Super quiet little car park close to Dean Castle. Lovely walks
Endroit de taille moyenne très calme. C’est le parking supérieur menant aux sentiers terrestres de promenade du château de Dean. Aucune restriction de stationnement et dispose d'une poubelle pour les déchets. Je n'ai vu que quelques promeneurs de chiens hier soir. J'avais l'endroit pour moi seul. Bel endroit pour se dégourdir les jambes aussi après un trajet en voiture. Le château vaut le détour. Excellent endroit à Kilmarnock.
Very quiet medium sized spot. It’s the upper car park to dean castle walk land trails. No parking restrictions and has a bin for waste. I only saw a couple of dog walkers last night. Had the place to myself. Nice place to stretch your legs too after a drive. The castle is worth checking out. Excellent spot in Kilmarnock.
Sehr ruhiger, mittelgroßer Ort. Es ist der obere Parkplatz, der zu den Dean Castle Walk Land Trails führt. Es gibt keine Parkbeschränkungen und es gibt einen Mülleimer. Gestern Abend habe ich nur ein paar Hundeführer gesehen. Hatte das Haus für mich allein. Ein schöner Ort, um nach einer Fahrt auch die Beine zu vertreten. Das Schloss ist einen Besuch wert. Ausgezeichneter Ort in Kilmarnock.

Felt a little weird staying here as so close to residential houses and car park was quite muddy and rutted. Quite dark due to over hanging trees too. However it was free and peaceful at night.

nice place to stay right in the woods. rained the two days before, so it was pretty muddy. otherwise nice place to sleep and go for a walk to the castle which is just around the corner. also craufurdland castle nearby!
laralockenkopf19/08/2024Nicht sehr groß, bei Regen sehr matschig und nicht gerade. Ich habe keine Stelle gefunden, an der ich mich wohl gefühlt habe. Daher bin ich nicht geblieben.
vananou3805/08/2024Grand parking très calme en impasse (pas de passage). Seulement quelques promeneurs le matin. Nous n'étions que 2 vans. Bruit continu de la rivière juste à côté : pensez aux bouchons d'oreilles ;)

Stayed overnight after visiting The Open Golf at Troon. Obviously lots of others had the same idea! Three motor homes and four camper vans so quite cosy. Level car park and very quiet.
JPBx20/05/2024Ruhiger Platz, tagsüber stark frequentiert. Trotz Ortsnähe sehr viele Vögel, die am Morgen und Abend ein schönes Konzert geben.

Ideal stop over and parking to visit Carlisle caste and surrounding area. No fee 6pm- 8pm. £4.10 to park all day

Hi all, I discovered this location on route to Ayr. I was very tired and needed a spot to get some sleep before continuing my travels. This is a very nice spot indeed. I too had the place all to myself and woke up to birds singing in the woods:-)

Very quiet spot very close to Kilmarnock. Excellent. No restrictions whatsoever.
