Great stopover. very dog friendly with plenty of space to exercise them. £15 paid for overnight in WH Smith.

Good overnight stop. £15 paid in WHSmiths (open 24hrs). Toilets are accessible and round the back by the hotel is pretty flat.

£15 for overnight parking. (Pay at WHSmiths) McDonald’s and WHSmith’s open all night as well as toilets. Lovely walk around the lake perfect for dogs. Great stop just across the border.

Good stopover for £13. Pretty quiet at night. There is a Mcdonalds and Costa inside.

Not a bad stop for overnight. Free 2 hours, £13 for 24 hours. Some have mentioned charges of £27 plus. I just gave the lady in WH Smiths my reg number and told her it was a camper and was charged £13. Spacious, safe, toilets, showers, shop and food all here. A bit of noise from motorway, but overall really handy. Good dog walking area.

Total zufrieden! Bin nur angefahren um zu duschen und hab diese sogar kostenlos bekommen, obwohl ich keine Parkgebühr bezahlt habe. Duschen total sauber und schön warm:)

Nice place to stop, cost is still 13£, very clean toilets, very large picnic area, I would recommend.

Modern, clean services. Free showers available. Just need to get the key from WHSmiths and leave your key with them as a deposit.

Handy stop for us on the way up to Scotland. Arrived at midnight and WH Smith was still open to pay fee. We paid £13 overnight for our Citroen Dispatch M. Lots of other campers here so we felt safe. Very clean facilities inside the service station - showers & toilets. Good services for the morning with Costa, McDonalds and WH Smiths. Road noise very quiet overnight considering proximity to M6.

Excellent spot, motorway quiet enough at night, don’t bother with the app, it doesn’t work, go into the WHSmiths and pay £13 for 24 hours. Clean facilities, McDonalds, Costa and others. Felt safe next to other motorhomes. Park in back far corner at the end of the Days Inn, cute lake/seating area. Ground slopes up towards edge of car park so bear in mind for sleeping direction if you don’t want to use chocks.

This was our first wild camp on the way to the route 500 from Somerset, after lots of driving we were relieved to stop at such an awesome stop over, 24 hour mc ds for the kids to, don’t be put off that it’s in a services it’s out the way of the main part and super quiet we haven’t heard a thing all night, will definitely stop again and again each time we visit Scotland

Stopped here and paid £13 for the night. Would have found a secluded spot for free elsewhere but needed a comfy toilet and was tired after a late start north. Very helpful and friendly staff in the whsmith where i paid for the parking. Carpark is large and safe.

£27 for our camper, I don't think that is a fair price. so we didn't stay

Our regular stop when travelling south, but just for a break. Never overnighted. Good spots to park if your van is small overlooking lake. Nice dog walks. Lots of picnic benches on the grass for picnics. Can be quite busy but quieter round the back in the Moho parking.

We stayed here for one night on our way south from Edinburgh. The motorway services were open 24/7. McDonald's was open til 22.00 and Costa opened at 7.00. We paid £13 to the very friendly, helpful woman in W H Smiths. We were in a 7.5m motorhome. We would definitely use this place again!

paid £13 for a maximum 24hrs stay here. Paid in the shop. It was quiet enough, felt secure and well lit all night. There was another motorhome in the car park as well, they arrived the same time as me McDonalds open until 10pm, toilets available all night.

Main car park doesn’t allow a Motorhome to overnight and fine now £100. Must have missed another area; we moved on and having rejected a couple of lay-bys ended up at the next services.

be careful parked in the area behind the petrol station on Christmas night as the service area was closed and barriers across carpark entrances. staff in the garage don't take payment for overnight parking. the staff told us because the service area was closed the parking was free overnight. returned from holiday to a £60 parking fine for our stopover. we have paid the money but appealed the fine

Perfect spot for the night, paid £13 for 24 hours in WHSmiths as the parking app wanted card details rather than Apple Pay etc. Very quiet nights sleep apart from the rain on the van roof!! Would definitely use again.
