Loved this site, not many people there as it was a wet week, so managed to park on hardstanding pitch, views beautiful and got to watch the jets fly over. Toilets and showers clean and functional. Very friendly and helpful family that run it. Good value for money, would have stayed another night but the pathways to walk to Coniston were flooded. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely wonderful campsite! Stunning views, plenty of space and the owners are lovely. The showers and facilities are all clean, and made a great mid-trip stay so that we could shower and reset the van a little, before going back to lay-bys. I thought £27 was a bit steep, but everything seems expensive when you’re used to sleeping on the side of the road for free lol.

What a superb little find. Very nice quiet campsite overlooking Coniston waters. We parked at the top of the sit where we had the views, but there is also parking at the bottom next to the water. Showers, toilets and wash up area at the top. Absolutely loved this place. I’ve given it 5 stars as it is worthy, if it could have a sixth star the that would be to have a chemical waste disposal at the top of the site too. Will return

Lovely, friendly campsite with clean facilities. Only stayed one night but will definitely be back. Very spacious when we stayed, felt we had enough space to ourselves.

Lovely campsite - even with a storm overnight the loos were kept clean and tidy considering the amount of muddy shoes going through. Arrived out of reception hours and rang up to park. Bank transfer for payment. The water is lovely and the campsite peaceful. Lovely easy walk into coniston for shops, pub and wonderful cafe Herdwicks.

Completely agree with all the other comments, this place is a gem. £27 per night for 2 people, very quiet and very clean. The family are very friendly and lovely people! Highly recommend!

Great campsite and location for access to the lake! Really enjoyed our stay! Clean showers and bathrooms! Nice owners and overall a lovely stay!

This is one of the best campsites I've ever been to. We arrived Saturday night and even though their signs said they were full they still allowed us to find a spot and stay for a few nights. They limit the number of campers to let people spread out which makes it super peaceful. The views are beautiful, facilities are clean and in great shape, good value, and lots of great hikes that pass right by. The owners are extremely kind. Highly recommend!

Beautiful camp site just a stone throw from Coniston Water, lots of space for your pitch, they have hard standing plots near the top of the field, otherwise park where you want, has clean toilets and showers, washing area for pots and pans, stayed for 1 night on my way back to Leicester, it was £15 for the night in RTT, staff really nice and helpful, will definitely come back, and 100% recommend

Lovely family run site! Arrived Friday evening and had space available. Really nice facilities. Chose to stay in the bottom field by the lakeside. So picturesque, enjoyed an evening of Lake swimming and fab views! They even had a coffee/snack van arrive on Saturday morning. There is also a lovely lakeside walk available from the field. Portaloos available on site by the lake too. 10/10.
