps are at the entrance to each group of spaces, which means a van has to block the entrance to fill up. Shower block had hot showers but the radiators were not on so very cold in these temps. £25

One of our favourite places - 4 times now. Cheaper off season (only £25), all services included. CDP a bit of a walk, as near the toilet/shower block. However we are self sufficient and empty when we leave. Lovely & quiet. Walks, beach, coffee and Amble nearby.

Great nights stay. Very quiet. Great for walking dogs and good beach access

  • 5/5

Excellent place to stop very well maintained, good showers full services available and EHU, lovely spots by the lake, very quiet and secure.

  • 3/5

Super spot for walking, running and water sports. Nice pitches but too far to the limited unisex toilets and showers.

  • 3/5

Great place for water sports, walks etc, the showers and toilets are new cubicles, key code entry, dish wash area too, it is over grass area at side of tent area. The booking is on Northumberland Council Site, hard to navigate for me.

  • 1/5

too expensive, half it to £15.00 and that would be about right.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop, lovely lake, handy cafe and visitor centre 5 minutes walk away and 7 minutes walk from the amazing Druridge Bay beach. The camping area was less than half full when I arrived which was nice. £30 per night seems a bit steep but electric hookup is included. Shame there's not a cheaper no-hookup option. That said, for a peaceful night I'd definitely be back.

We have stayed here a couple of times now and it is a beautifully quiet place. As the park itself closes at 8pm so only people staying (tents/caravans/campers/motorhomes) have access.
