(TN25) Wye Downs Nature Reserve Car Park

Lots of teens driving there all night, felt unsafe, next parked van got vandalised. Definitely to avoid the place.

Si vous voulez passer une bonne nuit, ne venez pas ici. Les aller retour incessant de voitures jusqu'à minuit, c'est un coin échangiste. Les gens du coin font des courses de vitesse sur la route. Bref à fuir, dommage le cadre est joli.

Toller Parkplatz direkt an schönen Spatzierwegen mit toller Aussicht. Genügend Platz auch für grosse Wohnmobile.

Netter kleiner Parkplatz auf dem auch große Wohnmobile für eine Nacht stehen können. Die Anfahrt ist sehr holprig und etwas eng aber machbar. Für unseren ersten Stop auf der Englandrundreise etwas gruselig aber im Nachhinein ein super Platz wenn man ungestört eine Nacht verbringen will.

Nice little car park with amazing walks starting from the car park.. there is a road running alongside but not a lot of traffic.. there are rubbish bins and a donation box or use the ringo app to leave your donation. this place is amazing.. our 2 boys loved the walks will be visiting here again

Très pratique. Très bel endroit. Un très beau point de vue à quelques pas de là. Pas de problème de voisinage.

Firm surface. Gently sloped but did not need chocks. A few cars came and went during the evening but no disturbance. I slept OK but my companion was woken every time a car drove past on the road during the night. There were some nice views from the parking. There is somewhere to sit and a rubbish bin too, that had recently been emptied.

Arrived on a Sunday at about 10pm, the large layby nearby was full of youngsters revving engines and doing the typical "youthy" behaviour. We went to the sheltered park up, about 50 metres up the road from the youth layby and within 3 minutes was greated with fireworks going off in the vicinity (youths). Felt uneasy and we did not stay. Stay at your own risk. Shame because it would be lovely!!!

Kleine Parkfläche am Nature Trail mit herrlicher Aussicht. Leicht abfallend. Sitzgelegenheit, Mülleimer vorhanden. Nachts ist die angrenzende Straße wenig befahren, morgens kommen Gassigänger. Aktuell sehr viele Brombeeren. -Leave no trace except your footprints-

Parking au départ de randonnées, bien aménagé, le sol est relativement plat. Lieu sympa pour y passer notre première nuit en Angleterre. Très belle vu sur la campagne environnante.

We were the first to arrive late afternoon and in the morning there were 12 cars, campers and vans with traffic arriving and leaving tru the night. Seems a very popular place. Horrible if you wish to sleep. Surroundings are fantastic.

Perfect free stopover in the shade, with lovely walks. There's a bin for rubbish and the village of Wye has a Co-op , pubs and a fantastic cycling cafe, The Hub.

Great place to stop for the night before doing Le shuttle, quite at nigth can be busy on a weekend.

Au calme, de la place pour 4 campervan. Parking au départ de promenades avec une superbe vue sur le Kent.

Wir hatten nach einem traumhaften Sonnenuntergang eine ruhige Nacht und in unserem VW Bulli. Es stand ein weiterer Camper und ein LKW dort.

Great and well surfaced with slabs. 3£ daily 24hr non mandatory fee but I paid happily to support such a great location and infrastructure. I drive 7.5m motorhome and easily parke, yes back towards bushes. but still loads space around my vehicle. Yes it's roughly 6 motorhome space but overall I think you can feet there up to 20 normal cars. Recommended without feear .

Peaceful stop for the nigh, no other vehicles on the night we stayed, apparently a lot of forestry work has gone on as a lot of trees are now gone and a huge pile of chopped logs on the edge of the car park. Saw badgers and heard owls.

Lieu agréable pour passer la nuit. Nous avons passer la nuit sur ce spot prendre le ferry le lendemain matin. Ideal pour se reposer avant le ferry ou bien pour visiter Canterbury. Des jeunes sont venus écouter de la musique en voiture mais ils n'étaient pas dérangeants.

The views and the walks are incredible and totally worth it but it's quite a busy car park and the road is fairly busy (although it was a Saturday night with a wedding across the road). I'd stay here again. There was no point I felt uncomfortable or unwelcome.

