Staff very welcoming, called up on the day to book as we couldn’t find any sites with availability on the day and they booked us in and we checked in within the hour. Lady on reception was lovely. They had horses on site which my little boy (and me an equine lover) absolutely loved watching them outside the window in the paddock. Short walk into robins hood bay too. Would definitely return!
Great campsite with access to a lot of beautiful walks and the bus between Scarborough and Whitby. Nice footpath to Robin Hoods Bay, but you can also walk on the road as there’s a footpath all the way back. The showers are lovely and warm which is welcome after a blustery walk to Whitby. The food in the Fylingdales Inn is delicious although the portions were huge! We will definitely come back!
Can’t really fault it. We’re 8.7m & can access no probs, although roads into RHB are quite steep our van can just about cope. A short walk to the main bus service (X93/4) joining Whitby & Scarborough which runs every 30mins, although last bus back from Whitby is 7.40pm. £2 set fare. Enjoyed food at The Bat Hotel & Brambles bistro in RHB.
Cost is now £44 pernight for electric hookup & no awning. There is zero Internet at this area - only mobile phone signal. Toilets were spotless. Showers were odd. I stepped in after someone else just came out, but couldn't get it to work. Went in the other, and yes, it did run for 5 mins, but like the lady before, it was running a long time after I finished, which must be a waste of money.
lovely little site to stay on, we stayed in november so was quiet which was nice. bathrooms and showers kept clean, dishwashing space and waste disposal. 15 minute walk from robin hoods bay and an easy drive into whitby. we loved our stay!
