We’re off grid so came here for the water which we planned to fill up, sling a fiver in the honesty box and leave but it was getting dark so decided to pay the £12 and stay overnight. There’s really only room for 2 vehicles on the hard standing unless you squeeze in, it’s also sloping slightly but nothing a couple of ramps can’t fix. Slept well, had a walk in the morning, good parkup!
2/3 winter hard standing spots we dropped with 2 others and parked between them. Honesty box for payment or by phone. Water and waste services. looking forward to the views for our morning coffee.
Nice stop off. We had a quiet night, some road noise through day, but quiet night. Nice walks up lane to open fields to village with shop, pizza takeaway, and Indian. Honesty box or QR code for payment of £12. It's Hardstanding for about 2, maybe 3, while the grassed area is closed off for winter. Definitely stop again if in the area.
Excellent, would absolutely recommend, and will definitely use again. All the basics (water, toilet disposal, rubbish) - and a lovely location with well separated bays.
Brilliant find!! we need more of these places. Absolutely immaculate and hassles free. £12 in the blue box. No toilet or shower but perfect for a night stopover. A bit disappointed to see a larger van looking like they were there for a week or more!!!! Hope this doesn't spoil it for us. Will definitely stay again. Well done
Bellissima area sosta su prato verde curatissimo. Noi siamo arrivati tardi la sera (c'era un cartello all'inizio della strada che diceva Sold out ma credo non sia inerente all'area) , abbiamo preso posto visto che era tutto libero. Si pagano 12£ in contanti nella cassetta blu. possibilità di caricare acqua e bidoni immondizia. notte super tranquilla
Should be more places like this, easy access from the A1; fresh, grey and black water services; tidy, grassy, flat and almost level pitches; lovely views and walks nearby. Will definitely be staying here again. Well done to the owners
Sehr schöner Stellplatz! Die angrenzende Straße ist hörbar, aber nicht schlimm. Das Pub ist in 15 Minuten erreichbar - die Bäckerei gibt es nicht mehr. Wegbeschreibungen zum Pub und Restaurant liegen am Platz auf. Die oberen Parkplätze sind etwas stärker abfallend. Auf der angrenzenden Pferdeweide kommen Nachmittags Hasen raus ☺️. Wer mit „einfach“ auskommt, der findet hier ein kleines Paradies.

What a great find! All the pitches are well spaced out, great views (on the evening I was watching deer, foxes and Red Kites!). Couldn’t fault it! We’ll definitely return!
Last minute decision to go here as we were in a carpark in alnwick and didn’t like it. Glad we moved on, arrived at 7pm and there was only 4 other vehicles there the night in a big well kept field. Honesty box £12 with bins, chemical waste disposal and fresh water. Sat outside all evening until the sun went down admiring the view, what a great spot. Would definitely recommend.

Wow an absolute gem of a spot. Beautiful cut grass pitches in a field. Service area with both fresh and grey water, waste and chemical disposal, rubbish bins. And all this on a honesty box for £12, bizarrely middle of summer weekend and 6pm on a Saturday it’s empty! Still for my own field for the night. If only more places like this existed in the UK, bravo and thank you.

Nice small, very neat site. All grass on a slope. We arrived after rain and struggled as soon as the front (drive) wheels hit the grass. We used the gravel entrance area to get some momentum to reverse up to the closest (probably most level too) pitch. Should be fine if it's dry.
Perfect little stop over, bins, water, waste, and elsan, with a view, what more do you need. Very easy arrive, post £12 into post box, job done. Very neatly mown field with a slope so chocks needed. We parked at the bottom by the road but weren't disturbed, highly recommend.

Super nette Kommunikation mit Besitzer über Formular auf der Website, extrem schnelle Antwort das Platz ist. Es waren am Ende 4 Vans an einem Sonntagabend mit super viel Platz, frischer Grünfläche und Wasserauffüllung im Preis! Schöner Sonnenuntergang inklusive. Keine Toilette oder Ähnliches, aber Mülleimer. 15€ über Box zu zahlen. Empfehlenswert!

Dieser Stellplatz ist wirklich traumhaft. Man steht auf Gras (großteils nicht ganz eben) mit viel Abstand zu den Nachbarn, hat einen schönen Ausblick auf Landschaft und Pferde. Es gibt Mülltonnen, Trinkwasser und Chemietoilettenentsorgung. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich. Trotz Hauptsaison konnten wir spontan hier eine Platz finden.

Ein sehr schöner und ruhiger Platz. Wir stehen heute hier und genießen die gepflegte Wiese. Alle Plätze sind auf Gras. Leicht abschüssig, aber mit normalen Auffahrkeilen gut auszugleichen. Wunderbarer Blick auf die sanften Hügel der umliegenden Landschaft. Selbst jetzt in der Hochsaison ist wenig los.
Absolutely beautifully idyllic spot! We stayed with a rooftop tent for 2 nights. There is fresh drinking water, grey and black water disposal, bins and only £12 per night which you just post into a letterbox. There is a little noise from the roadside but this didn’t affect our sleep quality in any way! We basically had the whole field to ourselves. It’s a really quiet, calm and peaceful environment ? added bonus is the 20 mins walk through the fields into Shilbottle village which has an Indian restaurant, a pub, a cafe and a Morrisons. Perfect location for a park up!
Fijne rustige stille plek. Wel blokken nodig om camper pas te zetten. Drinkbaar water voorzien (kraantje) en voorzieningen voor toilet leeg te maken en spoelen. Met de auto niet ver van Alnwick kasteel en centrum. Dichtbij kasteel gratis parking (long stay).
Just what we need more of. Very well kept, elsan disposal, fresh water and rubbish bins. Good location for all the local attractions.

