Super endroit gratuit.

Great free spot. No facilities, stayed here in a campervan overnight. Was around 4 campers parked along here staying over. Great view or the reservoir to wake up too. Some cars come past late at night but no issue. No signs to state no over night. A few pull ins to park and can park up on the grass as well.

Toller freier Platz.

It's an absolutely lovely place to stay with some amazing views. Me, my partner and our dogs stayed here three nights over christmas to do the walk up to the forest. It was lovely and peaceful. No problem parking. Would definitely go back to hike the rest of the trail ways. Can get a bit windy but didn't bother us too much.

  • 5/5

Would be perfect in the right weather. 50mph gusts and the wobble got too much!

Beautiful lay-bys on the reservoir. well known free camping spot as their is usually a few other campers here. turning from talybont direction can be a little tight (wall has been hit) but lots of room to make a proper manoeuvre. park respectfully as the laybys act as passing spots also. too many people parking blocking all of the layby

Came here Sunday afternoon in our lwb Luton van. Plenty of parking spaces along the road leading to the forest. The view over the reservoir is absolutely stunning and we enjoyed a nice walk in the forest too. Me and my partner both said it was the most quiet place we’ve stayed in a long time.. One other van stayed over night. We litter picked around our van as some people left a mess.

Me and the missus stayed here for the night on the weekend. Was hoping to get to the spot on the far side of the reservoir as I used to do overnighters with my parents there back in the 70's/80's, but would have struggled with a couple of the low branches in our transit custom. Great spot on the dam though and you could never tire of waking up to the view of the reservoir and surrounding hills

Great place, views are really nice. Water lapping against the dam and can get windy. fantastic place for overnight stay.

  • 5/5

Great park up. Amazing view of the reservoir

  • 5/5

Lovely spot right on the reservoir, safe and quiet with no passing traffic unless to the trails carpark at the end. YHA hostel close in case of emergency, water or facilties. Could also park at the end for more shelter under trees or on the roadside.

Lovely spot, didn’t stay overnight but definitely could, very quiet and a nice walk into the town where there is a shop, pub and cafe.

Not to be missed if in Wales. Clean, quiet and beautiful

  • 4/5

Lucky enough to get a spot not much space, squeezed in just. Good signal beautiful view narrow road

  • 4/5

Lovely spot, although very busy! We arrived late and were VERY lucky to nab a spot off the grass. Others were definitely parking where they shouldn't, but there didn't seem to be any issues.

  • 4/5

Decent spot. Large logging trucks use the road (at 7am!) so be sure to park with this in mind. Better suited to narrower vans than wide motorhomes? And please don't fill all the 'passing place' spots as no parking signs will inevitably result.

  • 5/5

Great place to stop, few vans parked up when i got there at 1.45am but was still room for me to park. Quiet during the night day time people out walking and riding. Fantastic to wake up to the view. Note to pop top users, wind does come down through the valley so be careful in high winds….

Really great spot, dark skies and nice and quiet!

  • 5/5

Fab spot, very quite Road as only goes to the YHA. Lovely walks, saw an otter while watching sunrise in the morning. Couple of other friendly van users. Highly recommend. No facilities.

  • 5/5

A five-star view. This was a great place to spend the night, although only a few parking spots. We arrived late and left early. The only downside is that there are no facilities, and not much in the nearby area.

  • 5/5

Stopped here for 1 night it was fantastic, very quiet and only the sound of the birds to wake up too. 7.6m motorhome no problem and fairly flat.

  • 5/5

great spot, lay bys along the bridge, good signal and views.

  • 5/5

Such a nice place I would recommend get here early. 3 bays to the park and they can fit 3-4 cars in and am on EE and have signal and 4G

  • 5/5

Free to park, no problems over night, really nice spot.

  • 4/5

Great view, quiet, plenty of space in the passing spaces on the dam. There's a light on all night on the upstream side. easy walking from there through woodland, along reservoir.

  • 5/5

lovely spot. saved to my faves . however I advise not to park on the grass and move on if the hardstand spaces are taken. police will move on anyone parked on the grass. regular patrols

  • 5/5

Amazing spot. Plenty of space to park to allow vehicles to pass, beautiful views. Good 4G signal. No rubbish bins, so be sure to take rubbish with you

  • 5/5

Brilliant spot, like others said few cars passing due to a hostel being at end of the road but no issue really. There had been heavy rains a few days before I came so the road was flooded further down, probably best to avoid parking on grass as it was very muddy. Plenty of space in pull in spots to stop for night and still allow passing

  • 5/5

lovely safe quiet spot, no facilities, but great view of the stars and nice place to wake up. slight hum from the hydro generator. but all good
