A bit bumpy to get down the lane but plenty of room for our T300 camper.. Stamford is walkable across fields .. such a beautiful town .. no noise or issues at all .. all free, highly recommend this stopover.
Un grand. Route tranquille se terminant au pré par Stamford. J'y ai passé la nuit et c'était très calme, avec juste quelques sympathiques promeneurs de chiens qui passaient le matin.
A great. Quiet road ending at the meadow by Stamford. Stayed here overnight and was very quiet, with just a few friendly dog walkers passing by in the morning.
Ein großer. Ruhige Straße, die an der Wiese bei Stamford endet. Ich war hier über Nacht und war sehr ruhig, mit nur ein paar freundlichen Hundewanderern, die morgens vorbeikamen.
Un gran. Camino tranquilo que termina en el prado con Stamford. Pasé la noche allí y estaba muy tranquilo, con solo unos pocos paseadores de perros amigables que pasaban por la mañana.
Un grande. Strada tranquilla che termina nel prato con Stamford. Ho passato la notte lì ed era molto tranquillo, con solo pochi amichevoli dog sitter che passavano la mattina.
Een grote. Rustige weg die eindigt in de wei bij Stamford. Ik heb daar de nacht doorgebracht en het was erg rustig, met slechts een paar vriendelijke hondenuitlaters die 's ochtends langskwamen.

wedgbc131/03/2026Recommend this park up. I found turning around at end of lane okay in a T350 but agree with others don't go down lane in anything much bigger. Very quiet overnight, felt very safe. Very friendly locals. Stamford is a lovely place to visit, as is Rutland Water. As always respect the area and leave no trace.

Stopped here in January. Few dog walkers about but apart from that very quiet. 15 minute walk to town. A little on the muddy side but would definitely come again. Cat image it would be lovely in summer as there are lovely river walks nearby.

Quiet lane, no issues with street lights or vehicles. Felt really safe and only 10 min walk from town

Fab spot for a camper and agree with everything mentioned before, but just like to add (as somebody has in French) that after rain it is really muddy at the bottom end, over the level section. Top spot otherwise with a little paved path along the river 10mins walk into Stamford.

as stated quiet ,but we have a 6mtr motorhome and you must be aware we found it very difficult to turn around at the bottom of the lane, it is very narrow, if we were any longer we could never have done it .also most of the lane is on a slope ,only a couple of flat places. Great place for a small camper van though

Sehr schwer zu wenden, man muss sein Fahrzeug kennen oder braucht einen Lotsen, am Ende der Straße ist eine Einfahrt auf der aber genug Platz ist. Die Nacht war sehr ruhig, morgens sind viele Hunde Spaziergänger vor Ort. Sehr nett gelegen, direkt an einem Großen Park welcher in die Stadt mündet.

Pour les autres, les meilleures places sont tout en bas du chemin. S'il y a des VL, attendez un peu. Ils repartent après la promenade du chien. Car c'est une autoroute pour chiens.

Die Strasse ist eine schmale Sackgasse, nur an einer Stelle konnten wir mir unserem 7m langen Camper rückwärts drehen. Der Seitenstreifen ist eine schräg abfallend mit stark bewachsenen Sträuchern und Bäumen, es entspricht nicht mehr den Bildern. Evtl. für kurze Kastenwagen geeignet, doch wie erwähnt, man fährt die halbe Strasse rückwärts raus.

A lovely quaint lane edged by allotments mostly. quite narrow, but there is an opportunity to turn near the end of the lane. There are several walks at the bottom with sprawling grassland. A very peaceful night was had, and only a few dog walkers in the morning. It's literally a 5 minute walk to town with lovely pubs, restaurants, and takeaways. Stamford is such a beautiful and historic place.

Love this spot, will come again. Just a quiet track, quite tight for large vehicles as there is very little room to turn around. No services at all, this is simply a place to park. We were lucky, got here at a quiet time. Only a 10 minute walk into Stamford, which is a gorgeous town and well worth a visit.

Bonne nuit tranquille passée sur la route de l’Ecosse. Sur la partie plate au bout du chemin, la pluie ruisselle beaucoup et il y avait beaucoup de boue… Départ de chemins très sympa jusqu’à la ville.

very narrow with overhanging branch and nowhere to turn a 7 metre Motorhome. looks very nice but more suitable for campers than mororhomes. I abandoned and went to Morrisons down the road, it was perfect!

doodlopende landweg waar je parallel met de straat kan parkeren. je kan hier geen tent op de grond zetten maar wel in camper, mobilhome of in de daktent slapen. Er is een vuilbak en vlakbij een wandelpad. s'ochtends passeren er heel wat vriendelijke wandelaars.

This spot is down the end of a narrow road with potholes and has flat ground right at the end (if there is space). A great location to visit this stunning town!

Lovely quiet location with only 5 mins walk into town. Some houses opposite but we kept the noise down and there were no complaints.
