Not bad for a stopover. Reasonably quiet apart from some slight road noise that diminished later into the night. The odd car pulled up at strange hours, but no boy racers. As another reviewer has stated, there were no signs saying no overnight parking. One other van stayed the night when I was there.
The no overnight parking signs are at the Lanark Loch car park, not this one. And this one is big, level and less crowded.

Nice quiet spot at night, but gets busy with the park run on a Saturday morning. Will stay again.
Spent 2 nights here while visiting family. Flat and level with plenty of space. Only issue is when it rains, puddles galore as drainage isn't the best, but it is just a car park so can't really expect too much more. Quiet and peaceful at night, very little road noise. Dog walkers in the morning from quite early, but otherwise absolutely no issues with staying here and I will do again.
No signs against sleeping here. I regularly sleep here on route to Somerset and never had any problems.
May 25. Now has a sign saying no overnight parking. Still a pleasant place for a stroll though
stayed here on a Saturday night in March. 4 other campers there, loads of space, car park was a bit muddy but felt really safe. lovely view when walking down to the Loch but weather was foul so didn't explore too much
large almost wild parking but quiet and fairly empty

Prima rustige plek op parkeerplaats bij park en meer. Wel wat wegverkeerslawaai, 's nachts stil. Gezellige en lekkere Inn op loopafstand.
Massive parking area, really quiet. Feels very safe, highly recommend for an overnight stop. No barriers and no parking restrictions.
Beaucoup d'emplacements sur ce parking très calme la nuit. Promeneurs le matin, balade possible au bord de la rivière.
On a passé une nuit ici. Beaucoup de places. Très calme la nuit. Le village de Lanark est sympathique. Pas de toilettes mais des poubelles.
