a few comments on lack of WiFi. I run a TP link router with an Omni directional aerial on the roof and had no issue . lovely spot , a true gem to find .

Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous spot. It does annoy me when people don't mention when mobile internet does not work in these spots.

Nice start to Wales for us. Somehow cozy feeling car park, few dog walkers in the morning, but besides that just squirrels and peace.

Lovely spot with beautiful view. Can see it might be busy in summer or weekends as it's a fully equipped picnic spot with bench tables and brick bbq's. We stopped mid week and saw only a couple of other vehicles morning and evening with dog walkers. Lovely woodland walks nearby.

Lovely spot. We arrived at midnight on a rainy Friday, out of season, and there was one other van. Half the carpark has tree cover, we avoided this and parked next to the stones to minimise noise. Unfortunately there was a gathering of local youth in 2 cars at 04:20 with music and talking for 30min. To their credit they remained at the other end of the car park. Other than this it was serene!

I've used this place a couple of times overnight. It's very peaceful, only nature sounds to be heard. undisturbed night. Use of picnic and bbq area. Bins provided.

Do NOT follow the postcode as it takes you up this really narrow road with overhanging branches ! Which caused scratch marks to our motorhome! Also no turning points so be aware

Perfect parking and sleeping spot. Hiking, dog walks, bbq’s, nature.

Wir kamen nachts an und dachten der Weg führt ins Nichts. Haben dort aber eine ruhige mit noch ein paar Campern verbracht.

Just spent 2 nights here in wentwood forest. The car park is a nice big concrete space that is mostly level. Despite being next to the road it is super quiet and beautiful views, plenty of bins around and lots of picnic benches, there are even brick built bbq stands. Lovely walk down to the reservoir. I will definitely be coming back to this spot.

Lovely spot and we really enjoyed our night here, flat and mud free and other lovely van people. Super quiet too no road noise. No toilets or dense woodland so if you don’t have a toilet be prepared for a bit of a mission to find a spot.

Lovely, hard-standing car park to stay in for the night. The ground is fairly level so we had no issues there. It’s lovely and peaceful in the valley, a great place to relax of an evening. We watched a beautiful sunset from here! Lots of bins, benches and even a few places to put bbq’s on! Good phone signal, too. The road is a little tight coming in so beware of that, especially if it’s rained!

A great park up! Large level tarmac car park. Woke up to the sounds of birds in the trees and a great sunrise. Awesome. Jan 2024

Lovely quiet stopover, difficult to find and as others have said postcode in Sat Nav will take you down narrow lanes. Having said that car park very flat, very quiet area and lovely view, a very good stopover.

Very good park up this. Super quiet, pretty flat with a great view and good walks straight from the location. Really recommend as a place to stay. However, reason it cannot be given a 5 star is that the access to the location is not the best. Make sure you access via Usk Road and not any of the other lanes leading to the location. They are too narrow really for anything wider than a panel Van

Cracking park up. Cafe up the road, stunning views to wake up to. We heard fallow deer roaring in the distance. Bins, picnic benches and bbq areas dotted around the car park. Okay signal on EE. Stayed with 1 other campervan. Would definitely stay again!

Great spot, flat, quiet. Tea rooms nearby. Lovely walks however a few of the woodland paths are temporarily closed due to tree felling, from September 2023 - March 2024. If you turn right from the road those paths seem to all be open but of the ones on the left some I found were closed.

One of the best in the area. Very quiet overnight. Bins. Good 4g. Would recommend

Stayed here on a Wednesday night. Super quiet, everyone left by 10pm. amazing sleep as the nearest road, although close by, isn't busy overnight. Dog walkers in the morning but came and went so not much disturbance.

Arrived at 20:30 & few mins after a van arrived, parked in the middle of the car park facing our direction, lights and engine on, stayed like this for over 2 hours without saying anything. We left, couldn't find another place, went back, van gone. Woken up at 3am, same van, directly in front with lights on, we left & it followed us for 10 mins. Maybe new security for area? Felt unsafe, big shame!

Absolutely amazing stopover, peaceful and very dark, beautiful surroundings to wake up to, plenty of bins and picnic / bbq benches. Just after we arrived the police arrived, slowed down by our van turned and drove off and left us to it, so clearly no problems with this stopover. *DON’T USE POSTCODE IN SATNAV AS IT TAKES YOU DOWN A WINDY SINGLE CARRIAGE LANE *

Fantastic park up. Really quiet. Two vans pulled up briefly but didn’t stay long. Peaceful night. Picnic benches and bins (full to bursting) too.

stayed here on a wednesday night late october. arrived about 6.30. one other van parked up overnight and a couple of walkers in the morning. signal isn’t very good (reason for 4/5). felt safe as lone female. lots of good walks around but it was raining so didn’t get to explore.

Parked here for the night on a Saturday night, a few cars came and went, lots of empty hippy crack bottles so could get noisy, great for dog walks in the morning

Flat car park,find using GPS coordinates instead of post code (wentwood picnic area) good for dog walks,bins available 3G signal on virgin (Vodafone) nothing on Tesco (O2)

Decent spot for the night. 4G questionable but lovely walks make up for it!

Lovely quiet site except for wildlife which was lovely around sun down. Plenty of room for our 7.4M motorhome and fairly level with lots of spaces. Several picnic benches and a couple of BBQs for public use too. Some late night visitors flashing lights but they didn’t stay long or disturb us
