This little stop off is just beautiful. The area is a little sloped but not really noticeable. It’s positioned on a road with very little traffic (more first thing) so nice a peaceful. There are a couple of really big ‘pot holes’ and there were a few cars parked here when I arrived at around 17:00. Enough space for 6 vehicles, 5 comfortably Would definitely stay again

It’s a lovely spot with one issue…it is very unlevel / sloped. It’s a busy spot with visitors in the daytime so parking in a way that doesn’t upset the locals means you won’t be level. The trees hang low so taller vans - well, you’ll have branches on the roof! The space is large enough to take a 7.5 metre van - again, it’s a busy spot so parking friendly is key. EE and Vodafone good reception. Dead quiet at night - it’s a very quiet country road so traffic becomes non existent.
Stayed here for a couple of nights on 20th & 21st June (2025). Really lovely gem of a spot! Quite a lot of space but can get quite busy as many people enjoy the canal and walking routes. All the people are lovely, the road is rather quiet with the occasional beep when someone goes over the bridge. Would definitely recommend:)
Ein toller Platz am Flies. Wir standen hier zwei Nächte. Ab und zu kamen Käne vorbei. Man kann hier toll wandern. Unsere Tour 14,5 km zur Hälfte am flies entlang und sind an der Foxton Schleuse vorbeigekommen. Man kann dort essen und trinken. Tagsüber wird der Platz von Einheimischen für Wanderungen mit Hund genutzt . Abends findet man einen Platz. Wir können diesen Platz empfehlen.
Great little spot, far away from everything except the very quiet road and a river. Beautiful. Space for a few vans. It's 2130 on a bank holiday Monday and no one here :)
looks like a nice place, just need to go there when quiet. when we got there a large LWB van had parked diagonally across so no one else could fit in. does look lovely though so will try again another night.

Beautiful carpark. Views of sheep fields from the front and canal behind. Arrived in the dark and was pleasantly surprised when we woke up.
Schöner Platz für eine Rast. Direkter Kanalzugang. Etwas schräg aber sehr ländlich und Schafe auch gegenüber.
Uitzicht is aardig, weg is best druk. Wij zijn na de lunch verder gereden.

Nice quiet spot, no-body bothered us overnight and after about 8pm, barely heard any cars go past. Completely agree that it’s a nice setting. Dropped a star as no amenities near by, and not a HUGE amount to do in the local area, walks are all relatively flat (and a bit dull). Nice for quiet night away, would use again if I had a reason to be in the area

stayed here on Sunday night loverly views right next to the canal peaceful sleep will definitely vist again bit of a slope but it was OK for me for 1 night a few passing cars but was still a peaceful sleep would recommend
Turned up at 8pm. Another car here too. Was a quite night tbf. Afew cars beeping horns but that's because of the small bridge we are parked next too. Next to the canal so when we woke up. Nice little dog walk in the morning
Lovely spot with gorgeous views of the hills and the animals. right next to the canal. it is a small lay-by not a large one on an ever so slight slope. Next to a road. the road isn't super busy but dog walkers coming and going in the morning. Nice spot but pictures and description do make it seem better than it is. Still a lovely spot though !
