Great spot we came from the north no problems getting there, we are in a H2L4 citroen relay. Please take you rubbish home.
A 20 minutes de l'autoroute M6. Signal 5G. Zone de gravier plate juste à côté d'une ruelle étroite. Place pour 2 ou 3 fourgons. On entend l'autoroute mais idée étape pour une nuit.
20 mins off the M6 motorway. 5G signal. Flat gravel area just off a narrow lane. Room for 2 or 3 vans. You can hear the motorway but idea for one night stop over.
20 Minuten von der Autobahn M6 entfernt. 5G-Signal. Flacher Schotterbereich direkt an einer schmalen Gasse. Platz für 2 oder 3 Lieferwagen. Man hört die Autobahn, aber ideal für einen Zwischenstopp für eine Nacht.
A 20 minutos de la autopista M6. Señal 5G. Zona plana de grava justo al lado de un callejón estrecho. Espacio para 2 o 3 furgonetas. Se oye la autopista pero es idea para hacer una parada por una noche.

wanderingwhere09/11/2025came in from the south and hit the bridge literally twice in a ford galaxy it's Very tight and narrow great spot but I wouldnt come here again from the south ill be heading north to get out

madblondebint10/09/2025Great park up, we made it in our 7.5m Mercedes Vario, lucky we only met 1 car on the way in & out. Stayed for 2 nights, a few fighter jets doing manoeuvres were great to see & the cows turned up a couple of times and used the van as a scratching post!

second time here it’s a fantastic park up but it’s 3.8 miles from the Tebay entrance narrow lanes and a few passing spaces… And 3.7 miles from Kirby Longsdale entrance with a lane that states at 6 foot 6 wide and the hedges are about 15 foot high on either side with almost no passing places so not for the faint hearted… I have a crafter LWB.. but a bigger vehicle would definitely struggle

A really beautiful wild spot with a walk up into the hills too. We were able to watch some paragliders here too, a popular local spot for this apparently. The downside is very narrow lanes for access to this and some of these have a 6’6” (198cm) width restriction

Great spot, no issues in a T5 camper, although we were lucky and didn’t meet anyone on the road (very few passing spots). Adds 20 mins to the motorway route but that is pretty good for such a perfect view. There is even a 600 ft walk up the fells from the parking spot. I would say easily space for three but not quite flat
littleladygrey16/01/2025I sadly didn’t make it! Van was too big to comfortably drive over the bridge, pitch black and knackered after 10 hours driving, 11pm, I reversed back and did plan to park in the lay-by just before the bridge but then realised it was prohibited so moved on, shame to not see this spot, looks lovely (MWB SPRINTER)

Nice park up out in the sticks away from the bustle (other than the m6 directly opposite). Plenty of room. Lovely views. Phone/data signal good (02). Road to get here is narrow and windy. Would NOT recommend in anything bigger than a ducato/boxer van conversion. A coach build would struggle. Very few passing places. Other than that - nice!

Great park up .. however.. it’s 20 mins (2.5 miles) along a single track twisting turning road with very few passing places .. great 5g signal fantastic views and the locals seem friendly
