(CT20 3BD) Sandgate Castle Road Car Park

stayed last night in a campervan - peaceful night before going to eurotunnel which is approx only 10 mins away. access road is narrow so unsuitable for larger vehicles. (We have a 6.3m van conversion )

Wir sind mit 6 m Campervan ohne Probleme auf diesen ruhigen Parkplatz gekommen. Später am Abend leerte er sich noch etwas. Ticket gezogen für den nächsten Morgen ab 8:00. Nacht war total ruhig. Am nächsten Morgen schön im LOAF Café (sehr herzliche Inhaber) an der Hauptstraße gefrühstückt.

Die Straße war voll mit schief geparkten PKW und der Kastenwagen vor mir kam schon rückwärts die Straße zurück. Wir mussten dann gegen die Einbahnstraße rausfahren und weiter suchen. Würde ich niemandem empfehlen!

Wir kamen mit unserem Peugeot Boxer (6m) um 18:30 Uhr hier an, es war alles voll. Das kann ja mal passieren, ist halb so wild. Allerdings ist die Straße teilweise SO eng, dass wir keinen cm breiter hätten sein dürfen weil beidseitig geparkt wurde. Mit Spiegel einklappen hats dann irgendwie funktioniert. Nur für maximal VW-Bus-Größe geeignet.

Great with a campervan! Narrow street getting down but we had no issues in our 5.2m van. Right on the beach (pebble beach) with a nice walking/running path — lovely for a night! Make sure to get fish and chips at The Ship Inn, just a 2 minute walk away

The car park is quiet and right on the beach front. We arrived after 6pm and were able to buy a parking ticket for 8am-10am for the next morning. Basic public toilets 3 min walk away. Had a lovely pint in The Ship Inn and had a nice coffee and breakfast at Orchard Lane across the road.

Wunderbare Aussicht, freundliche Spaziergänger. Gut für kleinere Camper. WC nachts geschlossen.

Extreem smal straatje voor een camper. Kleine buscamper is oké. Wel heel gezellig straatje.

Great park up for small van. Third time stopping here with no issue. 5 mins from the tunnel. Good cafe around the corner selling good coffee. Parking attendant is keen so make sure you have a ticket from 8am.

looks great but was no spaces when I arrived , drove passed 3 times in 30 mins and still nothing so had to move on - good luck getting a space but worth a shot - there is plenty of parking on lower sand down road / Radnor cliffe but it's on a busy road

Schöner Platz am Meer. Mit einem 7 m Wohnmobil aber viel zu eng und nicht empfehlenswert!

Free after 18:00 and close to Dover, chippy within a few 100m. Perfect for parking up the night before ferry trip. There is a free toilet (day light only) a few hundred metres down the promenade.

Es ist ein abgetrennter Parkplatz, der direkt an der Strandpromenade liegt. Wir hatten viel Platz und haben prima (wenn auch mit sehr viel Wind) geschlafen. Von 18.00-8.00 Uhr umsonst. Danach muss man ein Ticket ziehen. Wir wurden tatsächlich kontrolliert. Nach Dover zur Fähre noch 25 Minuten.

Schöner Blick aufs Meer, allerdings sehr gut besucht und daher nicht ganz so ruhig. Die Zufahrt ist bei Dunkelheit nicht besonders gut zu finden.

That's a great view. In the evening, calm and quiet. We'il visit again.

It worked. The parking space was very full and we barely fit - we have a small converted van. It was ok for one night but we left early. Nice to have a morning walk at the beach!

Super spot avant le prendre le ferry ! Un peu passant la journée mais calme le soir / la nuit ! Piste cyclable juste devant le parking direction folkestone où les d’autres villes à l’ouest ! Très belle vue sur la plage ! Toilettes à 100m fermés la nuit. On recommande !