Nous avons adoré cet endroit en libre service où nous avons passé une nuit. Certains emplacements se trouvent légèrement en pente mais les places ont le mérite d’être larges et très bien délimitées.

Very relaxing and would definitely stop again. Dog loves the countryside walks. Just a shame we have to go tomorrow as a few days here would be just magic.

June 2024. Perfect! We have just spent 3 nights here. A well kept meadow with plenty of space. Far reaching views to the West over Alnwick. Simple but effective facilities for an off grid stay. We will be back. Thanks for having us. A wee bit of local road noise but quiet at night. £12 honesty box no need to book. 12+ places.
A perfect spot for a couple of nights. Well kept field with water and disposal . Easy access from A1, 3 miles from Alnwick and short walk/cycle ride to village where there are excellent local facilities. Nice views. We will definitely stay again.
An excellent, low key, stop over, with good facilities, at a reasonable price. Field had been mown, but was waterlogged, on our visit. Test before driving on to the grass. Handy for local sightseeing. We phoned ahead of our visit.

très joli spot, très calme, nous étions 4-5 camping cars, il y a au moins 10 pitchs disponibles. le terrain est un peu en pente. j avais appelé Anthony avant pour m'assurer qu il y avait de la place. On peut faire le plein d eau potable et vider les eaux noires, un peu moins pratique pour les eaux grises si vous n avez pas de tuyau flexible pour les évacuer. Magnifique coucher de soleil ! 12 £
Un immense Merci à Anthony pour mettre à disposition des camping caristes un bout de sa propriété. J'adore le concept, vous venez et repartez, il y a tout le minimum nécessaire pour être autonome, et le tout basé sur l'honnêteté via la bluebox. Nous y avons passé une très belle nuit au milieu des chevaux. Thank you Sir!

Exactly what I love - a field with a great view and basic, pristine facilities. The Flying Fox pub/cafe/bakery in Shilbottle (just under a mile via the footpath) is amazing and does wonderful GLUTEN FREE sandwiches etc. They use locally made gluten free bread, and can sell you a loaf too if they can. I'll definitely be back for this wonderful combination of campsite and place to eat gf.

Mooie plaats om tot rust te komen. Kleinschalig, in een rustige omgeving met op 1mile een Mc Donald, op 1/2 mile pizza en een Indisch restaurant. 3g en 4g ontvangst.
Such a fantastic site - beautifully laid out generous pitches, well laid out and maintained facilities, with a wonderful view. It's quite near the road but very quiet at night, between Alnmouth & Alnwick. Great artisan bakery & cafe in the village. We will be back
Gently sloping grass field with water, bins and black disposal. £12/night in honesty box. No EHU. Bottom end of field next to the road, but we had the choice of parking so didn't care Easy walk along footpath to the village Pub, shop, spa/salon, coffee shop. Must return location.
One of those places you'd love to keep to yourself! Beautifully kept field with multiple massive pitches. Sign up to "make yourself at home", bin, recycling, elsan/grey water, drinking water all available. Honesty box - please pay. Might need levellers. Superb view, minimal road noise at night. Perfect for our free-range toddler and for us to just be "present" once he'd gone to bed.

Really lovely spot, very peaceful. Way more than 5 spots mowed out- probably closer to 15 total. The grey water we couldn’t find a grate or anything for it and the pub didn’t serve food at 730pm when we walked there so ate at the Indian restaurant- delicious food, friendly staff
Fine place for overnight. Could get Black water out, Grey water needed a bucket i Think. All self-service which was good since we arrived late and left early.

Great find. Beautifully mowed out field. On a slight slope but not an issue. There is a country lane at bottom but very quiet at night and not too busy during day. Now £12 into a quirky blue post box by the Fresh water, black/grey waste and bins. Village a short walk away with pub, bakery, India and pizza. Will pop in again when up north. Thankyou, perfect

Großartiger Platz, um einen Zwischenstopp einzulegen. Schöne, grüne Rasenfläche mit Frischwasser und Mülleimern. Man steht inmitten von Pferden (eingezäunt) und die Besitzerin ist total freundlich. Eine gute Wahl, wenn man Alnwick Castle besuchen möchte und Fahrräder dabei hat. Unser Wohnmobil ist ca. 8m lang und 3m hoch, auch für noch größere Geschosse ist der Platz absolut geeignet.
Stayed one night- Great stop over not far from the A1. £10 for a Caddy. Good facilities, some flat areas but many on a bit of a slope. It is next to a rural road but near a junction which is busier than expected so you will hear cars pass / accelerate even in the small hours.
