Newly erected sign forbids overnight parking for campervans or motorhomes it's a lovely spot if your looking for lunch though good river access and gatehouse is extraordinary but we headed down a rough track in the darkness to be greeted by the sign and disappointed this was in February 2025

Access road narrow and not great towards the car park, pot holes and gravel. Car park states for Cars and Cycles only. No Camping. No overnight. No motorhomes.

Now a “No camping or overnight parking” sign up. Shame that the minority has to ruin it for the rest of us. Still a great place to park in the daytime, albeit the road in is bumpy.

Bumpy track to get to this site towards the end. Fantastic location with lots of birds. Nice walk to the priory and along the broads. Peaceful. Bird watchers coming and going as others mentioned.

Beautiful spot, long distance away from busy roads. Perfect location for a dog walk, right on the broads. 1 minute from St Benet Abbey for a lovely view. Police came down and checked late in the evening but seemed happy we were here. People arrive quite early in the morning for walks but didn’t disturb us much.

totally peaceful under big skies. I saw a Barn Owl and Short-eared Owl quartering the meadows from my van.

Be prepared for early morning disturbance from 0400 . Birdwatchers and photographers turn up early. Shortly overnight camping will not be allowed as the Norfolk Archaeological Trust is concerned about the continued emptying of waste in the car park.

Very quiet spot, go to end of road. Will be back.
