Stayed for 1 night in my tentbox. Lovely and peacefu, had the place to myself. great walk round the forest. Shall stay here again.

The track up to the car park has lots of deep potholes so I'd say this isn't suitable for large motorhomes. The spaces are not long either but fine for us in a 5m campervan. 4 stars for that reason, it was challenging to navigate in the dark. Lovely views & peaceful night's sleep. Walks straight into the forest. Realistically there is only space for 3 vehicles. Limited 4G signal on EE and Three.

Great place to spend the night. Very quiet and amazing view. Interesting walk around the abandoned village. Anything over 6m in length won't fit in the spaces provided. Beware, the Old Pack Road trail is littered with fallen trees across the path throughout the whole forest, and some are very difficult to pass.

We spent a lovely quiet night here, just us and a 'car-camper'. The undergrowth on the track in has now been cut back. No problem getting our 5.5m motorhome in, but anything longer and you'll be poking out from the bays, blocking the track!

Wir können die Beiträge nur vollständig bestätigen. Wunderschön, sehr ruhig, eine tolle Aussicht und herrlich zum Wandern. Die Zufahrt ist durch die Büsche eng, aber nur Mut, es lohnt sich.

Fantastic park up, very quiet and no other vans. Just stayed here in our LBW crafter, it’s tight for larger vans, only really space for one but a few spots for transporter size campervans. Road in is fun but if you’re in a coach built or are the kind of person who’s precious about shiny paintwork give it a miss.

Beautiful, quiet spot. 5 or 6 spaces for campervans. motorhome would struggle to get down the road as the hedges are overgrown. but anything up to a transit size is perfect. Polmaddy village is incredibly interesting, beautiful walk through a forest on the old pack road leading to Glasgow. If you can commit to 3.5hrs walk on the pack road you'll come across some ruins of an old burial cairn.

Nice spot, room for 4 easy. access road overhanging branches but worth the squeeze.

Very peaceful spot to park up for the night. We had a a lovely walk around the abandoned village of Polmaddy and a nice restful night. Internet coverage was good too.

Great spot, v quiet and worth looking around clearance village. vehicle track quite overgrown, our Peugeot boxer van conversion is about as big as you could get in here without damaging your vehicle

  • 5/5

Great spot. Stayed over for 1 night and was the only van here. Lovely evening walk around the ruins of Polmaddy and through the forest.

Brilliant little park up access road a bit tight with over hanging bushes for first 50 yds then opened up to forest road one other van there but enough room to be apart lovely walks and a bridge over a lovely river with waterfalls and a few pools for the wild swimmers explore the old village with lots of information boards and dark sky area

Lovely quiet park up overlooking a river and the ruins of Polmoddy, the remains of a derelict village. 5 spaces. One van was here when I arrived mid afternoon but left and I didn’t see another soul. Dark sky area.

Nice but highly frequented. 3 campers tonight. Gravel road, calm, nature.
