As you enter Walkerith from the direction of East Stockwith there is space to park next to the river bank and a bench to relax on. There is nearby housing, but this is covered from view in Spring and Summer. I had a peaceful night and have seen others doing the same, which is how I found the spot.

Have stayed here for a couple of nights , the only facility being a rubbish bin . very quiet here at night with hardly any passing vehicles . In the countryside at night if there's no cloud cover you will get a amazing display of the stars in the sky here and the local wildlife . Please respect the site and don't abuse this amazing site
Exactly as described by others, very quiet road, BUT given it's all (just) in the 30mph zone a LOT of traffic passes at 60. There's a litter bin.
Stayed here last night nice quiet location despite being next to a small village. Had other vehicles here park on the grass,so plenty of room if this particular spot is taken.
You can also park on a section of disused road about 300 yards away on the other side of the road. Be careful parking on the original area. Large holes often filled with rainwater.

Stayed last night. Great views quietest road. Would stay again. Bin and riverside seat. Footpath along the floodbank.
Lovely place to stop places to walk dogs right next to the river a bench to sit and watch the world go by and a bin nearby. Will visit again
Good place to stay overnight. No problems and pretty quiet.
