Really peaceful area. The longest circular walk at around 5km is flat and easy going. A nice pub half way round at Grove Ferry has a super little beer garden overlooking the river.
Réserve naturelle nationale de Stodmarsh. Pas de barrière de hauteur. Il y a une porte qui peut être fermée. Le paiement est volontaire et sert à l'entretien de la réserve. Toilettes publiques sur le parking. Belles promenades autour de la réserve.
Pour le bien de la faune, les chiens doivent être tenus en laisse en tout temps, s'il vous plaît. Il y a une petite partie de la réserve où les chiens ne sont pas autorisés.
Stodmarsh National Nature Reserve. No height barrier. There is a gate which may be closed. Payment is voluntary and goes towards upkeep of the reserve. Public toilets in the car park. Beautiful walks around the reserve.
For the sake of wildlife, dogs must be kept on leads at all times please. There is a small section of the reserve where dogs are not permitted.

Zum Schutz der Tierwelt müssen Hunde bitte jederzeit an der Leine geführt werden. Es gibt einen kleinen Teil des Reservats, in dem Hunde nicht gestattet sind.

Harrison1964Aug27/08/2023Nice little daytime stopover. Pleasant wall around Nature Reserve, toilet ok, £3.00 parking using honesty box or Ringo. Bees nesting in one of the 2 wooden huts in the carpark so caution.

A very quiet spot in the middle of nowhere. Very picturesque and off the beaten track. Stayed here beginning of march. Site a little muddy, but there is a concrete slab for disabled parking which we used. Toilets very clean, well worth the voluntarily fee of 3£
markheathcote04/02/2023Have some binoculars round your neck in the morning and they will think you are a twitcher. Car parkes not exciting to stay in but some lovely walks. Be sure to be generous with the donation box.

Fantastic walks around the lakes, just used as a stop off in the middle of the day and didn’t stay the night but was able to use the on site loos with no issues and plenty of space for our large camper van and I can’t see any issues with even larger RVs parking the roads down to the lake can be tight in places but with slow and steady driving this isn’t an issue!
