Another stop for us and free as we don’t need EHU. Staff are friendly and the afternoon tea we had been bought as a Christmas gift was lovely. Breakfast instead of evening meal gave us our free stay.

Pub stop over, great friendly family run pub. Free stop over available if a meal is bought from the pub. Lovely log fired cosy bar and great food! Good location to explore this stunning area.

VanTheHarpoons17/10/2025Staff were lovely, food was pretty expensive for what it was and £10 for EHU is a bit much. By the time you’ve paid for your meal you could’ve stayed at a site. Road next to it is pretty busy and noisy from fairly early.

Stayed after a day at Alton Towers. Free if eating in the pub, food was great and really reasonable. I think EHU is £10. Staff great and very friendly and accommodating. Small shop in pub and breakfast, dinner and tea available. Will definitely be back!

Fab friendly staff - great spot for an overnight stay. There are three designated campervan spots in the car park (one completely level, two on a slight incline). We ate in the pub and the food was great - there's also a big beer garden with lovely views. Several walks straight from the pub. Reception even sell a few toiletries etc. 15mins from Alton Towers and close to Dovedale. Def recommend!

Super friendly pub. Great food, very professional staff - they were very busy on the Saturday we visited, but we felt neither neglected nor rushed. Nice beers on tap.

lovely family run pub, food was delicious and plentiful, breakfast and facilities open from 7.30 am . 3 hard standing pitches, fairly level on tarmac. Nice and quiet ideal base for walking and even Alton Towers!! Staff and service amazing, David was an excellent host. We will be back. Thank you.
TrevorBarnacle02/07/2023We had a Free one night stay with our camper in the carpark with our dog. It was very peaceful with very little road noise if any. The staff are very friendly and chatty. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Will stay again. I highly recommend it just to taste the quality of the food.
