Le pub Swan à Heddon on the Wall dispose d'un grand parking goudronné et relativement plat. C'est l'endroit idéal pour séjourner lors d'une randonnée le long du mur d'Hadrien. Il peut accueillir jusqu'à quatre camping-cars. La réservation par téléphone est obligatoire car le nombre de places est limité. Le pub est ouvert de 12h à 23h du lundi au samedi et de 12h à 22h30 le dimanche. De nombreux bancs sont à disposition sur la pelouse. La vue est magnifique depuis le sommet d'une colline exposée plein sud. Les chiens y sont les bienvenus. Le personnel est très accueillant, le pub est spacieux et joliment décoré, avec un large choix de boissons pression. La cuisine est également excellente. Des jeux de société et des livres sont disponibles. Nous avons fait une partie de Ludo en famille. Les toilettes sont propres. Le pub ne propose aucun autre service. Une station-service Shell se trouve dans le village. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et nous y retournerions avec plaisir !
The Swan pub in Heddon on the Wall has a large tarmac car park, relatively flat. Perfect place to stay if exploring/walking Hadrians Wall. There is parking for up to four camper vans. You must phone and book in as numbers are limited. Pub open 12-11 Mon-Sat, 12-10.30 Sunday. Plenty of benches on a grassy area. Lovely views as you’re on top of a hill facing south. Very dog friendly. The staff are very friendly, the pub is large, well decorated with a wide selection of drinks on tap. The food is great too. There’s board games to play and books. We had a family game of Ludo. Toilets are clean. No services at the pub. A Shell petrol station is in the village. We enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to return :-)
Der Pub „The Swan“ in Heddon on the Wall verfügt über einen großen, asphaltierten und relativ ebenen Parkplatz. Er ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungstouren entlang des Hadrianswalls. Es gibt Stellplätze für bis zu vier Wohnmobile. Da die Anzahl begrenzt ist, ist eine telefonische Reservierung erforderlich. Der Pub ist montags bis samstags von 12:00 bis 23:00 Uhr und sonntags von 12:00 bis 22:30 Uhr geöffnet. Auf der Rasenfläche laden zahlreiche Bänke zum Verweilen ein. Von der Südseite des Hügels hat man eine herrliche Aussicht. Hunde sind hier herzlich willkommen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, der Pub ist groß, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet eine große Auswahl an Getränken vom Fass. Auch das Essen ist hervorragend. Es gibt Brettspiele und Bücher. Wir haben mit der Familie eine Partie Mensch ärgere Dich nicht gespielt. Die Toiletten sind sauber. Im Pub selbst gibt es keine weiteren Serviceeinrichtungen. Eine Shell-Tankstelle befindet sich im Ort. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

Hay aparcamiento para hasta cuatro autocaravanas. Es necesario reservar por teléfono, ya que el número de plazas es limitado. El pub abre de 12:00 a 11:00 de lunes a sábado y de 12:00 a 10:30 los domingos. Hay muchos bancos en una zona de césped. Preciosas vistas, ya que se encuentra en la cima de una colina orientada al sur. Se admiten perros. El personal es muy amable, el pub es grande, está bien decorado y ofrece una amplia selección de bebidas de barril. La comida también es estupenda. Hay juegos de mesa y libros. Jugamos al parchís en familia. Los baños están limpios. El pub no ofrece servicios. Hay una gasolinera Shell en el pueblo. Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra estancia y no dudaríamos en volver.
Il pub Swan a Heddon on the Wall dispone di un ampio parcheggio asfaltato, relativamente pianeggiante. È il posto perfetto dove soggiornare per esplorare/camminare lungo il Vallo di Adriano. Il parcheggio può ospitare fino a quattro camper. È necessario prenotare telefonicamente poiché i posti sono limitati. Il pub è aperto dalle 12:00 alle 11:00 da lunedì a sabato, dalle 12:00 alle 10:30 la domenica. Numerose panchine su un'area erbosa. Splendide viste dalla cima di una collina esposta a sud. Ammessi cani. Il personale è molto cordiale, il pub è ampio, ben arredato e offre un'ampia selezione di bevande alla spina. Anche il cibo è ottimo. Ci sono giochi da tavolo e libri. Abbiamo fatto una partita a Ludo in famiglia. I bagni sono puliti. Non ci sono servizi igienici al pub. In paese c'è un distributore di benzina Shell. Ci siamo trovati bene e non esiteremmo a tornarci :-)