Stayed 2 nights over a weekend. stunning views of Kent countryside from top of the hills. Dogwalkers and families came & went. Night very calm. Signs of doggers on both nights, cars stopping, interior light on, flashing headlights. no 'action' that I know of took place, unless later whilst i was alseep! Behaviour neither threatening nor bothersome. They moved on when no one answered their calls.

Gorgeous spot. Spacious and a few steps away is the magnificent view of the kent downs. We arrived and there were a couple of cars leaving, after dark 2 other campers arrived. Quiet and safe

We can only reiterate the other comments - a beautiful spot. Arrived in darkness and awoke to blue skies and fabulous views. Very quiet, and no signs of dogging (apart from the furry kind).

Emplacement plat, ombragé avec de belles balades juste à côté. Très calme. Une seule voiture est arrivée dans la soirée, est restée environ 1 heure et est reparti sans histoire.

Attention : ce parking est un emplacement de « dogging » (exhibitionnisme/échangisme) la nuit. Nous avons voulu nous y garer y dormir et y avons trouvé de nombreuses voitures occupées par des couples ou célibataires phares allumés avec de la musique. Certains sites recensent des comportements de voyeurisme/intrusions envers les vans à cet endroit.

Lovely parking spot, voluntary payment of £3 for all day parking which we happily paid. Plenty of space and lovely walks around, bonus of we stayed midweek and it was still very quiet in the morning - only 1 car until around 10:30am so we felt very relaxed taking our time to get up and about.

Ruhiger, gepflegter Platz an einem wunderschönen Naturpark. Wenig Verkehr auf der daneben liegenden Straße.

Hele fijne, rustige, bijna windloze, schone plek om te overnachten. Wij hebben er 1 nacht gestaan. Fantastisch!

We gave this place a go on a Tuesday night but, groups of young people did arrive late at night to play loud music and make a racket, so it's not just on weekends. It would be perfect otherwise but, would not stay again.

Ich habe hier eine Nacht verbracht und wollte eigentlich 2 Nächte bleiben. Ein hübscher Platz an den Wanderwegen ins Naturreservat, aber hier trifft sich am Abend und in der Nacht die Jugend. Sie sind friedlich, aber laut und auch laute Musik. Ich bin am Morgen abgefahren und habe den Platz gewechselt. Ich würde hier nicht noch einmal übernachten.

Services faits!! Rapide et sans payer. Si toutes les villes pouvaient avoir ce genre d’aire, ce serait super.

L’endroit est très joli mais de nombreuses voitures de jeunes ont fait des aller et retour sur le parking jusqu’à 23h le tout avec un fort bruit de musique… le matin dès 7h c’est un grand nombres de voitures qui passent sur cette route. Nous n’aurions jamais pensé qu’autant de voitures passent sur cette route de campagne.

Schöner ruhiger Platz. Morgens beim Öffnen des campers guckte mich ne Kuh an. Herrlich.

Stayed the night. No issues in our 7.4m van. Level car park with a bin. Next to a nature reserve. 2 bars signal on EE & o2 - signal not good enough to get some work done so moved on in the morning.

Nice and quiet location, a few cars passed late at night and early morning. Perfect for an early ferry from Dover

Good spot for a night, 30min drive to Dover ferry. Very busy during the day with hikers (was a sunny Saturday) but calm during the night, do hear some cars driving by. Trashcans and good mobile reception and beautiful walk and view nearby.

Ein sehr schöner Stellplatz mitten in der Natur. Im Park kann man toll spazieren gehen. Die Anfahrt, ich sag mal tricky. Ich bin froh, dass mein Mann ein furchtlos Fahrer ist ;-).

Stopped one night only. Late arrival, early departure. Perfect for channel tunnel. Large area for parking. Only one motorhome parked up when we arrived. Plenty of room for numerous motorhomes - so no trouble parking our modest VW camper. Relatively level ground, only a slight gradient. Slept fine without levelling the vehicle. Very quiet.

Sehr schöner Platz nur zum Parken, auch für die Nacht und tolle Spaziergänge. da kann man gut 3£ spenden. Zwar Nähe an der Straße aber trotzdem ziemlich ruhig. standen hier ungestört an einem Sonntag im September um am nächsten Morgen die Fähre von Dover zu nehmen. Natürlich keinerlei Services...
