(SA42 0LT) Newport - Feidr Pen-Y-Bont

My favourite park-up yet. Beautiful views, great walks in either direction straight into a nature reserve, and towards Parrog Beach or Newport Sands. People were walking past, and cars passing until late, but there are speed restrictions so no van-rocking.

Good point is the view over the estuary and the bird wildlife. Bad, it's directly on a road so the cars rock the van. Was quiet after 11pm though, left no trace, thanks

Schöne naturnahe Parkmöglichkeit an einer Brücke. Wir haben hier eine ruhige Nacht verbracht. In dem Städtchen gibt es nette Pubs und ein paar interessante Läden. Es ist noch nicht verboten hier über Nacht zu stehen, bitte daher auf Sauberkeit achten, dass dies so bleibt.

Beautiful scenery, listening to the ducks, geese, mallards, fabulous sunset, downside, busy road, with tractors, during the day, quite noisy, but at night, very quiet and peaceful

A great park up over night! Stunning views of sunset to the left and sunrise to the right. We parked after the bridge for the best views. Cars do pass but it's wide enough to come off the road so it doesn't rock. Not a single car after 10pm, only the geese and ducks for company! Lovely walk from the layby too.

lovely stop off. Wide for our campervan and a quiet road after 10pm. We stayed during a storm last night so it was really windy/not sheltered but the actual park up is brilliant.

Can't fault this. Plenty wide enough for my 2.4m wide motorhome. Quiet overnight. Few cars from about 7am but not busy. More noise from ducks or geese in the AM.

Simple road side parking, but great view across the estuary & access to coast path. no issues from passing motorists, walkers or runners...

Good spot for one night, if you don't mind cars passing by your window. Traffic does calm down at night but still. Otherwise it is beautifully located on the estuary with a good walk into town. I would use again if in the area.

Very nice spot. Parking spaces on either side of the bridge. Parked with no problem for the night, with no other vehicles parked overnight. The road was a little busy, and had a beep around 9pm. Lots of waders along the estuary, and a nice walk down to the beach.

Nice spot great view over the river and watching all the wildlife quite night no hassles but the morning traffic about 8 starts to pick up to and as the road is narrow it can disturb

Scenic stop with no restrictions but locals show their animosity towards motor-homers. Happy for us to spend money in their town though. Don’t worry, we won’t be revisiting. First stopover in our 4 weeks in Wales so far where we have been made to feel unwelcome. Everywhere else has been lovely.

arrived around 4pm just before it got dark. we are almost 7m long and had no problems. quiet evening and we left around 9am.

Beautiful views to wake up to.The roadside traffic calms at nightfall and It's near the entrance to a public trail which locals use walking dogs etc early in morning.Don't obstruct trail entrance. One person left a note on my windscreen,stating it would be better if we used official campsites. So it may be best to move on in the early morning.Town is 10 mins walk.

Great place. Close to town and a few pubs/restaurants. Lovely coastal walks. Reasonably quiet although a few noisy lorries

Easy to find. Beautiful view Great view over the water. just 1 other camper with us. Road fairly busy till later in the evening. Some people walking past but no bother at all. if passing this way I will use this spot again

Parking on the side of a quiet road, near a small picnic area. Nice view over the wide river with the sea on the horizon.