Er is parkeergelegenheid voor maximaal vier campers. Je moet wel telefonisch reserveren, want het aantal plaatsen is beperkt. De pub is geopend van 12.00 tot 23.00 uur van maandag tot en met zaterdag en van 12.00 tot 22.30 uur op zondag. Er zijn veel bankjes op een grasveld. Prachtig uitzicht vanaf de heuvel, met uitzicht op het zuiden. Honden zijn van harte welkom. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk, de pub is groot, mooi ingericht en heeft een ruime keuze aan drankjes van de tap. Het eten is ook heerlijk. Er zijn bordspellen en boeken. We hebben met het hele gezin Ludo gespeeld. De toiletten zijn schoon. Er zijn geen voorzieningen in de pub zelf. Er is een Shell-tankstation in het dorp. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf hier en zouden zonder aarzeling terugkomen :-)

Free to stay, we arrived after 8pm and kitchen had closed but we were still made welcome and although we cooked in the camper we bought a drink at the bar and there was no charge for overnight stay in car park. Fantastic views and nice large pub either beer garden and dog friendly. Excellent
Ein sehr schöner Pub! Eine super Aussicht vom Parkplatz! Wir riefen vorher an, aber es war kein Problem. Wir kamen an einem Freitag und es wurde gerade ein Charity Race veranstaltet! Es war sehr lustig!! Toller Spot zum Übernachten! Danke dem Swan!!
lovely pub stop. pub staff are friendly and helpful. food was perfection,atmosphere was lovely, singer on in bar. booked ahead of time due to being bank holiday. car park was decent size level and quiet. defo stop in again if passing
stayed here last night .excellent place to stay ,,, callum and janet were very welcoming and friendly. Service from all staff was excellent.Food was delicious and great value for money. Will certainly be staying here again

Belle vue, repas correct mais attention il faut du réseau pour commander et payer par son smartphone. Wifi du resto tout ce qu’il y a de plus aléatoire.
An sich ein sehr schöner Platz mit sehr leckerem Essen, jedoch wird man eher geduldet als herzlich empfangen. Der Platz ist ein bisschen abschüssig.
Schitterend uitzicht over de vallei. We konden zonder reserveren een plek zoeken. Het liefst bij de picnic tafels. Zeer gastvrije eigenaar. Een biertje gedronken en lekker gegeten voor betaalbare prijs. Vanuit hier gewandeld naar Hadrian's wall.
pub muy bonito con una terraza muy acogedora no habíamos reservado ,al llegar preguntamos y tuvimos sitio stand muy amables nos tomamos una cerveza y cenamos allí muy bien aprovechamos para ver un pequeño trozo del muro de adriano
Lovely pub and friendly staff. I called up about an hour before I arrived and they were happy to let me park up overnight. I went in and enjoyed the live music and a drink for a bit. Great views and a nice quiet night.

Wunderbarer Parkplatz vom Restaurant „The Swan“. Wir bestellen ein Mittagessen, gingen spazieren und tranken später einige Bier, verbrachten dann die Nacht hier, wunderbar. Keinerlei Entsorgung/ Versorgung. Es lag auf unserem Rückweg zur Fähre welche dann noch ca 35 Minuten entfernt abfuhr…
Great stopover. Very helpful staff. Lovely food. We phoned ahead and had forgotten it was Valentine’s Day but they were still able to accommodate us. Dog friendly. Hadrians wall 5 min walk away. Definitely recommend.
Carpark is on a bit much of a slope for my liking but had a nice quiet night here. Chain pub so food is alright and it's nice and clean. Most of the staff are lovely but a couple did make it feel like a burden when I asked about an overnight stay. Overall an OK experience
Stunning views up valley. Best face towards the valley to mitigate any wind exposure. Pub is part of national chain and reserves you a table. Text sent nightly, says “Don’t need your table Clink link above” but no link given. Despite this, couldn’t really deduct a star.
Carpark nearly full on a Tues night. Food & wine was lovely. Pub shut at 10 & youths playing music arrived at 10.05. luckily they left just after 11. Hadrian's wall is just before the main road behind the hedge.
Great stopover. Friendly welcome. Make sure you phone first. They’ll want you to park on the right of the car park out of the way of deliveries.

Nice location for a stopover. I didn't really think I would call it a large car park or particularly level though. The food in the pub was ok, typical pub grub really so as long as that's your expectation then you won't be disappointed. I was the only van there overnight so really quiet and I didn't want a lie in either so I didn't mind the strimmers and mowers going at 7:30. Certainly use again.

Essential to call and book in, book a table at the same time; food is excellent... The designated van spaces seem to have gone but they requested I parked in the farest parking space in case deliveries turned up. I was expected when I arrived and got a welcoming text ahead of my arrival. The staff were excellent and really helpful. No breakfast available and no facilities. Well worth the stopover
We were the first to stay here in our camper van. Great views, friendly staff, quiet and plenty of beers,lager and cider on tap. We are two adults & two children aged 8 & 10. Children’s menu great value. All good was tasty and good quality. We stayed after our meal playing Ludo & enjoying the restful atmosphere of the pub. Definitely recommend staying here, eating & drinking too. We will return.
